Is there any way I can use my Motorola HT820 headphones with my PowerBook G4 17" ? When i try to pair it, it tells me "The device set up process was interrupted" or "Failed to set up the headset. headsets are not supported on your Bluetooth hardware."

I also used to be able to pair my phone, and no longer can. The mouse still works with other computers (friends MBP).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 12" PowerBook G4 (the very last revision in 2006) and I've never had issues with the bluetooth before (although I've only ever used it to move a few pictures from my phone to my laptop occasionally). This week, I bought a wireless mighty mouse and connected it no problem. Yesterday was the first day I used it and it worked like a champ all day. Today, I was using it and in the middle of moving it around, it just stopped responding. My trackpad still works fine, but the cursor stops moving with the mouse, the clicker doesn't work, etc. When I turn the mouse off for a minute and then turn it back on, it works for a few minutes and then quits again. The first thing I tried was to swap batteries, but that didn't help. Neither did a restart.

But it is a different message than when my bluetooth on phone is off. I have a HTC Touch Pro, Alltel (CDMA). The reason I use bluetooth is because I don't know how to use USB tethering (which would be nice as bt makes my phone quite hot). Anyways, If anyone can help with either problem, it will be GREATLY appreciated. I am currently posting this on my phone, as I have a 10hr car ride and no comp.

I am trying to play music from itunes on my macbook (aluminium model) through my BT head unit in my car.
The way I understand it is that both the macbook and head unit have to be a2dp compatible? which the macbook didnt include as part of the Leopard build.
Im pretty certain the head unit is compatible as i can play music from my blackberry both from the music player and through the internet (youtube streaming).
I have the Pioneer deh-6100bt.
The head unit can 'see' the macbook but when I press connect, all I get is error.
The macbook does not find the head unit at the moment.
Is there something I can download for the macbook to make it work, is there something in the settings that will fix it?
I recently got a docking station for my 2008 13in macbook. When I dock it, the headphones jack automatically connects to my speakers. The problem is that I often use my Stereo bluetooth headphones for editing music so not to disturb others with repetitive playing. But for some reason, it won't allow a connection to my headset while something is plugged into the headphones jack. If I go to sound preferences and select the headset in the 'output' tab and go to play music, iTunes just freezes up and requires a force quit. Any ideas what might be causing the conflict? When nothing is connected to the headphones jack, the bluetooth headset connects without problems.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA couple of years ago when I got a tv for my room, my dad built a rack of shelves into the wall, one for my tv, one for my stereo and one for random stuff. It's always been nice, but restricting. I like to move my room around, and My desk is forced to stay right next to that rack to transmit audio to my receiver via a hard wire. Seeing as my iMac has bluetooth built in, I was wondering if it is at all possible to send stereo high quality audio over bluetooth to some sort of receiver that would feed into two RCA plugs... Now, I'm not talking audiophile quality, this is just a $400 sony rig, no crown audio here, but I dont want it to sound like those old 900mhz wireless headphones with all the interference. Is this at all possible? Or am I doomed to either staying put, or running 5' of cable under my carpet?

My MacBook will not connect to my iPhone 5, nor will it connect to the bluetooth headphones I just purchased (Sony MDR-XB950BT). When I try to pair the devices to my MacBook, nothing comes up in the field of recognized devices, except for other laptops around me. Sometimes, my iPhone will show up quickly but then it will say the pair was unsuccessful. My headphones have never appeared on the devices list. However, I can connect my headphones to my iPhone perfectly fine.

I was trying to figure out how to get my Motorola S805 bluetooth headphones to work in Windows 7, and the difficult part was that Windows 7 doesn't include the necessary A2DP bluetooth profile in the stock bluetooth stack. You're supposed to get it from your bluetooth adapter vendor, which apple doesn't seem to include in the Bootcamp drivers.The solution was to install the Broadcom/Widcomm bluetooth driver version 6.3.0.3800. I found a number of websites with this driver, but I wasn't sure if they were reputable or not. I eventually found the driver I needed from Gateway, which I was willing to try

View 6 Replies View RelatedOver the past few weeks, I've noticed problems with my PowerBook's headphone jack. The headphone plugs don't stay seated in the jack, resulting in loss of audio in either one ear or both until I adjust the plug, at which point it will almost always happen again. I usually end up having to hold the plug in place to get consistent sound from both ears.
At first, I thought it was just my headphones, so I borrowed a couple pairs from friends and ordered a backup pair from Amazon, all with the same results. I've peeked inside the jack once or twice and everything looks fine...but what do I know? I'll be in downtown Chicago tomorrow and Thursday, so I plan on making a trip to the Apple Store, but is there anything else I should try beforehand? As I recall, the PB headphone jack is part of the logic board, correct?

I've run this puppy pretty hard for a couple of years now, and it's lately started to lag a bit - perfectly natural. I was considering buying a new notebook but I've decided to wait until after Leopard comes. So my question is:
1) How do I determine the max RAM I can put in this machine?
2) Are there are specific specs I need to be concerned with when swapping out the Hard Drive? Any type, size limitations, speed limitations, etc.
I'd love a little input as to how I find out this info. I think instead of taking the notebook plunge now, I'm going to put a nice new hard drive in this one and possibly bump up the RAM a little more if it will take it.
So is the is Powerbook G4 802.11g or b? it is the 1.25GHz model. Also, one thing I don't understand regarding the airport extreme or any airport for that matter: isn't the maximum speed going to be completely determined by how much the cable provider, Comcast, pumps out?
If this is the case, how do I determine what my transfers and speeds are looking like specifically for Comcast? And, how would an airport extreme improve upon this or any other performance aspect in this regard?
Powerbook G4 (Ti-book) 667 mhz, 512 mb RAM. I finally after YEARS upgraded my OS (10.4.10), yay me! Just bought Adobe CS3 (for the new IMAC we have yet to buy), but I would like to install it on my Powerbook. SO, it it time to bump up to 1GB RAM. I was told it was tricky, and I should take it in to the apple store to install, but then I took a look under the keyboard, and it looks pretty simple. i have installed new RAM on a G5 tower, and this looks way easier. So, I am planning on buying the RAM either online or at FRY's, then installing it. BUT, I know I have to be careful of what type of RAM to buy. I found what I think will be good at [URL] but I will have to buy 2 (512's) as mine currently has 2 (256). I guess I just want to make sure I am not going about this the wrong way before I drop about $200 for RAM upgrade...

I just bought a used 12" powerbook G4 1.5ghz and I want to add some ram to max it at 1.25Gb. Did anyone try to use ddr400 instead of ddr333 on powerbooks? In theory it will run at 333 like in any pc, but is this flawless in powerbooks? Because ddr333 is expensive nowadays.

I have a friend who wants to buy my old G4 Powerbook with 60GB capacity, 512 MB memory, 1.33 GHz cpu speed.
