OS X :: Won't Upload Video To Youtube / Stop Half Way
Feb 16, 2010
Whenever i upload a video to youtube, it stops about halfway through or part way through and literally STOPS. the progress bar just wont move or change. it is very frustrating. i use a wireless connection, and even when i literally sit right next to the wireless box, the problem occurs, the videos have ranged from 5 mins to 10 mins. it has occured on both safari and firefox.
I have a video from my iPhone playing in Quicktime, i hit the little share button ( on my iMac thru Quicktime ) i enter in all the YouTube info, the status bar goes and it does it things by always hands at the end where it says "waiting for youtube to process video" it can sit there for hours and still nothing will happen?
I have a very reliable connection, mediacom online broadband and I've been trying to upload this .mov video that's about 700 MB in size and it hasn't been working. I've been leaving my computer on at night and I would wake up with it saying error. I've tried the beta version the regular version it just ends up stopping somewhere and not working anymore. I'm now trying to upload with plugging it into my router via ethernet instead of using wifi if that makes it any faster. I'm getting real tired of trying to upload time after time after time. Is there any freeware that I can use to upload to youtube so it's more reliable? I don't want to make the file smaller and have worse picture so it can upload faster.
I have a MBA and although I have a broadband connection, the internet speed in the MBA is pathetic. I even can't open a normal song in Youtube in half an hour.
I cant upload photos to facebook - message says facebook server not found and, i'm not sure if it's associated but i can't upload movies from my iphone 3GS to youtube.
Not sure if and whats occurred but i've just has a new hard drive installed in my imcac?
I know it has YouTube support, but can you it directly export true HD videos at 720p? I know that it has high-quality settings. And if it doesn't .. is this something that can be changed with a patch or update to iMovie or would it have to wait until iMovie '10?
i have tried everything to get videos uploaded to youtube but nothing works imovie gives me a communication error timeout thin and in safari i use the beta uploader and it crashes safari after ti gets like 5% done and i tried the reg uploader on youtube and it started at 1 and i checked it at4 30 and it still didnt budge or upload idk.
today I updated my system to 10.6.0 which is Snow Leopard. I post videos over on http://youtube.com/xpxvistaxosx and wanted to post an unboxing of Snow Leopard and a couple of other related videos about Snow Leopard. I have one problem, when ever I go to the Youtube upload page the video page just loads and never finishes rendering the web page, It isn't the web browser because I have tried Safari, Firefox and Omniweb and still no luck. I did have Glims for Safari and thought that could have been interfering but all traces of Glims are gone from my computer. Also the cache on all the web browsers have been reset so I really don't know what the problem could me. I really want to upload these videos on to the web and would greatly appreciate any help I could get.
Well I got rid of the quicksilvers since they died. Power supplys gave out and took the motherboards, So I sold what was left on EBAY.
My G4 Ethernet was sold to a co-worked and he is quite happy.
And I got this off ebay today:
Dual 1.8GHz PowerPC G5Procs 2GB RAM (2 x 1GB PC3200U DDR SDRAM) Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-117D Samsung HD160JJ/P 160GB SATA HDD (not apple labeled, not original to this system) (1) Power Cord pci106b,9 PCI Ethernet Controller
Well I didnt' read the fine print and BAZINGA! I noticed that it comes without a video card.
So For video editing, watching hulu and youtube and netflix What do you guys recommend.
I do have a PCI GEforce at home with 512 megs for PC and I was wondering if I could flash it and if so, does anyone know of a good walkthrough?
It must be some ad blocker or something, but I can't view videos. I can't seem to find what's causing it. I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.
I have only been a Mac owner for a couple of months, and I'm trying to figure out how to do basic video editing. I just bought a Canon Vixia HF s100 to replace a miniDVD type camcorder that was arbitrarily corrupting entire disks of video. Just now I tried to upload the first few clips that I've taken with the camcorder, and I think I somehow lost all the info that was on the card.
I have a card reader that I use for my photos, so I used that with the SDHC card based off of info someone had posted on this forum. Then I watched the imovie tutorial and decided I should've just plugged in the camcorder with the card in it and uploaded that way. When I put the card back in the camcorder it shows zero clips where there had been several.
I hope this makes some sense. . . does anyone know what I did wrong and if my video is lost forever??
How do you get an outside Power Point Presentation, made by Microsoft office to upload into iwork, or keynote, so I can present to a meeting using my ipod remote?
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), heaps of duplicate pics in iphoto
I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..
At the beginning of last year I bought a 3.2GHz 27" iMac. About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.
Why does my browser constantly have to stop playing when I watch You Tube or other videos? It stops and then starts up again after a few seconds and then stops again and re-starts.Happens on both Safari and Firefox.
I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.
I have a new iMac quad core i7 and am wondering how to connect my WD external hard drive via the firewire 800 port AND connect my hd video camera for uploading footage via the same port.
I came across a couple option but not sure how they will work.
1.) can I connect to this iMac via Gigabit Ethernet to my external hard drive?
2.) Should I get a powered firewire hub?
3.) should I find someone to install an eSata connection on my new iMac.
im trying to upload a video from my kodak usb camera M1093IS and i cant seem to find a way to do it. i plugged it in and i opened up imovie and my camera didnt show up. my camera also didnt show up on my desktop (which i understand to be normal since i used the search feature) but i still cant seem to find a way to do it.
