View 13 Replies View Relatedi have a early 2008 octo mac pro, with it im using a philips 220ws, the problem i'm having is that scrolling a page be it safari, firefox or a pages doc. it seems to jutter along and doesnt move as smooth as my mac book, and when typing into either msn messenger, pages or even text edit letters seem to lag behind what im typing, ok it may only be for a secon and about 2 letters behind burt it gets annoying worse when back spacing. does anyone else have the problem or possible fix? im not using anything more than than the word processor, safari and msn at a time

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've subscribed to a web-based service that allows me to view court documents online, but QuickTime won't let me view anything more than the first page of these tiff files. The regular version of QuickTime won't allow me to view multiple pages, even if I do uncheck tiff files in the settings. I'm using Google Chrome, but I can't seem to find a good plugin to view multiple tiff pages. The only way I can view multiple pages on a tiff file from this Internet program is to uninstall QuickTime. But if I do that I can't get iTunes to play. I'd go ahead and pay the $30 to upgrade to QuickTime Pro if I thought that would solve my problem, but I don't know if that will work. Does anyone know if QuickTime Pro will allow users to view multiple pages in a Tiff File?

Since I installed Adobe Reader X, I cannot view pdf files in safari. If I click on a .pdf file on my hard drive, it will open up with Preview and I can view it. But before I used to be able to see pdf files in the safari browser. But now the browser is black and the url references a pdf file.

I typically update all of the software that I have been notified of an available update. I think I recently updated safari and adobe reader. I don't know if they caused the issue but I can't view pdf's in safari anymore. I can download the file and view it directly in Adobe Reader though.Â

If there's a pdf file within a website, when I follow the link all I get is a blank, black screen. I have reloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader but that hasn't helped. I'm running 10.6.8 on an older Macbook Pro.

I seam to have a problem with viewing thumbnails in Safari that has got me stumped.
When there is an attached thumbnail in a thread it won't open. Example, in the "Strange Snow Leopard menu" there is thumbnails which I can't see in Safari but I can see them if I use Firefox.
I have looked through the Safari settings but I can't find anything that says "click this too see thumbnails you idiot " anywhere.
One other thing that may be related, sometimes pictures don't show up and a little blue box with a question mark sits in there place.
Anybody off any help to this idiot or should I just revert back too Firefox?
There used to be an option in Safari under Bookmarks to 'manage bookmarks' or something like that. Now, I can't figure out how to view all my bookmarks so I can organize them in different folders through drag and drop...

I am unable to view or download bank statements from our bank online using Safari. Also tried Firefox and it didn't work. Also unable to view, open, or download any other type of PDFs on my iMac since removing the hard drive, replacing it with a new one, and reinstalling OS X Lion 10.7.4. I didn't notice this problem until after installing the recent Updates for Safari 5.1.7 and OS X Lion 10.7.4, so I don't know if it could have anything to do with them or not. I am still in the process of reinstalling programs, but everything else seems to be working fine since the switch to the new hard drive except for not being able to view PDFs.

My view mode in Safari 5.1.3 seems to zoom in or zoom out on its own. I have Mac OSX 10.7.3. As I look at the tool bar on Safari now there is a white dot to the left of the word "View"Â
Has anyone else had this issue?Â
Any suggestions on how to prevent the random zooming?Â

Sometime in the last several months, Safari (now at v5.1.2) on my Mac (OS X 10.6.8) stopped being able to view PDFs natively. It will download PDFs if I make it do that, and then I can open them in Preview or Acrobat. But when I try to open any PDF from any website within the browser, I get a blank page (or the current page) with the PDF control bezel overlay, which looks like this:Â
But the PDF content never appears in the browser. Â This happens with any PDF file, such as the one at [URL]
The Adobe PDF plugin was removed from /Library/Internet Plug-Ins a long time ago. So that is not the cause of the problem. Â
Google's Chrome browser will display PDFs in the browser. Firefox will download them and open them in Preview. It is only Safari that is giving me trouble.
i cant see the satari, file , edit , view etc on the top... when my pointer arrow up the top and pop down i can see this safari.. when i removed the pointer arrow.. the line was pop up ... how can it stay still no pop up... but i can see the corner the blue square with two arrow and i move the pointer arrow to this blue square make it smaller.... but how can the top to stop pop up make me cant see the safari etc.. i want is show the top file edit all time ..

I used to use Preview to view PDF files but found the files didn't display properly, in particular the annotations, so I installed Adobe Reader & the files displayed properly. Lately though the files have changed & open in Safari through a plugin, which doesn't display properly & don't give the option to open in Adobe Reader. I have deleted Adobe Reader & re-installed, but it is a long process to get it to open in Adobe Reader. Â How do I disable the plugins & get PDF files to open directly in Adobe Reader?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Safari Version 5.1.7 (6534.57.2) on OS X 10.6.8 (Macbook Air) when I click a PDF link, it is downloaded and then I need to double click to open in Preview. However, if I use the nightly build of WebKit [URL] - currently Version 5.1.7 (6534.57.2, r121825)” it is opened in the same tab within the browser. I do not have Adobe Reader/Acrobat installed thus do not have the Adobe plugins in the "Internet Plugins" folder (system or user). Does the production build of Safari not have a built-in PDF viewer? Or maybe there is another reason...

For some reason Safari won't open PDFs. Not sure if I can download them but PDFs that are supposed to open with a script (for example, can't just open in a new tab) do not open. Nothing happens. It won't even auto download or anything.Just tried Chrome and it downloaded just fine off the same web page.
Can display PDFs just fine if going directly to PDF link, but it definitely doesn't open with script based ones
I had downloaded a great add-on for Safari sometime ago that let you set the default to full screen view, among other things of course. It began with a G and I cant remember the name of it.
