Since installing lion (I started with 10.7.2) file manager is not working. Yes, I can force uit it and than it does but it is still very annoying and time consumin to do it 2-4 times a day. I was hoping that 10.7.3 will solv it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI can't find anything else on here about this, but I've tried several external keyboards with my new MacBook Pro (including the latest Apple) and Command+Delete doesn't work with any of them. It works fine using the notebook keyboard. I've reset the key combos to default several times. Nothing. Other key combinations that I use all work. And the command key and delete key each work for other things.

It working fine for 5 months then our internet went down and now it no longer works. This is how I have it set up. on the g5 I have file sharing turned on and the folder I would like to share set to share. Then I made logins for for the computer I want to share the folder with. The on the IMac I would go to connect to server and the g5 would show up then it would ask me to login so I did. Everthing worked fine but now when I try to login it just gives me the spinning wheel but never logs in why is it doing this? I have restarted both computers and I have deleted my login and re added it. But still the same thing.

When I tried to update my 10.7.3 iMac using the BIG combo updater (MacOSXUpdCombo10.7.4 1.5GB) installer tells me I need 10.7 installed. This has never happened to me with a combo updater. I am going to try with the smaller (600Mb) delta updater.

I installed 10.7.3 (combo) from 10.7.2 yesterday on my Mac Mini and everything was smooth-ish, a bit of slowness here and there.
Today my Mac crashed completely, I couldn't Force Quit the app I was in, nothing. So I held down the power button and did a restart. After I did this, all I got was the grey apple with the spinning wheel for ages and ages, and then got a Kernel Panic screen.
I did what it said and restarted again. This time it just repeated and repeated the startup tone, and then going to kernel panic again.
I have tried everything I know of. P-RAM reset, Safe Boot, but nothing works.

I installed the 10.7.3 Combo Update yesterday on my iMac (Early 2009) that has a Wacom Cintiq 21UX connected. Prior to updating, my system was working absolutely fine, and I could turn the Cintiq's power on/off at anytime without concern. Now, my system is consistently crashing when I turn the Cintiq's power off/on. A pop-up window appears that reads: "You must restart your computer."Again, this was not an issue prior to the 10.7.3 Combo Update.If I wake my iMac from sleep mode, with the Cintiq turned off, my system will immediately crash when I turn the Cintiq's power on.Similarly, if I cold boot my system with the Cintiq off, and turn it on at anytime after the Mac login screen appears, my system will immediately crash.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm just setting up a new Mac Mini (5,3) Server but I can't find 'Workgroup Manager' installed, only the 'Server' app. Is this the difference between the Mac Mini and a 'real' server?
The server app seems to do most things but I want to create all the user accounts with a pre set password but force each user to create their own password on first login, I can't seem to find this option in the 'Server' app. I can do this in Workgroup Manager on my old 10.4 server that's being replaced.

I have a problem with Network Users defined on my Lion Server accessing the server through VPN or Profile Manager (via Safari) ... I keep on getting authentication errors. Is this because they are network users or am I missing something else?
This works: when I logon to my Lion Server with either local or network users everything seems to be OK including home directory synchronisation.
I tried the following for VPN:my local server account can logon to the server (ie my secret key, user account/password combination are OK ("chap peer authentication succeeded for ...")when I try the same with two of my network accounts I keep on getting authentication errors (VPN) but I'm sure I use the same userid/password combinations as above ("chap peer authentication failed for ...")

I have a Mac Mini running Lion Server. We are going to use it for software update, profile manage , vpn, ect. When I'm not on the LAN I can load the [url]... however when I'm on our LAN I'm unable to load this site. I can start load the site from the LAN by putting,[url]..., but the page then redirects to [url]...auth?redirect=[url]... and will not load because of the domain name. This problem is also causing me to not be able to push profiles to machines while they are conected to the LAN.
My goal is to be able to load the site from anywhere as [url]...

Is the isue the wireless keyboard? The Firewire connected drive?I was able to go to System Preferences and choose my startup volume but I much prefer the more temporary state pressing option key when rebooting to choose which volume for startup

I have an OSX Lion 10.7.4 Server set up with Profile Manager and it is joined to AD.
I am able to see AD groups in the Profile Manager groups section. I can also see and add AD users and groups using the server app.
I have enabled the "Can Enable Remote Management" check box for Domain Users through Profile Manager. I have also added Domain Admins to the Workgroup group in the Server app. I'm not sure that I want or need either of these options, but they were suggestions to try. I am not able to log on to the Profile Manager or My Devices pages with AD logins.
I found these directions about nested groups in Workgroup Manager [URL] but I don't have a [URL] local group or any groups like are shown in the picture.

I know with previous installations of Filemaker Server I have been asked whether I wanted to keep the system version of PHP or install PHP which comes with Filemaker Server, but I don't recall being prompted about it on this occasion.
