MacBook Pro :: Copy Formulas Only From Previous Sheet To Create New Sheet
Apr 1, 2012I want to copy formulas only from a previous worksheet to create a new worksheet. I am using this to do monthly accounts for 2012. Everytime I cut and paste the formula, it links it to where I copied it fror. I am worrried about saving it as I do not want to make any changes to the previous months. The person who created the worksheet is not available to do this for me.

I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..

Jun 21, 2012At the beginning of last year I bought a 3.2GHz 27" iMac. About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.

MacBook Pro :: Bottom Half Of My Screen Go Black And Most Of The Top Half Flicker?
Jun 23, 2010I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.

Oct 31, 2008I started up iTunes, checked my email, and looked up to see the top half of my display drop about 15 shades darker than the bottom half! I called Apple Care who told me they had never heard of something like this before and advised me to call the nearest Apple Store. I did, and like Apple Care, they had never heard of this happening.

Aug 19, 2009I have a small network running from a Netgear Wireless Router. It's set to be the DHCP server. Then I have 2 MAC's connecting wirelessly to this router. Both set to receive IP's from Router. also, Windows XP SP3 Desktop, set with Static IP address and via LAN. On the Windows XP machine, I have a shared folder directly under C:. Shared name is BOAW. Connection to this server is perfect, but at times it will start dropping. Both MAC's will randomly get this message saying that it lost connection to the <<Specified Folder Name>>.
It doesn't loose connection at specific times or timeouts. It's will work good for a day or so, then will start dropping and the dropping seems so warm up and multiply. Only way to get this connection back, is to restart the Windows XP SP3 machine, which is the the PC with the shared folder. Sometimes it helps if you switch off / on on the Airports from the MAC's, but that stops working after a few goes. PC restart is the only way so far. Before, the Windows Xp SP3 PC, was running with wireless as well, and I first thought if I change over the LAN interface, it would help with a more stable / faster connection.

Besides, "Add new invitations to Calendar" has been set to "Never" all along.
How can I get rid of this invitation without sending a reply to the spammer?
I read is to move it to a local "on my mac" calendar first. I don't have any such calendar, and can't see a way to create one!

Feb 15, 2009I have encountered a problem when printing labels. On my PC it is possible to use all the labels on an A4 sheet, because you can select which labels are still available from a part used sheet. On the iMac it always wants to start from the top of the page even when there are no labels there. I find it very wasteful to throw away part used sheets of labels. Maybe I am missing some vital information, because I don't believe a mac can't do what a PC does, in all other aspects a Mac wins hands down. I would appreciate any solutions to this problem as I have only had the iMac eight months and still learning, and I would prefer not to have to use my PC if avoidable

Mar 13, 2012The standard Mac Print - Layout - Pages per Sheet drop down offers 1,2,4,6,9 & 16 pages per sheet. Why is there no 8 pages per sheet option? This seems a bizarre omission. In a world of ISO 'A' paper sizes, it is easy to scale any binary power number of sheets onto, say, A4 for printing. 1,2,4 and 16 are offered - what has Apple got against 8? Does anyone know if/how I might add 8 as an option?

Apr 6, 2010if you have more than one sheet in a Numbers document, is there a way to EXPORT just one sheet to Excel? There is no option to do that under the Export feature. The alternative is to copy the one sheet into a blank new numbers document then export.

I often do this to conserve paper when I'm printing lecture notes. With Leopard, I'm often doing this blind and get things out of order. Has anyone got this to work? Mar 21, 2012Ever since I upgraded to OS X Lion, I have noticed something different in the print dialogue. First the technical info: I am using a 2009 Mac Mini (4 GB RAM, OS 10.7.3) and I have a couple of printers that I use - one is a Brother laser printer (shared from an iMac, running 10.6.8) and a Canon Pixma Pro 9000, connected via USB to a Time Capsule.
When I hit Command-P to bring up the print sheet, I now get icons on the left hand side of some of the printer names in the printer list. One looks like a road sign - diamond shaped with a walking person in it, and the other is a circle with a wavy line (tilde?) in it. The other printer names have no icons next to them. I gather that the circle-and-tilde means "printer not available" (or something similar) - even though the printer is there!!! And then I wonder why the other printer names have no icons, and I have no clue what the "walking person" sign means.
