I have updated my macbook pro to Lion and begun the process (but not completed) of moving to icloud. There is no idisk icon in my system preferences and I can't find any information about where my idisk files are. I've logged in to me.com. I only get a series of icons relating to the new icloud. Also it defaults to find my phone which I find it difficult to get out of.

I am trying to move material created in earlier iWeb (08?) to an FTP server. It is now saved as a web archive. I also have been on mobileme. I am on snow leopard and am not quite ready for lion. I can't seem to find an iweb page in the web archive. To follow the instructions from my new web host I need to have the iweb page that lsts the site name. How can I find this from the web archive? Otherwise I seem to find the content of my iweb-created blog when I open the web archive (in Safari).

I have an old pre-Intel G5 Mac desktop and want to keep using Mobile me Mail and Entourage because they work so well and I have been using them for 10 years. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install OS X Lion on my 27" iMac.I've erased the HD using Disc Tool in recovery.HD shows no errors.I've tried Internet Recovery (it loads up, but wont start the installation)I've tried creating a recovery usb on another similar iMac, and use it on this. Same error, only differance is it keeps "loading" when installing, but nothing happens. Same error in log. When I try to start the Reinstall I get an error in the installation log that goes something like this:Â

I'm an idiot, pleased to meet you.I had 2 external drives connected to my Macbook Pro, both had time machine back ups on...I meant to delete one of these but deleted the wrong one, and dragged it into Trash. On realising my mistake I tried to drag it back out of Trash, as you would normally but after "preparing to copy" for four hours it told me the drive was full...It's a 500gb drive, and the Time Machine back up is the only thing on it, so presumably it's just trying to copy itself when the back up is still present on the drive, albeit in the Trash.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi finally got my High Res Glossy MBP after 4 weeks of waiting...Everything works fine...and NO yellow tint issue...The only problem is 1 small dead pixel towards the bottom right of the screen...Will apple do an exchange on CTO machines with only 1 dead pixel?Is it even worth doing the exchange? After reading these forums i see that a lot of other users have been complaining about all types of problems...Yellow tint, wifi problems, over heating...etcshould I consider myself lucky? And just be happy that its only 1 small pixel?
View 24 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)

Also couldn't find it in the Apple support docs. So...Does anybody know how far back TC backups go? Does it just hold on to the latest backup or can you go back awhile to recover your files?For example, if a file was corrupted six months ago, will I be able to retrieve the prior uncorrupted version of it - or just the latest TC backup version of it (which would of course also be corrupted)?

i just bought the game Spore and i am having troubles with it. 1st after i download the cd an update pops up for the game back to back to back to etc. and its the same update. Then when i run the game everything works fine (the begining cut scenes) but when the game is about to start it cuts off and an error popup comes up.
