View 5 RepliesI switched to a 27" iMac in November and have moved the majority of my work from my PC. I need a program or app similar to MS Publisher for a monthly newsletter.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor several years I have published a newsletter for the local Lions Club using Publisher. I currently have a partitioned hard drive with my Publisher and newsletter files on the Windows side of my MacBook Pro. I constantly run into frustrating problems trying to move photos, save files and print across platforms.
Is there a Mac program that would read my Publisher files so that I could work with my same template on the Mac side? Will Mac Office 2011 recognize Publisher files produced on the Windows side?
In WIN7 environment I use Microsoft Publisher quite regularly, primarily as I have a need in a small business I run, to produce CD Covers....the small folded booklet inside a CD jewel case, and the back cover with the 2 foldup ends, to produce a CD's jacket and back cover. In a MAC world, I cant quickly find an APP that will do this. I spent a few bucks on Swift Publisher 2 but it has no CD cover templates.

I have set up the imac with parallels and loaded xp pro and some software, one of which is Publisher from the Office 2003 suite. I have a HP 8550n colour laser printer attached to the imac via the parallel port on a port replicator and this prints fine when printing from the imac side of the story. When I go into parallels and xp pro and Publisher and create a document it simply wont print. There is only one printer attached to the imac at the moment, the document seems to leave the screen (as such) but it never gets to the printer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to find a program that works just like Microsoft Publisher. I use it to make catalogs for some companies's websites I'm currently working on. What would be the best choice here? I need the program to export as PDF. I have the layout saved so if there's a way for me to convert it for OS X and work from there it would be good.

I am using Xcode to learn C from a windows-oriented "teach yourself" book. The executable file for the Hello World! program ends in .exe.I imagine that this would run if you double-clicked it in a windows operating system. Is there an equivalent extension for the mac? Or is it always only ran through the terminal program in the Xcode program?

I'm new to mac, so I don't know what's out there and didn't see anything listed in the help menu for mac apps here.
View 2 Replies View Relatedgood Graphmatica equivalent for OS X? I've tried geoMac and EdenGraph, but like neither of those.
EdenGraph can't plot multiple curves at the same time, and while dragging, the curves disappear, while with geoMac I have to manually specify the range when drawing a graph of the function, and I don't know how to get the coordinate of a point on the graph.
I'm desperatingly looking for the AnyDVD equivalent on Mac, the famous Win software from Slysoft. I tried to use DVD2One, which itself is very fast (considering that it uses all the CPU cores), but unfortunately it cannot handle copy-protected DVDs. First ripping the DVD on the Hd with Mac The Ripper is a time wasting, considering that in Windows AnyDVD simply removes the protection via software, without any previous extraction of the DVD content.
