Applications ::installed Safari 4.0.5 - Google Mail Gadget Don't Work
Mar 14, 2010Just wondering anyone run into any problem after installed Safari 4.0.5? I use igoogle as Homepage, after I upgraded to 4.0.5 the google mail gadget don't work anymore, when i click on mail it won't go to quick view for Gmail and if I click on the Google Mail in the tap on the left-hand side it's work but bottom half of the mails screen or half of the email it's missing..Anyone having the same problem? I try to find 4.0.4 to download but I cant find anywhere still has it..

I was trying to open Printer Pro but it doesn't show up in the finder and when I tried to put it in the trash it says it can't throw it away because it's open. The forced quit dialogue box does not list it as open. What do I do?

Dec 5, 2010Installed a new 750GB drive into my MacBookPro 5.1 Couldn't get Winclone to make image so I was forced to start from scratch with a new XP installation.
My MBP is partitioned 25%Mac & 75%XP with bootcamp and I have the old drive in a enclosure connected with a firewire. So all of old files are on the external drive now.
After installing XP I have no internet connection, drivers etc... However if I boot up on the mac side everything works fine. (I cloned the mac os already with Carbon copy).
So can I just copy all my old drivers over to the new drive? If yes how and if no how do I get them installed on the new harddrive. The MBP came with everything preinstalled.

Jan 19, 2009After updating to .6, one of the folders I placed in the sidebar said that the volume could not be found. The folder opened fine if was through the documents folder. It even worked if I added to the sidebar again. It will not let me delete the old folder. I've tried right clicking, command clicking, just about everything. Anyone know how to delete this folder?

OS X :: Finder Sidebar Has Disappeared - How To Get It Back
Oct 9, 2010I have had an app called Total Finder installed, they recently did an update, which caused me to have sidebar problems. I have since deleted this app, because I couldn't work without my sidebar.
After deleting the app, and re-launching finder, I now have no sidebar, no options, search box or back buttons in my finder window, and my folders open in new windows when the 'always open folders in new windows' box is unticked.
OS X :: Sidebar Icons Revert To Generic?
Oct 11, 2010Whenever I restart my system my sidebar icons revert to a generic white icon. Not all of them do it, and its not always the same ones. They flip flop for no reason. One time my picture icon will be generic, the next time I restart my picture icon is fine but my music icon is generic.
Anyone know why this happens? It never happened on my previous machines running the same version of OSX. 10.6.4
I used candybar to replace icons and its never been a problem in the past. I've even manually replaced the icons in finder and it still happens.
The icons in question are on my second drive, not my boot drive. Does that have something to do with it? Sometimes if I just click on the generic icon the correct icon will show up, sometimes it wont.

Sep 24, 2009Just got my first ever mac, and loving it so far. One thing is annoying me though, the way the sidebar always pops up in preview.app when opening more than 1 image file.
I can choose to hide it, but as soon as I open a second image, it'll pop up again, taking up valuable space on my screen that I'd much rather devote to the image itself.
Does anyone know of a way of permanently disabling it? Perhaps a terminal command?

Applications :: IPhoto Events In Sidebar
Aug 13, 2010I have been a long time mac user and my friend has just switched from a PC. She has tons of photos and has become very frustrated at how hard it is to move photos between events, (cutting and pasting being the best method I could tell her to use) in iPhoto. Before she arranged them as folders in the Windows explorer and it was easy to drag a photo from an open folder in the right hand of the explorer to a different folder in the vertical list on the left hand of the explorer. It got me wondering if anyone knows of a way, or a program, that will allow the events to all be viewed in a drop down in the left hand sidebar (perhaps like exposing all of your playlists in iTunes) of the iPhoto window, allowing you to open events in the main part of the window and simply drag photos to a different event on the left? I suggested just using the finder to organise them, but then editing becomes difficult.

Mar 25, 2012I added some folders in finder sidebar a while back, and suddenly, they disappeared, such as the documents shortcut. When I try to put them back, finder removes it again.Also if I go to Finder - Preferences and try to check the documents shortcut to appear in sidebar again, the checkbox doesn't work. I'm pretty sure this happened after I synchronized my iPhone for the first time. How can I add favorites to the finder sidebar again?
