I am looking for a method for adding art work to Audio CD's. I heard about making 2 partitions and a file that loads the image on the CD player that supports album artwork but didn't understand quite well so if anyone knows about this pls. enlighten me
The reason i want to learn this is cause I make DJ sets and give them away but it wood be cool to give a CD with the artwork included.
For uncompressed music on my iPod, I drag the AIFF files from the CD to my desktop, then from my desktop to my iPod in iTunes.
From there I am able to use Get Info to edit the artist, album, genre, track info, etc., and that all works fine. But I am unable to associate album art with the uncompressed files.
I copy and past the artwork into the Artwork box and click okay, then nothing happens, it's as simple as that.
I tried selecting a couple uncompressed tracks AND MP3 tracks at the same time and "mass editing" the artwork, and only the MP3 files are changed, not the uncompressed files.
When inserting an audio cd to import into my itunes library the audio cd is labeled only as track 1, track 2, etc. there is no album info, artist name, artwork.

I'm constantly trying to update the artwork in iTunes with my own artwork, but I've noticed that with some songs, about a minute or two after I've updated the artwork, the old artwork pops back in its place.Â

I'd understand that the iTunes store wouldn't have very low sales volume album art, but nothing for the Beatles? After loading over 100 CDs onto my disc, artwork was only found for about 40 of them.

It isnt allowing me on some of them and I noticed that on the ones I can't add artwork they are mkv's, Can't you add artwork to mkvs? and if not do you know a way so I can do it.
Some of my cds don't have any artwork with them (choir recordings, friends' recitals, etc) so I just want to add my own pictures or artwork in itunes. The images are all under 200x200, all jpeg (though I've tried other formats as well), and when I go into the "get info" part and add it to the artwork pane, it shows up. But when I click "ok", it doesn't show up with the rest of the albums (as Cover Flow or as Grid). I've tried "clear downloaded artwork" and then adding it, but that doesn't help either.

However, for other years in which that lecturer presented there is no album artwork so I would like to grab the album artwork I already have for a given lecturer and use it for the missing album artwork.

When I select an album in grid view and choose Get Info, the Get Info window does not show the artwork tab, like what shows when I select a single song. There is a tiny little Artwork window in the Info tab, but I want to add multiple artwork to this (dragged in from the Finder), front, back and inside album art. If I select a single song in that album and choose Get Info, then I see the artwork tab, but the artwork I drag in applies only to that song (the album art appears in the Now Playing pane only when that song is playing). How do you add artwork to a whole album?

I am having difficulty getting podcast artwork that appears in the podcast directory on the iTunes store to appear in iTunes after I've subscribed.For example, if I choose NBC's "Meet the Press (audio)", the directory shows a cover image for the podcast.However, when I subscribe, no cover art appears on my iTunes or my iPod Nano (latest generation).When I click on the podcat image and then select "Get Album Artwork" (either by ctrl+click on the mouse, or the "Advanced" menu), nothing happens.What might be causing this to happen, and what do I do? I want to hook my Macbook Pro up to a Sony Bravia (not sure of the exact model). I went to the Apple Store, and was given these two items to hook it up. Moshi Mini DP to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support. Belkin High Speed HDMI Cable - 6 feet
We successfully hooked it up last night, and the video worked. I was told in the store that this setup would not transfer audio, so I already knew there would not be sound coming from the TV, rather from the Macbook instead. My Q is: What's the easiest way to get audio to come from the TV? I'd rather not buy external speakers to plug in, if I can help it.
When I use some powerpoint presentation containing audio-visual info keynote always seems to prematurely end the audio part. Have tinkered with it a little, but can't seem to sort it out

Please post if you have an audio pop or click type sound that is intermittent (every few minutes or couple hours) on your i5 or i7 machine while playing audio through external speakers.

Mine happens whether on battery or not, iTunes, games, movies, Locked in video card...
I want to convert some video files (specifically swf in this case) to audio files so I can listen on my iPod. I looked everywhere and can't find some free software that does that. There are tons that have trial periods with lots of limitations (like it won't convert anything larger than a 5k size file) so I don't want those because I won't know if the thing works well unless I pay for it. I'm not opposed to paying for a converter IF I know it works awesome on a Mac.

I am trying to play a .avi video on my MAC that was originally in .rar compressed format. I opened it in VLC, and the audio wont play.. so i checked the info and saw that:
video codec: XVID
audio codec: mpga
I have perian downloaded.. it doesnt seem to be doing anyting. I dont know if i've missed something in my extracting process of the .rar file.
I have attached my Mac mini to my Sony TV (to use as a moniter) - there hasn't been any trouble with the picture but I cannot get any sound. Â
I am using a VGA (I know that doesn't send audio over) plugged into the 'PC In' port at the back of my tv, and I am using an audio cable with a normal headphone-type jack on one end (going into the headphone port on the back of my mac mini) and the red/white cable going into the HDMI-in red/white ports on the back of my tv. I can't figure out what is going on - I tried plugging the red/white cables into all the input ports on the back of my tv, just in case, but no luck.Â

When I was using Panther I had no problem getting album covers (artwork) from Google but since upgrading to a new iMac and Snow Leopard iTunes won't accept artwork from any other source but the iTunes store. Is there a way around? Am I missing something? Not ALL artwork (albums / one hit wonders) are available through the iTunes store but I still would like their album-covers.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to figure out how to add album cover to .flac and .aiff files for a while. When I try to add it to .flac, it just shows "Album cover not modifiable" and when I try to add it to .aiff files, it does it, but then when I quit iTunes and restart it, it's gone again.
Is this a bug or it just not possible to add album cover to them?
Btw: Audiophile, would prefer .flac or .aiff over .mp3
Tried a few different methods of changing the artwork for an album, but it won't stick. Instead, it looks like it's scrambling the artwork. Tried two or three different .jpgs, but it just winds up looking like what's shown below: What's going on with that? 17k songs and this is the first time this has happened. Tried restarting iTunes.. no go. Don't wanna jack up the library (too much).

I successfully imported a few hundred classical CDs in the iTunes library of my brand new Mac Mini. In spite of having attempted everything mentioned in the help files, I was unable to get any artwork to match.

Is there a way to delete all the artwork from iTunes and start over again? I keep getting the wrong album artwork for many of my songs. Even if I delete it individually, it comes back. I was thinking, if I delete it all, turn off iCloud and syncing, download all new artwork, then reload iCloud, I might finally be able to have the correct artwork.Â
It seems one piece of artwork shows up on almost half my songs. It's really annoying. With 1000's of songs, it would take forever to do each individually (and even if I did, I think that one piece of artwork would show up when I synced with iCloud.Â
The last three movies I've purchased from itunes do not have artwork. When I browse my movie collection, the picture for the movie is the icon for a blank piece of film. Anyway, other than finding a picture on the internet to get the artwork to show up?

I like music, and I like the iTunes Artwork screensaver as a way to select music randomly. Often, I get to my computer, wake it up from sleep, and it presents me with a typical login screen.Â
Is it possible to have the computer wake up to the iTunes Artwork screensaver, instead of the traditional login screen? Currently, I have a hot corner set to launch the screensaver, so I first login, then launch the screensaver with the hot corner, then select my background music, then I have to login again. Ideally, I would be able to wake up, select some music, login and go!
