We have an HP Photosmart Premium C410.We using both Safari 5.1.2 and Firefox 10.0.We use a network connection from the printer to our MiniMac.We have been unable to get images (photo's) to print with the rest of the web page which is text (the text portion does print. This does not happen on all, but does happen on most web sites we go to.In order to get the image (or photo) to print, we have right click on it and copy it seperatly onto a WP blank. This is a big pain.We would like to be able to get the picture/image to copy/print with the rest of the web page.Would anyone know what might need to be addressed to get this to work properly.

I am selling my 2 year old iMac. It came installed with Leopard 10.5, and I have the original DVD's. I recently (about a month ago), upgraded it to Snow Leopard. I was looking at this site: [URL] To get some ideas on how I can completely reset the system, to almost a factory install. Would I have to follow the steps to a full system install of Leopard, and then install Snow Leopard upgrade? Or can I use the Snow Leopard disk, to directly install that version as the clean install? At the end of the process, I would love to leave the system as "new" as possible.

I tried Mroogle, but only suggestions I found was to drag stuff to Trash, which doesn't sound like what I'm trying to accomplish.

I would like to wipe my MacBook Core 2 Duo, currently running 10.5.8 I just recieved the Snow Leopard 10.6 disk, before I upgrade, I want to wipe this laptop completely as if it were new. Will this be an option during the install of 10.6 or do I have to go about it another way? Here is the catch, I recently moved, and misplaced the CD's the MacBook originally came with. So all I have is the computer and the Snow Leopard 10.6 cd.

When I turned on my MacBook today, the screen was very dark. The computer is fully functional, but it is very difficult to see anything. It almost appears like the screen is set to a negative filter, with light colors looking dark. I have tried to adjust brightness, colors, display setting etc. I'm assuming the problem is with the connection between the display and the rest of the computer.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Macbook has the infamous crack on the palm rest, I've made a reservation at a genius bar. Could anyone tell me what has happened with their macbook when going to get this sorted? Will they have to take it away and if so how will i get back? I've heard that sometimes people have got their macs back with blank drives, I'm guessing it would be best to make a back up. Its quite an inconvenience for me not to have my Macbook during the week, is there anyway they can do this in one day?

first post! I have been lurking around the forum for quite some time. I decided to pick up a macbook pro today because I was able to get a pretty good educational discount. I have the 15" MacBook Pro top end with the matte screen.
Everything seems perfect right now. However, even when the volume is at 50%, and I play something that has bass in it, the RIGHT palm rest shakes/vibrates a lot, and you can feel it. It is a tad bit annoying. I was wondering if this was normal.
Do the places were your hands rest during typing on the keyboard get wear down (does the Al get that shiny appearance)????????

Did a search through here but couldn't find anything concrete. What are the differences between a fresh Snow Leopard install and a factory Snow Leopard install? I ask because I bought an Intel SSD and don't know if I should bother cloning the hard drive that will come with my new 15" MBP or I should just install a fresh copy from a Snow Leopard install disc. I'm aware macs come with next to no junk pre-installed, but are there some factory settings that are worth preserving if they aren't documented well?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs the trackpad supposed to be completely leveled with the rest of the body? The reason I ask is because I have noticed that on some MBPs the trackpad is "pushed" down into the body a little. It is not much but it is definitely visible, there is an indentation. Is this normal or is it a manufacturing defect?

I am trying to find a palm rest like the one that Zagg has. I want to protect the full internal surface of the MBP 13 (palm rest and around the keyboard). Is it possible to find one of those without the other stuffs that are coming with it? I was also interested about the moshi palm rest but protect only the palm rest area.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently noticed on my Macbook (black rev. C 2.1ghz) that there is some slight flex where the palms rest to the left and right of the trackpad. This isn't a big deal, but what made me notice this was the fact that pressing down enough on the palm rests (either side) actually registers a click with the mouse.
I noticed when I was typing and some reason the words would get highlighted. After awhile I tried pressing down on the palm rest area and it would show a click on the screen. Anyone else have this issue? It's not happening all the time and there's not major flex but it happens.
It's not a big deal, but a bit annoying so far when I'm typing and it would either click somewhere else or highlight the word and delete what I'm typing. As of now I just lifted my wrists off the rest (which I should be doing anyway). If it matters I also have the MacAlly microfiber/felt laid over the palm rest. Makes me wish I had a unibody!
I recently acquired a MacBook Pro from Apple. Its the 15" Unibody model. Upon opening it, I found that the surface of the palm rest has a rough finish to it; kinda as though it didn't go through the final polishing stage or something when it was manufactured. This rough texture feels very uncomfortable to my hands when I type, in comparison to the normal "soft" feel and texture to it that I've experienced with other Unibodies. Has anyone else experienced this with their Macs? If it matters, I got mine from a California distribution center because I got an exchange. Wasn't sure if that had to do with anything, but the seal had been broken once (but resealed with another) for what I presume was to insert the Snow Leopard drop-in DVD. I was assured it wasn't by a manager from customer support, but the computer almost seemed as though it was a refurbished model.

I had selected a whole bunch of music from my iTunes to sync onto my iPhone using my USB cable. Now I've signed up for iTunes Match and none of that music is on my iPhone anymore except by streaming. How do I get those tunes and podcasts back on my iPhone so I can listen to them when streaming is not available (like downstairs in my gym where there's no signal) WHILE ALSO being able to access the other non-sync'd tunes if I want whenever I've got a good signal. I spent some time choosing which tunes to keep on my iPhone and which not to sync.

This is the 5th macbook pro I have gone through... ALL of the ones at best buy have had some sort of scratch out of the box. However, the one on this one is barley noticeable so I have been dealing with it. However, I just noticed that the very bottom of the trackpad, maybe as much as a quarter of an inch, is unresponsive when you start in that area, but seems to work if you start anywhere else in the trackpad and then go into that area. Anyone else have that issue? Anybody know a remedy? Apple seriously needs to up their quality, every MBP I have had so far has had something wrong with it and I have had this one for two weeks so there is no way they would buy that it came like that.
