I installed the trial version of iStatsMenus and it has ran out, but left me with this after uninstallation (two exclamation marks). How do I get rid of them?
Also, after uninstalling Toast I still cant remove the "Toast it" menu command even after removing all sorts of Toast related code from the MBP.
im running mac os x 10.4.6 on a g4 powermac. ive got toast 9, but whenever ive tried to burn a cd, it gives me the following message " sense key = illegal request sense code 0 x 20 invalid command operation code" and then "couldnt set up the track for writing"
although I have been successful in burning a cd from itunes. im guessing its something to do with the settings, but im completelyey stuck.
I ran a search and the only program I came up with is Toast 10.
Does anyone know how to do this? I've installed many Applications (compiling from source) with the command line, but how do I uninstall them?

I used to burn plenty of DVD's on my pc's and my first line of business with the mac was to find a way to continue my collection. From my limited research I found out Toast was the easiest and most straightforward way to burn DVD's. I jumped on it and bought it without looking too far into it(possible mistake in the end?). went to copy a dvd and turns out it does not get through the encryption on DVD's(on current settings).
I'm looking for some help in burning encrypted dvd's. Whether it is another program to break the encryption and allow Toast to burn it, or another program altogether to do it all in
one step
I just bought this program and I have two questiones so far that I could not find a answer. Anyways the first is every time I open the program it goes threw the setup every time even to the registration again and putting in my keychain password like installing a new program, did I not install it right ? Second I have the program open now and I choose a folder to open were my movies are and I could here the computer serching for the cd in the drive and the little wheel just spins untill I put the cd in the drive, does this program only work with the cd in the drive ?

I don't know where all the files are. Is there a terminal command to completely remove it? Or someone said something about a packet manager to uninstall it? Everything went smoothly including installing 4x750 Samsung Spinpoint drives from newegg, 4 GB of extra memory from OWC, Raid set up, and so on. For instance, I want to uninstall a program that I installed as I want to reinstall it. In Windows, you've this wonderful control panel that has everything. Mac's Utility folder has some stuff, but not what I am looking for. I love the right-click mouse feature in Windows; can't seem to have that work on my Mac. So, is there any kind of resource available which lists everything that the OS does without any pretty pictures or over-simplifications? The 81-page manual on Apple site didn't do much good to me. And, how do you uninstall a program? Throwing the .app file in the trash didn't help.

I am new to using mac and just got a new HP printer to replace my old hp printer. If I understand correctly I click and drag my current HP printer file/icon to the trash and then search for additional files using applef to delete the rest. Is this right? Am I missing any other crucial steps? If the brand is the same do I need to remove the additional files?
Also and this may be a stupid question, but how do i make sure that my computer does not recognize the old printer for my wireless network when I set up my new one?

So, I found the file under applications and drug it to the trash thinking it was gone. Well it wasn't. Now every time I plug in my ipod it pops up "Sync alert". It wants me to sync my ipod with it but I don't want to. I don't even remember what the program is called, but it does not seem to be showing up in the finder or in the spotlight. my DELETE functionality within finder is not working consistently anymore. I am only seeing this issue on my new MAC BOOK AIR (used for work and received just last week), and not on my macmini (that is also running Lion and I've had for a year).Â
Basically, I am having problems deleting files using CMD + DELETE. I hit this command and get the typically apple "ping" sound for a something that isn't working, however I can right click and hit MOVE TO TRASH and it goes immediately, which means it's definitely not a file permission/in-use/lockout issue.Â
I feel like I did something stupid to cause this, but it only doesn't work occasionally. I have noticed it moreso right after I open or have used a file, but while CMD+DEL doesn't work, the MOVE TO TRASH does, so i'm lost.Â
extremely frustrated and I've been through my System Pref settings alot in case I turned something off.Â

I decided not to keep the Trend Micro Smart Surfing program after my subsription expired. Well I deleted by dragging it into the trash can. It's been over two months and every time I start my iMac it pops up on my menu bar and tells me about my expiration of service.I emptied my trash can, but no luck. I have tried reinstalling the program thinking there may be some uninstaller program I needed to use, but it tells me I have to delete the current version first. I have searched in spotlight and in finder, but no trend micro or smart surfing shows up. I don't know what to do anymore, but it is a pain to have to deal with that program after I deleted it.
