I just merged three 9min clips together and for some reason when playing, the entire video has this crackling noise. Does anyone know how to get rid of it and NO, it is not the video itself.
View 2 RepliesI just got my 2.0ghz Alu Macbook a few days ago and everything works perfectly well, the thing is that after day one the magsafe started to emit a low pitched electrical whistling noise. It tends to be there a few minutes after booting into the OS and then it turns down to almost unhearable, but I experienced it returning after a few hours of use and then disappearing again. If I move close to the escape key I can hear a crackling noise emitting from the magsafe.I'm not trying to be overly nitpicky or anything but I read somewhere that if it's doing that it would be a faulty Mag-Safe board or something.
Does any one you guys know anything about this? I have the 14 days to return it as I bought it online from the Apple Store so if it's a faulty part that might die/break/ cause problems later I might have to.
There is a small crackling noise when I close my MBP lid. It seems like the joints are really dry and need oil almost. Is this normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Macbook Pro 15" [2 GHz Intel Core Duo, OS X 10.5.7, 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM] makes a loud crackling, chainsaw-like noise from the upper left part of the keyboard. I think it maybe the fan but I'm not sure. I've attached an audio clip of the noise:

My macbook pro just started making a crackling noise from the hard drive when waking up. What does this mean? It happens every time now, including when starting up the machine.

My mac book pro is making a strange crackling noise, coming from the right side, at first it was occasional now it's constant. It doesn't matter if the volumes on or off.

When the computer is sleeping or if I turn it off but the plug remains in the electrical socket, when I get very close to the machine I hear a slight crackling noise, as if the internal adaptor is making a slight noise. I don't hear it from any normal distance, and other than the buzzing phenomenon when brightness is below 50%, no other symptom. Is this normal for this model. I believe that the external adaptor for the 30" ACD made a louder but similar noise as well unless unpluged.

When the news page 'scroller' at the top types its news story out in a tika tape kinda way that is when the crackling noise happens .
does this make sense ? is my macbook faulty ? ..does it take soo much power to perform this function as to make my macbookCPU crackle ?
the noise is coming from approx the center of the notebook and is quiet(ish) but audible enough
anyone have any ideas ?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI currently own a JVC Everio GZ-MG130 hard disk camcorder. It records in .MOD files. I cannot view them in quicktime on my imac g3. I have tried opening them as is, and renaming them to .MPG and .MOV. I found that HandBrake will do the job, but I cannot find a PowerPC version for 10.4. 0.9.1 should work, but I cannot find the installer files. If anyone knows of any other way to convert them, tell me. I need to be able to open them in iMovie '04 to edit them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've searched these forums and tried a few converters but nothing seems to be good. I used to use visual hub which up until recently was okay. Untill i tried to convert the film office space which i have as a matroska file to an mp4 for my iPhone. The film wouldnt run well and was very laggy on the iPhone. I got handbrake and that works fine for converting the film and makes .mkv's run smooth on the iPhone when converted to mp4, the only problem is that the program crashes after a while usually after converting one film. to cut a long story short! can anyone suggest some more video converters i can try that will work well with snow leopard?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a video that is ".mov" and I cant use it in SonyVegas (Windows 7) cause it shows no Video (just audio) So I'm trying to convert it to other format that hopefully wont make it look like crap and that will work with SonyVegas . I try iSkysoft Video Converter and it works, but It loose too much quality , the original .mov is 2GB and the biggest better quality i can get with that app is like 400-500mb. I'm giving up, I've search youtube and google for hours in the last 3 days without any success of making the .mov to work on sonyvegas or converting it, that's why i decided maybe someone in here can help me, I'm still kinda like a noob on MAC OS X

My biggest concern is the conversion from .avi to mp4 and m4v for my ipod, iphone, and apple tv. I have been using Handbrake which is great, use the Apple TV preset which plays on all the devices listed I have. I know H264 is CPU intensive, so is Handbrake going to be the best and fastest anyway?
