My iMac constantly tried to open Mail when I wake it from sleep and I have to force quit, and it just randomly started a screensaver even though the screensaver is disabled in system preferences.

Can anyone answer this question? The nearest Apple shop is a four-six hour drive away. So, I can't go there. I have the 10.6 OS X

I had visited a website then was told that I might get a malware there. I haven't seen anything suspicious on my Mac. I didn't give my administrator password to any pop up dialog either. My OS is Snow Leopard. Here's the link to that website (please don't click on it if you think it might be dangerous) http://x-cafevn-db.info
How could I check if my Mac already got infected?
A second question: about Symantec Antivirus. I installed and removed this software long time ago when I was using Tiger. After upgrading (not clean install) to Snow Leopard, there are errors message pop up every time I start the system. This didn't happen with Tiger though. The message says: "Symantec Antivirus Error. Symantec AntiVirus Auto-Protec could not continue. Please run LiveUpdate or reinstall Symantec AntiVirus and restart. (Code: 10)". No file shows up when I search for Symantec in Finder. How could I get rid of those messages?

I have a white macbook and I have recently got these random messages when I load a web page. It will show me like a "warning" page, its has I think a black and white background with a message in the middle thats like "This site contains malware that could effect your computer" would you like to continue, etc. I got one for malware and one for "phishing." Ive never had these before, how can I know if my computer has been effected?

I had one of 15 of these laptops in the same room and it did not let the user login to a web-based grading site. The MacBook did log in for me at home but, there was a delay with a brief webpage saying something about so many seconds to redirect. (Could not read it all.) I never experienced a delay before using this web-based grading site.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone figured out how to remove the Malware warning from google? My website www.ianiswas.com has been affected by this, but only when using Safari. I have read a few posts, but they have not been super helpful. I called my host company, they see nothing wrong, I looked at the coding, of which I am not an expert, and found nothing wrong.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI don't know if anyone can help me with this, but for the past week or so, I've been getting weird popups when going to sites like nytimes.com, macrumors.com, cnet.com, google.com, and other perfectly safe sites that say something along the lines of "This site may harm your computer." And then when I click "Ignore" I get another popup that says are you sure, and I can't get out of the popup, and then I have to quit Safari.
I'm wondering if I have some kind of trojan or something like that. I'll get a screenshot next time it happens.
This is my first post, thanks in advance for any help. Hope I can explain correctly. I don't think my site [URL]actually ever had malware. I (not knowing better) placed a small *.exe file on my site via ftp just to transfer it from home to work. Anyway I think it caused me to get listed with google as having malware etc. (even though it was no type of dangerous file). I registered with googles webmaster tools, deleted it off my site and requested they re-scan it. Well that seams to have worked and all is fine except with Safari. I am still getting the malware notice with Safari only. I have cleared history, emptied the cache, deleted cookies and reset safari. Still getting the message. Sometimes I can open the site fine then click home and it pops up again. I really think my site is completely fine but I cant figure out why its still doing this with Safari. Needless to say this is terrible for business.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed this little program called auto-complete pro that is now on my computer on Safari. Anytime I search for something on the internet, the auto-complete bar that is normally there is covered up by a separate one by autocomplete pro. It is a known malware program, that I found in my research, but most people have asked how to get rid of it on Firefox or windows, now Safari. I am running OS X snow leopard, I believe. I have looked under extensions, there is nothing there.Â

I'm getting a page showing this warning when viewing a website in Safari. Doesn't happen in any other browser.
The site is owned by a business that I know to be legitimate.
