Does anyone know how I can use Windows Live Mail on my Apple Mail application? I have tried following some guides but it seems to have gone wrong. I would like a simple step by step guide in how to do this please, as in what the incoming and outgoing servers will be etc etc?

I am trying to set Apple Mail as my default mail application, but invariably, when I try to send an email from another program, it opens Outlook instead.
How can I make Mail the default mail application for my entire system?
I get the following message when I'm in Safari and select "File>Mail Contents of This Page" or "Mail Link to This Page" even though I have Apples Mail programmed installed and use it all the time as my primary email client. I don't see any preferences in Safari where I have to make a selection for these menus options to work and they have worked in the past. They have just inexplicably stopped working.

I've having trouble getting the "webcam" option on "live messenger" on my MAC. There is no option for starting a conversation with a cam and when people request a cam conversation it suggests that i get "window live v7" I've already got this. Do I need a separate webcam instead of the built-in one i have on my laptop?

first of all, my isight is actually working and i am using BC1.4b and windows XP SP2.
the problem is the iSight on messenger is zoomed in very close but when i just open the isight in My Computer its normal. anyone knows why??
and it is also not possible adjust the zoom and other configurations for the camera.

I was able to get into hotmail earlier today. Later, when I tried to log in to hotmail later, it wouldn't work. With my main account, it doesn't do anything except just go back to the screen to enter my password. When I try my other account, it gets to a screen that says I don't have a windows live inbox (wtf). It doesn't appear isolated to my computer, as I tried my roommates computer, and his computer just kind did nothing but go to a blank screen when I enter my password.

I have been having problems with windows Live ever since I upgraded to OSX snow leopard.
I can sign in and then after 1 minute it signs itself out and says the connection has been lost.
I have tried re-installing it again and the same problem keeps happening

I have downloaded about 3 different instant messengers:
- Mercury Messenger
- aMSN
- Microsoft Messenger (newest version)
These all claim to have the ability of video chat and using the webcam, however, none so far have done so and every time I have tried it has failed or cancelled and can't connect.
I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong, I have gone through all the preferences and sorted everything that I think is right.
When I open apple mail it seems to load fine but now my trash icon for apple mail is gone. Is there any way to get this back?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an early 2011 MacBook Pro running OS Lion (10.7.3) and in the last two weeks I face the following problem with the Mail application and my Yahoo mail account: although the account appears in the side bar of the application and it will search for new messages when I launch the Mail app, it doesn't load any messages and I also realised that all Mailboxes of the named account are blank! The messages appear normally when I reach my account through the Yahoo page! I tried to remove and re-import the account in the Mail app, but it just worked for two days and now the Mailboxes are blank again! I have no problems with the other two mail accounts I reach through the same application (both POP accounts).

I'm having trouble with my Apple Mail program. I have a number of e-mail accounts (some with Optimum online, a g-mail, yahoo, etc.) Apple Mail has no problem at all reading and downloading any mail from any of the services. My problem is with Optimum Mail (Optonline.net). Mail refuses to send anything through that set-up. I've been on the phone for hours with Optimum and the settings are all correct. I've tried connecting directly to the cable modem and mail gets sent. This would make me believe that it is the Apple Airport Extreme router that is at fault. I've tried restarting it, re-initializing it and setting it up again and the problem continues. All my Optimum mail is picked up and can be read but it will not send anything through Optimum. It asks if I want to send it through another server (like g-mail or yahoo) and if I pick yes the mail sends.
It happens on all my computers a G-3 and pre Intel iMac G-5 on Tiger and my Macbook on Leopard.
Anyone else hear of this problem? Both Apple support and Optimum online say they have never heard of it. Talking for hours with their tech departments have found no solutions.
I use gmail and have 288 messages to upload, but it gets stuck at email 20. Have gone to gmail.com to delete # 20 email, but the application is still getting stuck. It's also duplicating messages on Mail application.

I am writing this letter to ask refund that I have paid for the Webster's New Dictionary and Thesaurus. Basically, when I have decided to buy this application, I expect a sound function whenever I have clicked the words, however it did not work. I mean it did not function as I expected! Totally, nonsense, please let me know how to refund it as soon as possible from APPLE.
I created a few icons with photoshop, and then used those icons for everyday dock applications (finder, ichat, safari, etc) Now I'm getting kinda tired of them. Is there a fast way to make them all normal again?
