I've used the tools to verify that I indeed do not have the flashback virus. But I've read it comes from updating flash player I believe, I could be wrong, that's why I'm here. I'm not the most tech savvy, relatively new to macs, how do I know if it's safe to update flash player? I've read numerous people saying if you do so you're screwed, just wanted to make sure before I risk screwing up my mbp.

Just noticing the updated Flash Player on the new Snow Leopard update is taking about 660 MB of actual memory on my MBP.
Has anyone noticed and is this normal?

I was trying to watch videos on facebook but I was unable to due to the fact that it said that adobe flash player was out of date. I therefore uninstalled adobe flash player and tried to reinstall it from adobe's website. When I try to reinstall it, the icon bounces at the bottom of the page but does not open. Everytime I have done this, it says the "application not responding".

It is very common for Huffington Post to throw me out. Msg says "IGNORE, REPORT OR RELAUNCH". This is annoying, I have an IMAC-v 10.5.8. Could this be a Flash Player issue? I am getting pop-ups to install Adobe Flash Player 10.4-10.5 but when I click "install", msg says "not compatible with this computer".

I have upgraded from a OX 2.8 to 3.9. I now have to use two browsers to use the internet. Safari to have access to my yahoo mail account, and fire fox 2.020 to load information on my business website.
I have not been able to use shockwave flash or flash player on the up load. When I was using OSX 2.8 I could add pictures to my business website and etc., I had no problem viewing the slide show I had on my website, other than the system was a little slow. I have an ibook G3 128 +512 ram, total. 900 mhz, 12. inches and white case. The systems requirements indicate that I need to upgrade to tiger OSX 4.0
I know there are some issues using Fire Fox with OSX 3.9. When ever I tried to access my yahoo mail from Fire fox, the system would crash.
Other than getting a new laptop, any suggestions? I tried to down load Shock wave from the old apps web site called Camino. I get an error message that the plug in cannot be loaded sussfully I have tried load flash Player 7.09, but get a message that it can not load. Could this be because of not enough space on the drive. Maybe I am not loading it correctly. Shouldn't I be able to click it to install it in the right place without having to try the different files.

possible it install Windows using a USB Flash Drive configured to function as an Install Disk? Using the generally accepted method for converting a USB flash drive to act as an installation disc my 2010 iMac 27 will not recognize this drive using the boot drive 'option' key method. After formatting the drive as an MBR disk to act as in installer the iMac will not recognize it as a bootable drive. This works fine on other Intel based computers and my GUID USB Flash Drive OSX install image works just fine and is recognizable as a bootable drive.

I was doing a software update today and a box popped up which looked like it was from Apple saying I needed to update my Adobe Flash. I downloaded it. Afterwards, I started worrying about it and checked on the web and found out there is a virus going around posing as Adobe Flash. I am running Snow Leopard. How do I check to see if I have it and if so, what do I do?

Flash player has been severely crashing lately on my MBP 13".Every time i watch a video on youtube the video will get laggy and causes firefox to crash. When i watch it on chrome beta only the flash plugin will crash.
This started happening when i upgraded my hard drive to a 500 GB WD Scorpio Blue. I used copy cloner to clone my drive. Its very depressing to not be able to watch youtube video on a 1200+ dollar machine. Is there any solution or maybe some optimization i can do to the drive and stop the problem?

I cannot utilize my Flash Player anymore - you all know what a pain that is. I now keep getting notices that I have an "unsupported operating system." I have a Mac OS X 10.4.11 Power PC G5. Adobe, as you all know, no longer supports the system. I have tried everything to get my Flash Player back-up and running, with no progress. Including this and it didn't work for me: url....Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flash player 101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install.

After weeks of trying to download Flash player to Safari, I removed the program using AppZapper and downloaded a new Safari which behaved beautifully. What puzzles me is that when I opened this new Safari, it contained all my favorites and Bookmark bar bookmarks. Is there a ghost in the system or did AppZapper miss something?
