Mar 29, 2010I just got started in printing coupons from the internet. I had to download a coupon printer for them to print. The problem I've had is that they all print in color and I need them to print in draft mode, black and white. I haven't been able to change that in Safari, even though I changed my prining preferences there. Does anyone have experience doing this that can tell me how to correct it?

Jun 16, 2012I have an iMac 27" (intel 3.4 GHz, Intel core i7, and 16 GB memroy) purchased a few months ago. It is running the latest version of Lion 10.7.4 I run this computer on our network along with a iMac 24" 3.5years old and a Macbook Pro 2.5year old.Â
This computer seems to have a beef with the Hewlett-Packard printer (HP colour laser jet CM1312nfi MFP) which I have had for about 3 years. I can not get the new computer to work with the printer properly. It allows printing but it pauses all the time when you resume the print it starts printing from the begining of the document againIt will pause any prints sent to it across the network after the first 1 or 2 pages are printedIt won't allow scanning at allWhen you launch the scanner it takes forever to connect (3 - 4 mins)If you try to scan using any of the scan options (if it loads the devise) it then states it can not connect to the device, or all the scan buttons apear but greyed out.This is odd as it will still allow printing??Â
Also, all the other PC's have the same version of Lion 10.7.4 and have the latest HP Driver installed (these were released on the 14 Dec 2011). Other useful infoThe scanner is hard wired to the 27" machineYou can only use the printer if one scanner is hard wired as it does not have wirless capacity.I have uninstalled and installed the software more times than i can count trying all different trouble shooting etcI can only conclued that there is somthing the 27" machine is doing to prevent the scnanner registering properlyNone of the other computers can use the scanner correctly either. As you can only scan a page at a time using the "Scan" button. If I wish to scan multiple pages on with either of the other computers I need to use the "scan to folder" button.Â

Reimported the data with wikiadmin migrate -r Backup/ Collaboration -g wiki or wikiadmin migrate -r Backup/ Collaboration.On the server page I see the imported wikis, but some of the site get back an error: Routing Error No route matches "/wiki/4c548/site.html"Also none od the attachments are working The link is showing up as: url.....When hovering the file it show's the right filename...How can i clear the SQL database just for that wiki an reimport the data?

A few months ago I noticed that Flash would not load videos on some websites (youtube works fine, but others sometimes show just a circle spinning). Normally I'd simply go to Firefox from Safari if I really wanted to watch a video. I did realize that the file that tends to not load usually encounters an error with the xml file. It usually says it could not find the host server by that name, but this happens accross multiple websites.Â
Now even Firefox has stopped working. I've tried unisntalling and re-installing flash, including older versions to no avail. I also attempted to clear the cache, delete flash folders in the library folder, etc. None of this has worked.The only other solution I've yet to try is that with the Lion update, you have to update your graphics card driver. I went to the nvidia website however, and for my graphics card they do not have a driver out yet.Â

Mar 10, 2012I could not use the type tool to create 'live' text on a layer. With the type tool selected I get the following error message when clicking to begin typing: "Could not complete your request because of a programme error." I quit Photoshop then attempted to launch the application by opening the file. The application opened but the file wouldn't, giving the same error message. I quite Photoshop again and relaunched the application from the Dock. The applicatiuion opens fine but displays the same error message (before I have attempted to open a file). With a file open I checked the type palette, where the dafault typeface is shown as Myriad Pro, but the default settings are: Type size: 1ptLinefeed (leading): 1ptKerning: 1Tracking 1Type height: 0% [code] Some odd settings there. The type tool bar (at the top of my display) has blank fields. Typing desired values into any of these fields doesn’t resolver the issue.I have tried restarting, creating a new file but to no avail.

Jun 21, 2012I bought an oldish MacBook 13' Unibody (late 2008) and when I got it one of the first things I did was to install Mac OSX Lion.Â
Everything was working fine, until I applied an update that made the trackpad stop working (it only accepts clicks, no touch is recognized).Â
This is the "Trackpad Firmware Update" from the automatic updates.Â
When starting this firmware update it appears a window with a status message, cancel and Update buttons. After clicking the update button, it starts installing, appears to complete, status changes to "Finishing...", and Update button comes back active at some point. Â
After that I have tried (unsuccessfully):downloading and installing the update directly from Apple Support [URL] thing, but using the 'root' accountleaving the computer on overnight to see if actually "finished" the processReset PRAM PVRAM - [URL] - [URL] palm pressing over 30 seconds on the trackpad (read this on another thread...?)Â Â

Apr 1, 2012I was having problems printing from my Canon LBP6000. Print jobs remained held in the queue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mac CAPT Ve r340 driver from Canon's website, no improvement. The printer works fine with my Windows laptop. I found an option to remove all printers from the Print preferences section. I can't remember how I did this, but all printers were removed. I reinstalled the above driver, but now in the 'print & scan' - 'add printer' section, I have no printer options. And no idea how to get printer options.

Mar 30, 2012I am trying to set up a HP PSC 2355 that is on the network shared from a pc. There are two macbooks that will be using it. They are both running 10.5 software and don't have snow leopard on them. The one set up and works fine, but the other I can't seem to get a good driver for when setting up the printer. The download from HPs site doesn't just have the driver, it's an entire package that you have to install. I found info on Apples site about a printer update :Mac OS X 10.5.3: Printer drivers included in the HP Printer Driver Update v1.1.1
which shows my printer as one of the ones that would be updated, but I can't find the link to download the update.Â

Jul 13, 2010My situation: a small network through ethernet with three macs and one printer HP laserjet5000N.
On my new imac (OS 10.6.4) I want to add the printer, but when this window opens, i am not getting any options (standard, IP, etc.) so i cannot choose anything.
It works fine on the G5 and the G4 (OS 10.5) which are also in the network.
Not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Dec 5, 2014I have a Canon LBP6000 laser printer. I downloaded the Yosemite driver from Canon after updating to Yosemite, and the printer worked up until a few days ago. Now, I can't print. The printer status monitor says "printing" with a status bar, but nothing happens.
I have tried remedies such as deleting all printer drivers, deleting the printer, resetting the printer system, restarting the computer, reinstalling the printer, resetting PRAM, updating to 10.10.1. Nothing has worked so far. It was working fine a few days ago!Â

OS X Yosemite :: Shared Printer Not Working?
Nov 30, 2014I have set up the shared printer on my iMac in my room. I am trying to print from my husbands iMac in the living room. It is acting like it is going to print but when I try to print the printer queue comes up and it pauses the print job. When I select resume it says "Printing- 1.6.2 is ready to print." then it pauses again.
I tried setting the printer up multiple times from the living room and when I do it says the address is "valid and complete host name or address" then when I'm done and click "Add" it tells me "Unable to verify the printer on your network." "Unable to connect to 'Mycomputer-name-example.local’ due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?" cancel or continue.
Also I installed the printer software on both computers so that shouldn't be the issue.

Aug 13, 2009I have my Canon iP4200 printer hooked up to my iMac and have been using it for years with out any problems until today. When i try to print something nothing happens. In the Printer queue application thing in the dock, it shows the document in queue and its status is "printing". On top of the window it shows this message: 'GenericClass: waiting for device' whatever that means i assume thats the issue but have no clue what it means. I have so many things to print for uni and need to get this working again, how do i get it back to working order again??
