I have a Samsung Evergreen cell phone and I accidentally erased a picture I need for work. The picture was on the phone's memory, not an SD card. I am trying to connect the phone to my iMac via a usb by mini usb connection........it does not appear anywhere in Finder. I am trying to connect it so that I can search for software that will scan deleted files on the phone.

I am searching for a solution that automatically takes incremental backups of my data, so that I stay assured of data stored at the secured data centers without having worry of loosing it. I was thinking about online backup. Will that be reliable?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am in India with a cell phone that has an unlimited data plan and legally allows tethering and has blue tooth. I am trying to connect to the Internet through the cell phone using blue tooth to my Macbook. I can "pair" with the cell phone but cannot connect. My new Macbook is running Snow Leopard
I can see the Nokia 7210 by clicking on the bluetooth icon upper right on the Mac. I can see the Macbook in the cellphone and click on connect in the cell phone.
Then the cell phone says "connecting to Macbook" followed by "service not supported by other device".
I have clicked on every combination I can find in blue tooth preferences on the Mac but can't get it to connect. Under blue tooth in the Mac it says paired but not connected.
Sometimes the Mac asks for a user name and pass code for the cell phone and it also asks for APN whatever that is. The owner of this cell phone tells me there isn't any username or passcode necessary and he has successfully connected through Windows notebooks without so using.
I recently switched my iPhone account to a new computer, and I can't figure out how to make my computer recognize my apps on my phone. I have a new email that i use for my iTunes stuff and it works, but on my phone it doesn't recognize the new email and it shows the old email and asks for the password, but even my old password doesn't work. I'm so frustrated How can I make my phone change the old email to the new one? The only problem is for the App Store.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have all these albums and songs on my phone and I don't know where they came from. I haven't downloaded them, they aren't in my library and I haven't synced with another computer. I have done a sync over and over anot nothing. I have even done a synch and took all the music off. I think it is 'other' stuff but don't know how to get it off of there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat I wanted to know was if there is some kind of way of connecting a phone to a computer via bluetooth, but make the computer think it is connected via USB? Like, if it could have a virtual USB device which comes from the phone via bluetooth. I know it sounds stupid and useless, but my phone's USB connection is broken. I can iSync via Bluetooth but I would like to use software like Salling Media Sync or doubleTwist to transfer and sync music, but neither have a bluetooth option.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use my mac (Imac and Macmini) for sending/receiving faxes and perhaps for CPI (computer phone integration).I have obtained a USRobotics usb modem. The question I have is do I need to connect that modem to the same connection (using a splitter) to where my telephone handset is ?If I connect this usb modem from the macmini to the phone line (not where the handset is), can I then use the Imac to connect to the phone for fax/cpi|? It is all the same phone line and on the same wifi.

I'm going to University next September (hopefully), and I want to be able to play my PS3 on my Macbook display (instead of taking my massive TV).
And I'd also like to be able to connect my freeview box which is a RCA/Scart connection. My PS3 is also RCA/Scart.
With the recent refresh, I will be picking up the 27 inch. I've read on some threads that people are having a difficult time using the IMAC as a monitor. I plan on purchasing a Motorola DCX3400 and wondering if there is a cable available in the market?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm after the easiest way I can link my Macbook to my TV so that I can use it to play dvds (if that's possible). The Macbook spec is as below and the TV has the usual connections (video, audio right speaker, audio left speaker, scart).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking at getting a MacBook Pro, and hooking it up to my Dell monitor and Logitech speakers when at home. Both the SP/DIF and coax connection on the speakers are free right now, so I need to know what cable I'd have to buy to connect the MacBook Pro to either of these 2 connections? I asked the online chat section of the Apple website, to which they replied they had no such cable, and proceeded to cut me off rather than providing a solution - doesn't exactly fill you with much confidence when buying into a premium product!
Can someone let me know what cable it is I require? It must be capable of producing 5.1 sound on the speakers.
I have been trying to do some research on a pair of speakers that I can use around the house. Right now, I just have my iMac speakers and some headphones.
Optimally I would like to have a pair of speakers set in the living room that I can automatically wirelessly stream my iTunes music to.
Right now the only ones that I have seen (via this forum and on the web) that I can directly connect an Airport Express to are the AudioEngine A5. I believe with these you literally plug the airport express to the back of them, if I understand them correctly.
Is there a list somewhere of speakers that are Airport Express enabled or can others provide alternatives to the AudioEngine A5?
So I bought wacom to go with my macbook air hoping that i would be able to use it in typed .doc files and unfortunately was not able to do this with Microsoft word 2011. Are there any other applications available that would allow me to do this?

Need step by step instruction to connect to internet using ipod touch via the internet connection (USB 3G Modem) of Macbook pro.
Macbook Pro (10.6.3)
USB 3G modem (HUAWEI E1550) data card
iPod Touch (3rd Generation)
I have been scouring google for hours to this solution and cannot find a solution.
I have an Airport Express acting as the router, connected to the ethernet jack in my dorm.
Now, my NAT is OPEN.
But I cannot connect to my friends online.
DOES ANYONE have a working configuration????
I have an AT&T Express 3G card I use to use with my MBP (which I sold yesterday). I am picking up a MacBook Air today during my lunchbreak . Since the MBA does not have an express slot, I have the following options for high speed internet on the go:
1. Get a USB 3G Modem or get a USB adapter for my current express card. The only problem is it would stick out and take up the only USB port on the MBA.
2. Get a 3G phone capable of sharing the connection over bluetooth. It would look seemless, but I would have to make sure the phone is charged. I currently use an iPhone as my main phone.
I take a train ride everyday to and from work, so I've gotten used to (spoiled?) having high speed internet. If I go with option 2, I would probably get a phone that is not that feature packed, I just want a stable and reliable connection, as thats all I would be using it for.
I've just gotten a new Sony Ericsson w350, and everything is working fine, except that I see that it connects to Internet Explorer to transfer music. Upon looking this up, it says it should still work to transfer music using a drag and drop and appearing as a USB on my mac.

I need to fax maybe 1-5 pages a month and am tired of going to the local mailboxes etc. And paying $1 page. My multiprinter Canon MP500 does not fax. I know I can join an efax type system but that's $80 a year. Are there any software programs to download and takes care of 'Sending" faxes without a modem or fax machine. Looked a pagesender but that requires a efax type of account. Just want to convert a scan into a fax and send it without adding another telephone line or piece of hardware.

But the problem is: The Apple USB modem have only one port that occupied my only telephone port in my house. But as there is hard to buy a phone-line adapter or separator in the stores anymore in my city. And I find that the software phone programs uses modem to make phone calls are "Dead".
