This is my first post and I've a couple of questions and did searched for it on the internet but unfortunate ...For my study Multimedia designer, I am planning to get a Mac Pro but my school wants us to get a D*ll V laptop, windows 7 with these software:Adobe CS4 Master CollectioMicrosoft Office Enterprise 2007Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007I didn't choose for this D*LL laptop because its a 17,3" one and with my schoolbooks and etc in my bag, it would be pretty heavy for me.I hope that someone in this forum knows the answers on my questions and I really appreciate your help cos I even asked my friends and family about it but unfortunate, no luck so far
The planned mid-January release of Office 2008 offers a significant overhaul of the productivity suite's look and features.
The previous segment described new features in Word 2008, with some comparisons to Apple's Pages 08. This article examines what's new in Excel 2008 and contrasts Microsoft's oldest application to Apple's newest: the Numbers 08 spreadsheet included with iWork.
Microsoft Word Mail Merge launches a file converter when using Excel files as the data source. Nothing new about that. However, when using Mail Merge in Word 2008 and an Excel xlsx file as data source under OS X 10.6, the file converter will not recognize the file unless the extension .xlsx is actually appended to the file name. The file converter used by Word 2008 still recognizes xls files with or without the extension appended, as did the file converter used by Word X.
I need to use Microsoft Office 2007. I have boot camp installed, but I hate having to restart to Windows just for the sole purpose of using Microsoft Office 2007, which also keeps me from multi-tasking with other stuff. What programs are available? I don't want to install windows again.
I'm using my 13" MBP for running Windows 7 right now. I'm in Excel 2007 and I'm unable to right click. When I right click the menu pops up with the options that are usually available once someone right clicks, but it disappears after a tenth of a second. Any idea what's causing this?
I have been reading more and more on parallels, and I was hoping someone here could answer some questions about its coherence mode.
Does it let you run applications for windows transparently through the MAC OS? As in, I insert the installation disk for office 2007, the setup menu comes up, I install it, and I get to put the word icons on the dock, I can open word/excel/whatever and just runt he applications without having to boot in to some sort of an emulation mode or whatever?
I would appreciate some input from some people here.
So I have installed Windows XP on my mid-2009 MacBook Pro, and installed teh full Microsoft Office 2007 suite, but in all of the programs, it will not let me right click. In all of the programs, i right click, and the option bar briefly flashes, but then disappears, without letting me choose any of the options. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?
I'm trying to use my MacBook more and more at work but have run into a slight problem with Excel 2008 (all the updates are installed).
When I open a Spreadsheet that was made in Excel 2003 on windows that has some cells colored in, make any change then save, all the colors that the cells are shaded change. They originally are bright colors and after saving on my Mac they've changed to muddy, dark versions.
As these sheets are used by multiple people this has made me quite unpopular in the office!
I recently installed the 2011 version. So now I have 2008 and 2011 on my Mac... Is it ok for me to uninstall the 2008 version or will that get rid of all my docs, spreadsheets, presentations?
just bought a copy of microsoft office 2008 for mac with 3 product keys, but i only have one mac, and 9 PC's. I am running Windows 7 on my Mac, and i wanted to know if i could download a free trial version of it from microsoft, then enter my mac product key for the full version. oh also i only own 2 PC's and 1 Mac that are my own computers. The rest we share, but i use my mac the most, just so u guys dont say my name is ironic.
I accidentally trashed two of my icons on my icon bar I didn't put them in the trash but when I clicked them they turned into wads of trash. I don't know how to find them now?
All of a sudden Word and Excel won't open any more. I just get a message that says "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I'm taking a college course that uses Vizio for Windows. The database course I'm taking teaches you how to set up a mysql database using Vizio as it sets up and labels the Primary Key and Foreign Key that mysql uses. Does Omnigraffle do this as well? I see where Omnigraffle has the "crows foot" line that is proper symbology in a mysql database structure, but can't find out how to do the Primary Key in it.
I am in a Computer Science class that requires Microsoft Office 2007. The problem is I only have Macs. There isn't a version of Microsoft Office 2007 for Mac. But is there a version that is similar to 2007 and is able to run on a Mac?
Is there an way possible to run the PC version of Microsoft Office 2007 on a Mac? Without using a virtual Machine?
I really loved the Ribbon UI in the PC version and I have tried the Office for Mac and I prefer the PC. Any possible way to run PC version of Office on Mac?
1. What are the file extensions for MAC excel? Do they differ from PC excel? 2. What are the differences between MAC excel 08 vs PC excel 07? I have had some work done by a provider in elance in PC excel 07 and now i can not read the spread sheet in my MAC environment. The provider is saying that MAX and PC excel versions are 100% compatible - I disagree and need to know the differences but I am not tech/program savvy.
I've installed Microsoft OneNote for my new Mac Air running OSX 10.9.4, but am unable to read OneNote 2007 files uploaded to OneDrive in the .one format. I'm perfectly willing to switch to Evernote, if there is a way to import .onr files into Evernote. Do I need to save them on my PC in a different format before uploading them?
Computer: Mac Air 13 inch, early 2014 with with OSX 10.9.4
Microsoft OneNote for Mac Version 15.2
Files I'm trying to read were created with OneNote from Office 2007
Time since boot: 7:26
Info: MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), Windows App questions
I open it and it says that the document cointains Word 2007 for Windows equations, which is not supported by Word 2008 for Mac.
I have never had this problem before, and I have downloaded a lot of these documents, containing equations from Equation Editor.
Is there any way I can make it accept them? I am pretty sure there isn't a 2007 edition of Word, and it sounds crazy that a Word document contains something that Word for Mac can't read.
So at my new job they use Exchange Server 2007 for mail and calendars, and supposedly I should be able to view other people's calendars, but I can't find any way to do this in iCal.
im in search of a mac. Not going to go over specs but anyway. As a pc user looking for an upgrade and to try something different, i have now come to the crossroad on what to buy for word processing and the works. Now i have been using office 2007 for the past year and a half and have rehabilitated to the new format. Since the pc version of office 2007 will not run on a mac and i will be forced to pay $150 for the one for the mac. Which is better. I works it only $100 in Canada (going to make that clear i live in Canada) Will i miss Office 2007 or will i work be something that i will enjoy to work with.
On my ipad/iphone I have docstogo which I use for my Microsoft excel work, but what do i need to use to do the Microsoft excel work on my new MacBook Pro?
I have a question regarding Microsoft power point. I have microsoft powerpoint 2007 on my PC, but sadly don't have the microsoft 2008 or iworks on my mac. I have a report I have to present so I have to do it on my PC. Problem is that they have MACs that have microsoft office 2008. Question is if i save a file on the MS PP 2007 for PC would it work on MS PP 2008 on a mac? Or would I have to save it as a 97-03 PP file that would be an extension of .ppt. I believe the extension for the 2007 PP is .pptx.
I am currently a pc user and am considering getting a mac. Before I make the leap, I am trying to find out some info. Currently, I'm using Vista with Outlook 2007. I will have to continue using pc for work but would like to use mac for photos, etc... My question deals with Outlook 2007 and Entourage 2008 compatability/integration. Does anybody know if Outlook and Entourage use the same pst file? Is it still a pst file in Entourage? I will be loading XP on mac via boot camp and/or Parallel/Fusion. Can Outlook 2007 and Entourage 2008 share the same pst file? I am hoping that they both use the same file so that when I'm in XP, my Outlook will have all emails, sent & received, as when I'm in OSX and Entourage 2008. Am I going to have to import file evertime I change OS? Also, does anybody have an opinion on Parallel or Fusion. What's the difference and what are the pro and cons of either.
