I asked earlier. Purchased QT Pro. Every time I launch it I have to re enter the registration # which is a huge pain.Someone (Link) wanted me to open the terminal and run some diagnostic. There is NO Way i should have to go into my terminal and run programs to run an apple program I just purchased. I am using Lion 10.7.4,

After installation MC7 and Squeeze, i can no longer launch QT / QT Pro. The only way i can play .mov files is via iTunes, which for me is less than desireable. So the codec is obviously there.Â
Please note that QT 7 (non pro) was working fine prior to installing Avid & Sorenson.Â
I've tried 'repairing' QT by downloading the file, but even after the repair it still refuses to launch.Â
Also, QT is non longer listed in the 'open with' options..

I am running Safari 5.1.7, Mac OS 10.7.4 on an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo machine, and Safari was working fine until this morning when Safari starting crashing whenever it is launched; I have the same set up on a Macbook Pro and Safari is working fine. Â
Having read a few posts i have changed the setting for Safari to 32 bit mode which has enable me to launch it, however as this is a 64bit machine that was working fine until this morning that does not really seem like a solution more like a temp fixÂ

This is like my 4th thread since I've tried to update my hard drive. I got everything restored from Time Machine. BUT! Now, when I go to launch iPhoto, it just says the application quit unexpectedly. I've tried restarting and resetting. It's quite like 12 times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past month, every time a launch system preferences it takes several seconds to load. Then, when I go into desktop/screensaver it takes a long time to load. So I open activity monitor, and when system preferences is open, its using 22mb but as soon as I open desktop/screensaver, it shoots up to 735mb and goes to 45% on the user usage. I hope this makes sense. I'm not sure if this is normal or if my ram is going bad.

I recently have been working on a PowerMac G5 which came with Tiger and 5.5GB of DDR2 SDRAM, but come accross a strange issue which I've read a few people with PowerMac G5 have. At first only 2.5GB of RAM would ever register, but now I can only get 3GB to show. I've cleared the NVRAM and PRAM to no avail, upgraded to 10.5.8 with all updates with no luck. I tried swapping the modules about and found that sticks only register with an identical stick in the same numbered slot on the other group. This is really confusing me, and I'm certain the sticks work, but I can't grasp what's going on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several HD videos from my Sony NEX-3 camera that will not play very well from within iMovie. They freeze up, or run in slow motion while the sound track continues without any problem. I've seen other related comments on this forum, but no one has suggested a fix yet. I can play my clips just fine from the finder menu using "Quick Look". Other videos from the same camera work, what has changed?

I just registered iLife 09 on the Apple site, however, what is the point? I can see the point of tethering software with a serial number to Apple, but how do Apple know I actually bought iLife when I registered it? View 2 Replies View RelatedThe font situation on Mac, and especially in select applications such as Safari, is laughable. Can anyone over age 50 actually read what is written on the tabs?? Is there any way to register a complaint about this at Apple so that someone might actually read it? This is especially frustrating coming from Windows and a set of apps where fonts are much better dealt with at the system level.And the Universal Access options are very poor substitutes for well designed system level font options, and reducing the resolution on my $1000 monitor to really low is stupid, and zoom with the track pad or Cmd+ doesn't zoom the menu bar, and specifying minimum font size doesn't effect the menu and tabs, etc.Â

I edited a screen recording video (shot with QuickTime) with iMovie. Added chapters but when EXPORT - USE QUICKTIME and set properites to HD format, once done (5 hours) chapters are not available in Quicktime. I read that when exporting to tiny video format, chapters are not available but here I' exportin to an HD format.
