I followed all the instructions in the previous threads and unstalled my older version on flash. Then installed PPC Mac Flash version 10.1.102.64 and it says installation complete but when I go to test it nothing works. I tried restarting and uninstalling and starting over. I keep getting installation complete but still no go. I checked all my soft updates and everything looks good.
View 5 RepliesAfter 1.5 years of use, my hard drive suddenly failed. This was later confirmed by Apple Genius Bar. So I purchase a new SSD from OWC which was instructed to be compatible with my laptop model (MBP 13" early 2011). It arrived today and I did the installation carefully and successfully. However, after putting the back panel back in place I was unable to power up my laptop.
It was as if the power button is not working. Then I opened up the back panel one more time to realise that every time I click the power button (turn on), the fan started running, this can only be stopped by pressing the power button and held it (turn off). I tried placing my old hard drive and it doesn't work as well. I tried reset the SMC by holding power-shift-option but same result.

So I installed the latest update to Flash hoping it would help with my periodic spinning beach balls when using Safari (plus, Firefox told me I needed to update my Flash). So, I don't see anything in my Applications folder. Where is it and how would I uninstall it if I wanted to?

Curious though, this doesn't occur on my other laptop so I know it's not bandwidth issues. I am watching office at full screen, half way into it the video starts to stutter bad. I don't mind the cpu fans going full speed, or the heat, because that's the nature, however I can't stand the stuttering. Has anyone had experience in Revision 1 and watching hulu and getting it not to stutter half way into the episode?By the way nothing else is opened and/or running. Just safari. I also installed Flash 10 and updated the MBA completely with 3.2 safari

I have download the lastest flash version for my operating system but still can't play videos. I still get the same message - flash is not installed. If I check system preferences, flash is listed as installed. If I check for plug- ins in Safari I do not see flash. What do I need to do?

For some reason that I can�t explain I am unable to watch any youTube videos on my iMac. I have "click to Flash" installed and can watch flash content on all other sites. When I login to my account at youTube I also need to click to flash but then I get instead of the video, a "go Upgrade". I took this to mean that the flash player needed upgrading so I agreed to download the latest Flash Player and installed it. This has made no difference. I even went so far as to create a new YouTube account with a different e-mail address but nothing helps. Can anyone please give me some advice what I can do or try to get to watch the YouTube videos?
This problem is only when I use Safari. Using Firefox I can watch youTube.

After working just fine I am having 2 problems.
1. I keep getting prompted to date and install Adobe flash player - my Mac says already installed.
2. Answering emails to some friends is impossible - message says cannot connect to server......
About a week ago, we accidentally installed what we think is a bad version of a flash player when attempting to register a rewards card. We un-installed the software as soon as we realized it was not the correct website for the rewards card. Since then, we are getting a flashing pop-up ad in the right column of the browser as well as a video window that pops-up from left bottom of browser and then multiple windows in Safari will just open.

I installed a new hard drive on my G5. Trying to boot up from my leopard install CD. I get a blue screen with two arrows and the install cd icon. Plus the "clock" going around. It's been doing that for 30 min. What is that? Just when I was starting to feel confident in my HD installing capabilities.

I have been using my G4 MDD - 1.gHz DP with 4 160 GB HD. I recently upgraded one of my HD to a 200 GB. but my G4 only gives me 186 GB to use. I know when formatting you usually loose a couple of MB but 186 GB from 200 GB?

Google Earth plugin in Safari started to keep crashing after I installed Adobe Flash Player 11.2. The plugin works fine in other browsers (Firefox, Opera, and Google Chrome).The same occurs at home,too.I use Mac Pro at work and iMac at home. Both are on OSX10.7.3, Lion.

after having installed Leopard, my Mac doesn't go to sleep anymore. When I activate the sleep mode, it begins to "shut down" and the fans begin to blow. Normally, shortly afterwards it would sleep, but now the fans blow and blow and blow and nothing more happens. Using the mouse wakes the Mac again.
I just picked up my iMac g5 20" (2.0 GHz PPC) from the Apple Store for having the power supply replaced. Now I've lost all traces of the built-in Airport Extreme Card: When I click on the now hollow diamond-shaped Airport icon, I get a grayed-out prompt stating "No Airport card installed". Any record of an Airport Card under System Profile comes up with "No information found". My Airport Express does not show up in Network settings either.
Airport Express works fine in my Macbook Pro, so I know it's not something wrong with my Airport Express. I tried installing the "Login & Keychain Update", but can't: "You cannot install Login & Keychain Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update". Ran Disk Utility and came up with errors and unable to repair disk. The iMac was fine going in - except, of course, for the random shut-downs from a failing power supply.
Well I install windows in bootcamp, everything was fine till I put in my Mac OSX disk in to install the drivers into windows. After the installing was done, it restarted and nothing works, the mouse and keyboard doesn't work its just stuck as soon as it turns on. I tried restore the partition and reinstalling windows but it still does the same thing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an aluminum numeric keyboard. and when I plugged in two scandisk Cruzer usbdrives it said that one of them wasn't getting enough power. So I read online and saw that some people said windows can provide enough power for both. So I turn on my virtual windows machine (which automatically mounted the usb drive that was connected) and then my mac was able to mount the second usb drive! But when I let windows try to host both drives in the keyboard windows said it couldn't power both devices either! this may just be because it was a vm.
But my point is at one time I had access to both drives in my keyboard(with one os for each one) but when using just a single one it wont work. Is there any way to change a setting so I can push out more power to my usb keyboard? I'm perfectly fine with terminal and editing files, but is there a setting to change anywhere?(it's only getting 300mA and the usb drives need 200 each and the keyboard itself needs 20 so that all fits in the 500mA range).
I have a PowerMac G5 computer, running OSX Version 10.4.11. Up until yesterday, the computer performed flawlessly. Suddenly, yesterday, I get a message from Firefox (the browser I usually use), telling me that my Flash Player had been disabled because I did not have the most up-to-date version of Adobe Flash Player. When I investigated, I found out that the newest version was NOT compatible with my computer. So I tried reinstalling the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player that IS compatible and have had no success. When I go in to System Preferences and click on the Adobe Flash Player pane (under other), I get a message reading "could not load Adobe Flash Player." Someone out there must know how to handle this. I'm not in a position to purchase a new computer, and I desperately need Flash Player for some of the websites I use quite often.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis started happening before today's update to 10.4.11. I was running Safari 2.0.4 and am still having the same problem with 3.0.4. No flash will work in Safari, it was working fine and then just stopped for no apparent reason. Flash based websites won't load, YouTube video won't load, basically nothing that involves flash will work in Safari. Firefox works perfectly fine. I've tried uninstalling flash with Adobe's uninstaller and reinstalling it and then repairing permissions. I've tried deleting the plugins myself and reinstalling, that didn't work either. I have no idea what's going on, things worked fine and all of the sudden it won't work at all.

With my old mbp(leopard) everything flash related was working perfectly fine.
The new mbp, Flash works with every other browsers such as Safari and Opera.
However, when using Firefox to watch videos or browse websites, Flash thinks my left mouse click is my right click. So whenever I try to pause a video or play it, flash opens up "About Flash Player 10"
