So this is what my safari dock icon looks like now after upgrading to 10.6.2. No impact on functionality but just an eyesore. I've restarted my computer, I've removed the icon from the dock and placed it back to no avail.

10.6.2 Minimize Safari & Finder to dock icon not working?
Since the update i can minimize other apps by double clicking the toolbar of the app - camino, littlesnapper, speedownload .... but not finder or safari - why? anyone else? it used to work fine....
My safari icon was moved from my dock to my desktop. I am trying to move it back and not have the icon on my desktop. But everytime I drag it to the dock it leaves the icon on my desktop and puts one in the dock. I tried command drag but it didn't work and if I erase the icon on my desktop I loose the whole program. And my kids have an account for themselves and the safari icon is missing completely and they cant get on the internet at all using there account. Can I put the icon back in there account without deleting there account and starting a new one.

View 1 Replies View Relatedsince the 10.7.4 update, I have the url shortcuts icon missing in my dock: When draging a new URL from safari to the dock, it's the same problem. The icon is invisible but there is a gap between the other icons and the name of the url's page is displayed when passing the cursor. This problem is only with URL shortcuts and no with jpg or pdf or mp3 or folder sortcuts etc.. I have already reboot the dock and make a disk permissions check and repair. Restarting my computer doesn't solve the problem. Safari Version 5.1.7 (7534.57.2)

Safari suddenly won't launch on my 10.5.8 system on my Powermac G5. The dock icon bounces for a few seconds then gives up. I haven't installed any new software recently.I've tried deleting all caches, preferences and plugins, repaired permissions, etc. It doesn't work when logged in on my spare account either.

I have this icon behind the Application icon on the dock and I cannot figure out what it is. It is not something on the desktop as I have moved the dock and can't see it, so it is definitely connected with the Application icon. I have deleted all downloads which could have been half done and I have removed an Alias I had in the Application folder. Now all the Applications appears as "Applications" in the "Kind" column when viewing in Finder.

I'm new to the whole mac thing and got my first mac (an iMac) just 2 days ago. A whole new learning experience.
I've downloaded and am running uTorrent. uTorrent is showing in the dock, with the text and the small "light" underneath it to show the app is running. However there is no icon, just space. Also in the applications folder, there seems to be a standard icon ("There's no icon, so we'll use this standard icon for the application").
I've attached a screenshot of how it looks in the dock.
I know the uTorrent app has an icon, it was showed right when I downloaded the app and I haven't changed anything, but now it's gone. How do I get it back?
I accidentally removed the Dashboard icon from the dock - anyone know how to get it back?

Is there a way to change the weblink icon in the dock? I've tried to use CandyBar as well as looking through the system with no luck. I couldn't find the location of the icon itself. You all know the default icon, but here it is just incase.

You know how there is a blue dot underneath an application's icon in the dock representing that the application is running? Is there a way to change this to another color? The applications and download icons are a folder and have a little embossed icon in the middle. The documents icon is a set three folders.... I have a screenshot here. I would like to make the documents folder the same as the other two (a single folder icon with the embossing in the middle). On both my other two macs, this is the case. When I open up the icon with "get info" this is the case. I know how to open up the icons using "get info" and use cut and paste to change their appearance. But no matter what I do, it still stays the same, as in the screen shot.
