I recently had to reset the region on my DVD to watch a film I bought from Amazon. When I changed to region 1 I was warned I could only change the setting one more time after that. Later I attempted to change the setting back to Region 2 as all my other films are on this region. The warning came up again "this is the last time you can change this setting". That was fine because I had no intention of changing it back to region 1. But as I tried to change the setting it gave me an error message 'error: -70001' What does this mean? I still have one chance to change my settings back according to the system as agreed but it wont let me. What can I do? I havent used up all my chances and yet I now cant watch any of my DVD's.

I have an issue I have been seeing since upgrading to Lion (10.7.3) and the latest version of Safari (5.1.3, I believe?). When browsing the web for a while (particularly, Flash heavy sites, I have noticed my computer's temperature getting hot and more beach balling starting to occur. The first time this happened, I opened Activity Monitor and noticed that Flash Player was using, almost, 900 MB of RAM (and I had less than 100 MB available). Other than Safari, I only had a couple of other applications open, neither of which were memory intensive. Quitting Safari gave me back a huge amount of memory, my temperatures, quickly, dropped back down to reasonable levels, and the performance lag went away. I never saw this kind of memory hogging under Snow Leopard. Is Flash Player this much of a nuisance under, either, Firefox or Chrome?Â

Lion 10.7.3 on a new mac mini. I learned about the Flashback trojan virus, I disabled Java in Safari preferences as per tech articles, I have all the updates including the Flashback removal tool. I go to NPR.org to listen to some audio podcasts as well as other news articles and I get a notice "You need to install Adobe Flash Player v.8 to view item." My understanding is Java is needed for me to use Adobe Flash Player using Safari on my new mac mini Will I ever be able to view these numerous sites requiring Adobe Flash safely with my new Apple computer?

I have not been able to use shockwave flash or flash player on the up load. I know there are some issues using Fire Fox with OSX 3.9. When ever I tried to access my yahoo mail from Fire fox, the system would crash.
Other than getting a new laptop, any suggestions? I tried to down load Shock wave from the old apps web site called Camino. I get an error message that the plug in cannot be loaded sussfully I have tried load flash Player 7.09, but get a message that it can not load. Could this be because of not enough space on the drive.
