I bought a MacBook in May and loaded maybe 50 songs in. Monday I returned it and exchanged it for the MacBook Pro, 13 inch. The Apple Store did the transferring of everything for me and all looked good, except today I tried to open iTunes and got the following message:The file 'Tunes Library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
So, will the problem be resolved if I connect the iPod Touch and they sync, or do I have a major problem? If I do have a problem, can it be fixed, and how?
So far everything else seems just fine. I would go back to the Apple Store but it is a 2 hour drive one way. If I can resolve this without a trip to the store I'd appreciate it. I do have Apple Care, which I can use if this is too complicated.
I have a late 2008 MBP 2.66, and I just started using my wireless router and was doing some simple web surfing/ email, when I noticed my full battery was only good for a little over 3 hrs! What the F!? I usually have it plugged in, this is the first time I have been using it (for a long period of time) wirelessly. It is a refurb which I bought in Oct. Any idea if I should have the battery replaced?
I'm at my wits end! My "9(" key works part time. (mostly NOT) There is absolutely no "rhyme or reason" to when it decides to work or not work! I have worked it, massaged it, banged on it, and even removed the key cap and blown it out with compressed air. No difference! Before I order a new keyboard ($84.95) and remove several dozen screws, I'm hoping someone has a "last ditch" technique to try. BTW: 17" MBPro/early 2008/2.6Mhz/OS10.5.6
I bought a new mac book pro whilst in the states two weeks ago, i have managed to transfer some info from my old mac book pro, but have been unable to transfer itunes, photo's and video's
I am a long time PC user, and my girlfriend has just recently bought me a Macbook Pro. . So being a Pc user my entire life, i, of course have iTunes on my PC. My question is there any way to transfer my itunes library to my new Macbook Pro? Or is my only choice to do it with a Flash Drive?
My daughter bought a new Macbook Pro. When she took her old Gateway computer in to the Apple store for them to transfer her files they told her they were not able to transfer her music files due to corrupt files on the old computer. All of her music she has purchased since about 2005 are on her ipod and phone. Some of the original music she purchased was through an AOL account which she has since discontinued and the rest of her music has been purchased under her mobileme/icloud account. Since purchasing the new laptop, she has not synced her ipod or iphone with the laptop, as we have been told that she will potentially lose all those songs which were purchased under the old AOL account, which is probably better than 50% of her songs. What is going to happen to her music if she snycs the ipod or iphone with this laptop?
I want to transfer my songs to from my iMac to my MacBook but I dont want to transfer every single file I have and the iMac doesnt have iCloud. So what can i do?
I have an old Mac Book with all my music on it, but will not sync with my iPhone 3GS or let any of my music transfer over. It only allows my music on my phone to transfer to the Library. How can I transfer the music on my MacBook to my iPhone?
I am using an iPad2: I used to sync all my contents to my iPad with my Windows Vista Laptop through iTunes till a couple of days back. Somehow, i managed to poof up my Windows Vista Laptop. I have replaced this Windows Laptop with a MacBook Air.
I now need to sync my iPad with my Mac air.
Coming to the contents.
I have loaded a substantial amount of content on my iPad: Music, Videos, Podcasts, Books (eBooks and PDFs), Apps and Photos.I have backups of my Music, Video and Photos on an external HDD (FAT32): so getting this material over to iTunes on Mac Air is no problem.Perhaps Apps would also get loaded on iTunes on Mac Air through iTune Store. My challange is how to get my Books (eBooks and PDFs) from my iPad to my Mac Air. The same challange stays for the Podcasts.
Info:MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Also involves iTunes

I bought a new macbook pro last week, but, I need to transfer my iTunes library (music, apps, podcast, photos, other) from my old macbook pro to my new macbook pro and the iPhone backup, off course
The problem is that when I transferred files over from my laptop and my desktop, the itunes library the new computer picked up was my old one on the desktop. So I need to change it. I was able to sync my iphone with the correct itunes, but would like to get it onto my new laptop. Any suggestions. I heard that I need to get rid of the library that is incorrect on the new computer. What is the best way to do that and then transfer the better one? Or is there another way!
i accidentally removed the original copy of all my songs from my mac and now i am not able to play any song on my itunes and it will be really hard to download all my songs all over again. My family shares a large iMac, i have my own personal account with my iTunes account on it. Most of my music that is on my iTunes is downloaded from my personal CDs, so when i sign in on iTunes on my newly bought MacBook Pro, it does not pick it up. I am trying to find a way to transfer my music on my personal iTunes on the family Mac to my new MacBook Pro.
Can I transfer with icloud to my ipad and then icloud transfer to mackbook air? I didn't by the songs in the playlist on the macbook, so they didn't transfer automatically and I have 1300 songs to transfer. It takes too long saving them to a bunch of cd's.
I just got a new Macbook and i'm trying to transfer music I already have on my iPhone 4 from the phone to the laptop... Shouldn't it already be in my purchased folder?
Recently purchased a MacBook Pro. Want to know how I can copy/transfer my iTunes library from my "old" laptop (not apple product) to my new MacBook Pro?
