When I tell Image Capture to save a scan in a particular folder, it doesn't show up there in the Finder. This is a fairly new trick. Sometimes after considerable fiddling, they will suddenly be there.
If I go into Photoshop or Word and search for the files, both Photoshop and Microsoft Word can see the files in the correct folder. The Finder just can't see them.Â
I'm using CanoScan LiDE 200, with Image Capture, with scans going to iPhoto.But the scans are also saved in Pictures folder. How to stop the scans go to Pictures folder ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have deleted the photos off my camera manually and wanted to change it to shoot in RAW but then when i connected it back up to upload using 'Image Capture', the old image files show up as missing, and the new ones not at all so i changed back to jpeg format, but the problem wont go away
it seems like its saved the old image info in a cache or something can i wipe it clean and start over some way?
I've downloaded the most recent Image Capture software but system preferences and Image Capture still won't recognize the scanner. It might be the fault of the scanner but seeing as other people have. how to try and get my computer to recognize the scanner?

I just got a new MacBook Pro. I have my epson printer on my network. How do I get Image Capture to recognize that I have a printer. Nothing comes up on devices. I'm sort of stabbing in the dark at network settings and I downloaded the latest Epson driver. Nothing seems to work.

when I try to open a file in Preview. Same error occurs when I simply try to open Preview directly as well. It was working fine yesterday and prior to that. Haven't added any external devices or done any updates so I am not sure what happened. I did however download a game about two days ago called F18 Carrier Landing....could this be the cause...

I use image capture to scan from hp office jet 8500 A910. office jet becomes idle and disconnects from image capture. How can I stop this or reconnect without always switching office jet on/off each time?

I have a sudo media server running iTunes (Windows xp box). Is there anything out there that will scan the hard drives looks for new files that have been added and then update my itunes? IE instead of manually having to go to file>>add to library, it will do this for me when it runs? Basically a script or program that scans my files looking for new files that have been added and then adds them to my itunes library. I know I am asking for a lot but I was just wondering if anybody has done anything like this or has found something that does do this.

I use Image Capture to get photos off my Canon XSi. Lately, it hasn't been working. Image Capture shows 26 CR2 icons, but won't show their thumbnail previews. It won't download them, and I can't delete them, either. It also won't recognize any new photos I've taken with the camera. The only thing I've done recently that might have caused this is I installed a new scanner (Epson V300).

I am having problems with Image Capture not recognizing all the files on my camera (and recognizing photos that have long since been deleted).So I just took a few pictures to test out and see if I could get it to work right. I plugged in my camera and opened up image capture. I clicked download all. It downloaded two pictures that are not even on my camera (I double checked to make sure) and they were deleted weeks ago. And it's not recognizing the pictures I just took. There are about 23 pictures and it's not recognizing any of them just the two pictures that were deleted a while back. What's going on here? I'm new to Mac by the way.

I've purchased Jing but it won't do it. Are there any other applications available for Snow Leopard? Now I am using Jing to capture each piece of the page and then stitching them together in photoshop. There has to be a better way.
when i try to scan photos using image capture, the overview scan works fine, and i can see the photo, but when i press scan, it goes through the actions, and the scanner goes to work, but after the scan is finished, my photo is nowhere to be found. it simply does not show up in the folder i specified.
