OS X Mavericks :: How To Change User Profile Picture To Custom Picture From Hard Disk
Sep 4, 2014
I am using MAC OS X 10.9.4Â ...
I want to change my user profile picture to a custom picture on my hard disk - but can't seem to figure out how. It only gives me the option to choose from the default pictures ...
Info:
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
I was wondering if anyone can help me locate the original user picture I took when I first started my Macbook Pro.I accidently changed it to a photo i took on photobooth and I can't find it anymore. The old one still appears on ''Messeges" as my picture but is nowhere to be found. I've looked in the Library Cache, User profile pics, etc.
I logged into my macbook pro the other day and I noticed that my picture was blank (by blank I mean that silhouette icon that you have with new accounts). So i opened my addressbook and reset my picture. A few minutes later, I noticed that my profile picture was reset to blank again so I changed it again and waited. Right before my eyes, the picture changed back to the silhouette again.Â
I have a custom desktop picture on computer. However I want to edit the actual picture (not change to another picture) & I deleted the original some time ago. Where is the actual picture stored so I can edit it?Â
Info: macbook pro C2D 2.66 , 4gb ram, 320 gb hd, Mac OS X (10.7)
As stated in title, the desktop picture will randomly revert to a picture I had up there months ago, usually when I run the battery all the way down on my unibody MB, but also when I change display settings when i plug into an external monitor.
Do I just need just reset the PRAM or is there something else I'm missing.
BTW, I have searched and I know I only have a few posts...
i was wondering if Imovie HD has any tools to let me put one video inside of another. i'm trying to record guitar and i want to show the video for two parts at the same time?
When I first turned on my computer, it had me take a user picture for my login in OSX. It's a really good picture of my friends and myself. I was wondering where this picture is located so I can get a bigger version.
I have this photo for my user display picture, and i've got it cropped because I only want part of it as my display picture.I have to keep resetting it all the time, and its beginning to annoy me a lot.I think its everytime I turn my computer off by holding the power button for 5 seconds (I think) for when my computer freezes or something. Please tell me how to stop this happening & why its happening. If you need the info about it then here it is:Processor 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 DuoMemory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MBSoftware Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)13-inch, Mid 2009
im trying to change my main user picture when i log into my imac. i know the procedure but everytime i go to restart my pc or boot it up its the same old display pic of mine. im using mac lion.
Has anyone noticed a missing User Picture after Shutdown?
I've had the same one for well over a year and then last week I noticed on start up at the User screen the picture was missing.I went into system preferences > users/groups > and pulled down the drp down menu besides the picture square and chose a small avatar picture to use. All seemed good. Shut the Mac down and then restarted again and it had gone again. Tried another picture and same thing. always had a picture from my library and not an Apple system one.
I just noticed that my User Account Picture does not appear on my Login Screen in OS X 10.7.4 Lion. It never has and I just noticed on another Screen shot of someone else's login screen that their login picture is showing. I kind of like it. Can anyone tell me how to get it to display there? My computer was originally set to autologin when I first got it but I set it to require name and password.
Is it possible to change the display preferences (e.g., Fit to Screen, Fill Screen, Center) for the log-in desktop picture? If so, how can this be changed?
My default pic viewer is Xee, but once I edit a pic in Photoshop, it gets opened in Photoshop. This may be a PS question but I'm not sure. I want all my pics I edited with PS to be opened with Xee, what do I do?
my system preferences is not working, i was trying to change my desktop picture and it says loading pictures and comes up with a colour wheel, i have left it for a few days and nothing has happened.
I tried to find a tool in "inspector" but couldn't...I just want to change a JPEG file from color to black/white effect.
I know in Powerpoint 2011, I can simply click on the image and there will be several image effect selections on the ribbon. I couldn't find the same feature on Keynote 09.
I have a g3 slot loading Imac, which I am reusing as a computer for a family member who is visually impaired. I have bought a 22" monitor that can display a resolution of 1680x1050. but I can not display more than 1024x768. Another problem is that I can't get it just to display on the external monitor, it uses both monitors with identical pictures.
I set the desktop background picture to photos on Aperture through right mouse clicking to "change destop background".
All the photos fhrough Aperture are present. I click the photo and it changes. I also use the screen saver using aperture photos. All of these photos are on an external drive and has been working flawlessly with Lion on my older imac.
Last week I bought a new imac with Lion. Everything is working the same as above except for when I shut down the imac. When I boot it back up, the mac supplied image of the milky way appears and the photo I had on the desktop prior to shutting down has been replaced by this.Â
The external is mounted and the screen saver after 5 minutes will show my Aperture photos....it is just the desktop photo that has been replaced..Â
It is definitely important to me though. I downloaded the free trial of Pixelmator to my new 2013 Mac Pro and I can not seem to load any images. I see plenty of controls, but the center of my screen is my screen saver and no picture to edit. I am clicking file, open and then the image I want, but nothing happens.
