View 1 RepliesI'm putting together a huge selection of reggae and island music for a luau and was wondering if, when I transfer the playlist to my iPod Touch, if it will keep the order of the songs or rearrange them to alphabetical. I'd like to keep the order I put it in, not alphabetical. Thoughts?

I figured no biggie, when I got away from the head office they'd go away. But they didn't. And I can't figure out how to get rid of them.See attached photo.

How do I move them to the TV Shows area of the iTunes Library. I am wanting to "clump" them into TV show playlists (i.e. all my Star Treks into "Star Trek")

I'm trying to burn a playlist to a CD-R (which I have done successfully before). Now I get an error "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The disc drive didn't respond properly and can't recover or retry." I'm running 10.6.8; iTunes 10.6.3

All of my playlist are missing and I am afraid to connect my ipod for fear that I may lose those as well.

I'm running OS X 10.9.2 and iTunes 11.2.2 and out of the blue, my iTunes Playlists are not displaying/ not visible in the left pane under "Playlists". It's as if I have no playlists anymore. If I attempt to create a new playlist, nothing new is visible (i.e. the Playlist pane still appears empty). However, all of my music is still viewable and playable. In fact, if I play a song, I may click on its arrow and add it to any of my 20 or so playlists. So they are all visible from the drop down menu on any song that's playing.
Just now, I attempted to restore an older "iTunes Music library" file (.itl) by trashing the current one and replacing it with one from my previous "iTunes Libraries" folder. I restarted iTunes (holding down the option key), selected the previous version library and still the Playlists will not display.
Without downloading the album, U2 songs appears on my playlist out of nowhere. However, when i connect my iphone to the laptop, the album doesn't show up in the itunes, so how could i delete/get rid if it??

I would like to make a playlist to include favorite songs from a single artist. For instance have a list for John Williams, and etc. Is this possible in iTunes?
View 5 Replies View RelatediTunes won't list my tracks chronologically once they get past 9. I have a lecture series that has 30 tracks in it and when I number them from 1-30 as soon as iTunes sees another 1, like at the beginning of all the numbers from 10-19, it puts them after the number 1, and then moves onto the number 2. It's a real drag and other than alphabetizing the first 9 numbers I'm at a loss of what to do. Is there somewhere in preferences I can have it recognize two-digit numbers properly?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make up a playlist of my top 100 most played songs I thought I had done it but when ever a new song is added and reaches a play count high enough to be added to the playlist it does not show up.

I searched for many forums and got no answer? Maybe it's impossible but I heard I find the best pro users right here So my problem is: I have my big CD's collection imported into iTunes /Apple loseless codec/ - now I have my music in my hand /apple remote/ My wife has the same on the same mac - collection not remote In IT we have 2 playlists /her and mine music/ We can search for songs, bands, CD name etc. However, problem starts with the Front Row There is no possibility to have the same option, just scroll down a playlist? If I have 10 Cd's there's no problem - with 800 there is Hope, you know the trick or certain answer how to use FR in the same way as IT.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Safari 4 beta and there seems to be an issue with playlists on music/video sites like Youtube and Imeem. When I start the playlist, the first song will play fine but if I don't have the window active it won't advance to the next one. It'll just sit there loading. I have to select the Youtube/Imeem window for it to progress to the next song.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm actually not even sure where to post this. I just attempted to burn an iTunes playlist to CD using my MacBook Pro. However, when we attempted to import the cd to my Niece's windows computer the CD title as well as each song were titled "we suck". This is very odd because the titles are correct when viewing the CD using my MacBook. Has anyone ever seen this before? Could this be a virus or something?
View 5 Replies View Relatedthis might sound like a daft question, but it's just started to annoy me.
i've just got into using smart playlists, and love em. I've got one just containing the band name 'minus the bear', and it puts all the albums i have in album order and will shuffle through different tracks.
but now for some reason when i click shuffle it re arranges all the tracks in the playlist. i know its abit ocd, but i liked have all my tracks in order. then if i want a specific track on i can find it easily, and then just let it shuffle after that.
i don't know how i had it like that before, but does anyone know how to get it back how i want it?
For some reason I'm no longer able to add mp3 files to an iTunes playlist. I can play the songs individually but can't make a playlist with the files. When I try to drag and drop them they just get a red cross and they don't get added.
Any suggestions on why this is and what to do?
Can someone give me a smart playlist way of finding songs that are not in a playlist?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I know this problem has been posted before, but I haven?t found a solid answer. When I drag music from a folder to iTunes, the green plus shows up but iTunes doesn?t do anything. It doesn?t import or even play the songs (when I double click them). I have write access to Music and Music/iTunes.
Whats wrong? It was working fine 24 hours ago.
Currently have a playlist for all songs on my local HD. Is there a way for the playlist to automatically update and add/remove songs as I add/remove them from my "Music" folder? I'd rather have this automated than manually adding songs each time I download them.

how do I copy a playlist from iTunes to my iPhone? iTunes Match somehow seems to to be getting in the way but I'm not sure how or why.
I'm using a new iMac and iPhone 4S. (Will leave out the details of the other devices I'll try to sync once this is done...) Previously, I had iTunes on an old PC and an iPhone 3, and everything worked beautifully: I created playlists, manually selected which I wanted on my phone, and sync'd perfectly. Now I have iTunes Match, with some 12,000 songs sync'd, and I thought this would make my life easier. Instead, I'm totally unable to create playlists for my phone.

how to add songs to smart playlist in itunes?

We have an iPhone 4 that is not playing audio from a playlist we created. We thought it was because we originally created it in the "cloud" but we deleted it and then created a new one. We synced it and still no audio playback. It also skips over tracks. When we try to individually select that song to play, it "skips" over it.
