Safari :: Hp 7510 Not Printing Usps Barcodes On Mac?
Apr 29, 2012
I have an HP 7510 installed wirelessly on my mac. I use USPS.com to print priority postage labels and the barcode part of the label does not print. Also some web pages with info contained within boxes will print info outside of box , but leave info in box blank.
Info:
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), HP 7510 printer and Safari browser
whenever I try printing a PDF mailing label from the post or another parcel service containing a barcode on my wireless HP AIO printer, I get the printout as expected apart from the the label area which remains blank. could it be an issue in the latest HP drivers???
I've had my iMac for a few months now and the printing has always annoyed me. Even though I've set the default page size to US Letter in the Printers and Faxes System Preferences, when I try and print from Safari it always initially sets it up in a 12x12 size! Also, when I try and print out soemting from a website the text or whatever else doesn't fit on the page.
When I view a PDF in Safari it looks good. When I go to print it either the preview is totally blank or one page that I was viewing at the time previews and the print dialog box shows the additional 8 pages but they are all blank. I'm baffled. If I use Chrome and go from its interface to preview it works perfectly.
In windows while surfing the web you can right click on a picture of something and it'll give you the option to print picture. Is there no easy way to do this in Mac OS X? The easieast way i've found was to copy and paste it into a word file then print.
All of a sudden out of nowhere, one, and only one PDF, will only print on 1/4 of a page. Everything else prints fine, other PDFs print to full pages, anything outside of Safari prints as it should--it's just this one PDF in Safari, it's driving me crazy. I've logged out, logged back in, restarted my MBP, even reset safari--and nothing at all. All printer settings/scaling are as they should be, and the preview shows a full page document, but what comes out of the printer is 1/4 page. Here's the PDF: It prints fine in FF, but for some reason it's coming out super light/blurry/grayscale/crappy, so it's no good.
when opening a pdf in Safari I used to be able to press the right mouse button and could choose between printing and opening the pdf in Preview. This dialog seems to have disappeared (a new dialog with loads of unusefull crap like choosing tools is now shown instead). Most importantly, however, I can't print the pdfs anymore when using Safari's menu print (the pdf is o.k. it all works in firefox and opera). While the dialog opens correctly, only a blank document is printed. Also the export as pdf option does not work anymore.I'm running an Imac with mac os x lion, most recent updates installed. Safari 5.1.5
I print in safari or Firefox and every time it asks for a password from the user. I click remember the key but everytime it pops up when I want to print.
I have just upgraded my laptop to Windows Vista and I am beginning to get everything back onto the computer after a fresh install. I am now attempting to setting up the shared printers that I have on an eMac and an iMac (both are 10.4.9). I got the file sharing to work between all 3 computers. In XP, I used Bonjour and that was it. I used Bonjour and it found both printers, but it said that it could not find printer drivers. Does anyone know how to get this vista computer printing?
I have a Aluminium MacBook and for about a month or so it has been sharing files with my XP desktop PC easily. So I decided that I wanted to print wirelessly to my printer (which is connected to my XP PC via USB) from my MacBook. When I set up the printer, it finds it and everything, so i go to Word and try and print a Word Document. On the jobs manager on my XP PC, it says the document name is: 'Remote Downlevel Document' and it says spooling, printing, the either sits there forever or just vanishes. My Printer is a Canon PIXMA iP1800.
I have spent ages trying to get my printer working via my wireless network from my PC running windows. I have followed set up from about site and it seems all set up, but its not printing, I check the printer jobs and it seems its sending them as the jobs appear both on my mac and then on my p.c very briefly, but nothing prints. Printer is connected to my p.c and I can print from there. I must of done everything needed as the job is appearing on my pc and im getting a list of completed jobs at my mac end.
I am having problems printing pdf files off the web. These are past exam papers which are stored on the website. When I try to print the first page is often blank or contains a coloured box which is part of a logo on the website but the text included is missing.Â
When I try to open on preview I get completely blank pages. The websiteis a secure website.Â
I'm using a canon isensys LBP7750 with UFR ii driver. I read in the printer utility help desk that it may not work with Adobe reader v 6.0. I have downloaded the most recent printer drivers and Adobe software. I tried running PostScript but the printer just keeps pausing.Â
I bought my new (and first) unibody macbook 2 weeks ago. I'm loving everything about it
I was just wondering if the following is possible.
So I have a new macbook and a personal PC, both connected to a wireless internet network (with a D-Link Router).
There's a printer connected to my PC and I would like to know if it was possible to acces my PC through the internet and print files on it from my Macbook.
