I was in the middle of recording voiceover for a project on FCPX 10.1.3, the recording was working fine, and then when I hit the red record button it wouldn't begin countdown nor will it record. I've trashed my FCPX preferences and rebooted, still having the same problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm planning on adding how to videos to my site (flash) so that its easier for my customer to understand how to use a page. Ie instead of trying to explain common things in a FAQ I would have a video actually showing them. Ideally I'll be able to record my actions on screen and my voice as I describe what I'm doing. I'm willing to pay for the app, but just not that much ie less than $100. Now I don't need an all in one, for instance if there is a free app to do screen recording and another free app that can record my voice and another to merge them together I'm fine with that. I understand that free is free and I have to deal with some of the headaches. Any advice as to what software I would need. A quick google for mac screen recording brings a bunch of results.

Tried a search but was tough to wade through the many threads - so forgive me if this is an oft-asked question:I record continuous DJ mixes straight from vinyl records -> mixer -> macbookpro running garageband. I do all of my mixes in one take and no post-processing or anything like that. So my technical production skills are lacking, to say the least. However, I can't stand the one and half hour long single track.
Is it possible to add track markers and track names within garageband - but do so in a way that no gaps are between songs - then export the whole thing as a file for download (or, rarely, burn to a CD)?This way, the listener can skip around to their favorite song, or listen to the whole thing with no gaps to ruin the "journey"
I'm not too sure about the correct terminology but I'd like to record what's being done on my screen with iMovie using CamTwist. Reason being that I want to record myself drawing something from start to finish.
Yes, I did launch CamTwist before iMovie, but it doesn't show up in the camera drop down.
Does anyone what to do? - or even a different application that can get the job done for me.
Lastly. I know there's a sound control option on PCs that allow you to transmit what sound is being played on your computer; for example: playing a song on your computer for someone to hear on Ventrilo.
Is there a free way to do this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedToday at office we were playing with a little remote helicopter, it was hilarious, in the meanwhile we where browsing on safari, but suddenly Safari stop responding, but hey NO BEACH BALL, and then we started hearing some sound, we thought it was from some flash video on some web page, but then we heard our voices, we were like WTF, and then we heard the helicopter, we were amazed, haha, now safari has new built-in func, "Safari 5 records sounds without telling you", of course we just force quit safari, but wait, it didn't quit, we went to terminal and kill the process..
I just wanted to let you know what just happen to us.
The title pretty much explains it.... Also if its not possible, does anyone know of some good freeware for chroma key/green screen(ing) Because I would like to use an image behind me instead of a video.
