From the response I received in the Pages forum, this appears to be a Lion-related question.Since I upgraded to Lion, I noticed that whenever I open a specific Pages document other recently-opened Pages documents will also open. Is there a way to prevent this? I was unable to find anything in Pages preferences.

I purchased Pages off the Apple site back in March. I am working on a project that involves several images. I tired to back up to a usb and when I did the usb said no image files. Pages froze and would not let me continue to work on it. I have deleted all big images off my computer. I can't back up to google docs as it freezes. everything is causing my computer to freeze. Safari wont open any pages such as youtube, facebook etc saying that it cannot establish a secure server. This just happened about 3 hours ago just as my mac went to sleep. The only new thing I did was use an HDMI cable to connect to my TV. The mac had been shutdown for low battery because i fell asleep on movie. Anyways, I woke up plugged in my charger only to find that i can't connect to certain sites... Further compounding my problem is a taskbar that says "The certificate for this website is invalid. You might be connecting to a website that is pretending to be <url here>.

How to stop pages opening in Full Screen Mode?This occurs on most software and is very annoying when you have a large monitor with one small picture taking up the whole screen.PLUS trying to reduce the size of the screen means the cursor has to find a tiny one pixel area in the corner in order to reduce the screen size. This takes up a lot of time when working on several images.(enlarging the cursor size is not an answer and makes it worse because it's hard to exactly align the cursor with the text or else it edits the wrong line of text).

Whenever I launch Pages, the application opens pretty much all the documents I've worked on. I take care to close all the windows, hoping that they won't launch again next time I start the application, yet they do. I can't find a setting in the preferences or Settings to disable this behavior.

There are a couple of websites I want to restrict my younger children from. I tried to enter them in the parental controls in System Preferences using the "Try to limit access to adult websties automatically" option, and entering the sites I wanted to restrict them from. What I got was kids asking me every five seconds to approve another website - it seems that only sites on the approved list under Customize were allowed. That isn't what I wanted. I wanted only to enter two or three sites that they are specifically precluded from.

I am running OSX 10.8.5 and would like to set up an administrator account with restricted rights. For example I would want to allow the account to administer user accounts but would not want to allow it to install software. Is this possible in OSX?

When I try to save, I get the dialog box: "The document “Untitled 2” could not be saved as “Untitled 2”. I've had my iMac, 10.5.8 version, for over 2 years with no issues till now. Last week one of my Pages documents was missing and today another pages document. I searched using Spotlight and Finder but could not find them. The trash did not have them. Unfortunately I had not backed them up for a couple months. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a number of Pages documents on iCloud, and all of a sudden, none of them can be opened from Pages (5.2.2) on my MacBook Pro. They all appear, but they either say "zero bytes" or there is just a gray line. If I select any document, the "Open" button remains gray. I CAN open all docs on my iPad, and I can also open them using the iCloud web interface. Meanwhlie, Calendar is syncing new events to all devices without problem, in all directions, so it can't be a problem with the account.

After the last Pages, Keynote and Numbers update my iCloud documents cannot be accessed anymore.There is no iCloud "storage" under open documents anymore.All my documents are still in the cloud (can access them on icloud.com) but they are not visible in the apps.
All files are however visible in my iOS-apps (Still iOS 7.1.2).Currently using OS 10.10 (14A329r) but not upgraded to iCloud Drive.

Recently, every time I open Adobe Reader, or click on a PDF document on file to open it, Reader starts opening all PDF documents on file continuously until I get a message saying there are too many open documents to open any more.