Have used AppleWorks 6 for years - used for spreadsheet application. Range of sheet: A80 thru AG 80. Printing on Canon MX850 requires 2 (two) pages to legibly cover contents. Was told by Apple Tech to use "Numbers" application as found in Snow Leopard for future tech support, as AppleWorks is no longer recognized by Apple. Same spreadsheet was copied from AppleWorks to "Numbers". When asked to print, 48 (forty-eight) pages would be required! Apple Tech was unable to solve problem, after a one-hour telephone call with Level 2 Support.
my prof posts many x-rays in his pdf files which I need to print for class. However the black background of all these images is killing my ink supply. Is there any way I can print these pdf files without their black background? I don't see any such options in Preview, but I do have access to CS5 Design Premium if perhaps someone knows a technique through one of the programs in there.
I have a Canon mp450 multifunction printer attched to my windows machine. I have shared the printer to my wireless network and my other windows machines can print to it with no problem at all but... Both of my macs will not print to it. I have tried to go through the printer setup wizard but it doesnt find my printer under default browser. So I searched for it under my network and found it and added it but the printer still doesnt print. I am brand new to mac but I am loving it other then this one issue.
whenever i print there is no option to show to do a fast draft...any way around this? i have a macbook and a hp deskjet 3845...i installed the disk for it as well...
i just dont want all my printings to be taking up all my ink
I already have my monitor calibrated to more-or-less match online photo labs that I use through Flickr. However, I just bought a HP C7280 and all my pictures seem to come out very low on the magenta/red side. Rather than having to either recalibrate my monitor and edit all the thousands of pictures I have to warm them up, is there any way that I can just calibrate the printer to print a bit 'redder'?
I have a Brother 5280DW printer which is supposed to offer duplex printing. I have an IMAC running the latest Leopard, but there seems to be no option anywhere I can find to choose duplex (double sided) printing...
I bought a used Mac Mini (2.0GHz, 4GB Ram-seller bought in July '09) this last week. It has Snow Leopard (10.6.1). It started off with trying to install my HP printer that is shared out on a Windows XP machine. Originally when I turned on the Mini, I could see all the Windows machines (two Vista and one XP) machines on my WIFI network. I used the printer & fax function in system preference to add the printer (I could see it in the list under Windows). I sent over a couple print jobs, Mac shows it is gone, Windows machine shows the job in the printer Queue. Eventually the job simply goes away after 1-2 minutes with nothing coming out.
My mac recently started printing light and faded. My printer is an HP laserjet 5si w/postcript and network card. I can print fine from my PC, everything from the mac is faded. It makes no difference whether I print with the printer driver or through gimp-print. The result is the same. I am running 10.4.11.
I have a 21.5 imac that I have setup on a wireless router. I am using the imac and two MBP's. I want to be able to print from windows xp on the MBPs but I do not know how to set it up. I can print from OSX on the MBPs but not windows.
I find the printing options are a little dry. Whenever I attempt to print something online or from Preview the only options that are available to me is selecting the number of copies, the page ranges, etc. (after clicking the blue arrow).
how to easily select specific pages to print or even just selecting options like "Even pages only" or "Odd pages only"?
I just upgraded to 10.7.3Â from 10.6.8 on my Mac Pro (3,1). Since then, I have had to wait a couple of minutes (with a spinning beach ball) just to print. During that time, the print dialog box is frozen. It doesn't matter whether the output is a network laser printer, a USB inkjet or even a PDF file. And it doesn't make a difference with the application. I have tried using generic printer drivers, reinstalling lion from the recovery drive, using DiskWarrior and Disk Utility to repair the drive, repairing disk permissions and using the combo update. I originally installed Lion from the App Store. I have a Macbook Pro with Lion that has no trouble printing over Air Port Extreme on the same laser printer.
I knew about a lot of problems with Lion and Printers, even here on this Forum I see quite a lot of posts ...but I hoped not for my Samsung CLP-310 Laser Color.I was wrong, because after a software update relating Samsung Printer (and before the update didn't print anyway ...),I'm still not able to print.I've tried to print out just after the update process without any result, so I've rebooted ... nothing, same problem.System Preference "Printer" panel says it's ok, the printer has a nice green bullet aside the icon, status not active and so on as on SnowLeopard; everything seems good, but when I print an advice reports an error "You need update the printer software, do you want I search for you ?" ... Ok, my dear search for me ... but after a while "No software updates available".
Running a Windows Storage server to have a central machine to run services of like iTunes, epbook server and printers. My biggest pain at the moment would be to print from my Mac Mini to the shared printers on the Windows server. Everything goes fine install canon drivers on the mac and connect to the printers vai LPD or SMB.With SMB I can do a print test page from the mac, as soon as I print anything the mac print status simply says sending print data on the windows server it says printing ... and that is that. The same happens for LPD, the only diffs is that the Windows machine is not seeing the print job.Â
What else can I do What server software could I then use on the server to have my iTunes centralised for Apple TV and Mac's so that Mac can actaully print I am new to the Mac world all is well... but this printing have 2 printers on the server and both are doing the same}
