My two mac computers are linked just fine. But recently every time I try to go on itunes it says that I am signed on with a different Apple ID. I have not changed my ID's in a long time. I'm not sure why they are asking for this. Its getting to be a drag. where I can find my Apple ID and take a look at it in order to see if maybe someone else changed it??

I restarted my computer, and when it booted back up the clock was reset to Dec 31 2000. I did not change the clock, and my control settings are password locked.
Should I be concerned about this, and has this happened to anybody else?
Finder keeps telling me I don't have privileges when trying to move, delete or change a file on my desktop. everything else on my computer works fine and I can change files or folders in my docs or my other folders.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had a 1tb western digital hard drive for over a year. In which time I've used it to capture hours upon hours of hdv footage through fcp on my old macbook, with out any problems.
However I have recently bought a brand new imac and when I tried to set the same hdd as my scratch disk, in fcp, a msg comes up saying "The selected disk is formatted using FAT32 which has a 4gb file size limit." And sure enough when i try to copy a file which has a size greater than 4gb on to the drive "the operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code 0)" pops up!!
First time burning on a Mac... getting pissed - should be easier than this. I fumbled around for a while and now have a "Burn Folder" folder on my desktop with 3.7 GB of files I need to burn. When I open the file, click "Burn", it tells me to "Insert a Blank Disc to Begin" Okay, seems like I'm making progress... until I insert a blank DVD-R (4.7 GB)... nothing. It ignores the disc.
If I insert the DVD-R separate from the burn folder, I get a window asking me what I want to do, e.g. "Open Disc Utility, etc." none of which seem to be remotely related to burning a DVD... I thought these things were supposed be intuitive.... grrr.... I can't believe I've been I'm spending this much time burning a #$*%ing disc!

Today at office we were playing with a little remote helicopter, it was hilarious, in the meanwhile we where browsing on safari, but suddenly Safari stop responding, but hey NO BEACH BALL, and then we started hearing some sound, we thought it was from some flash video on some web page, but then we heard our voices, we were like WTF, and then we heard the helicopter, we were amazed, haha, now safari has new built-in func, "Safari 5 records sounds without telling you", of course we just force quit safari, but wait, it didn't quit, we went to terminal and kill the process..
I just wanted to let you know what just happen to us.
I accidently deleted Safari and now I can't reinstall because it keeps telling me there is a newer version on my computer. The issue is my system does not support the newer version.

I have a DP 2.5GHz PowerPC G5 which is giving me problems. It is on all the time (server). If I try and restart it switches off but will not restar. Also, if it crashes (only happens once every few months) then it will not automatically restart. I have replaced the internal battery but this has not helped. I have also reset the PMU. Any ideas what may be going on here?

I have just shipped my Mac Mini to its new home and I've had reports that the panic error is appearing on boot up: "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the Restart Button." This screen appears on the blue window just after the grey apple screen has disappeared and does not get as far as the desktop at the same point each time. We have tried to reinstall mac OS from the original install disk but holding the "C" Key or the "Option" Key down on restart doesn't boot from disc. Is there a way you can view the Kernel Panic log before you boot into Mac OS so we can try and pin point the source of this problem. I'm wondering if this could have been the result of the shipping that has caused some hardware to come loose.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is a problem I've noticed on two Macs I currently own. First I had my 20" iMac with Vista installed, and currently I have a 24" iMac with XP installed. In both cases, when I'm in Windows and need to restart (for whatever reason) and want to go back into Windows instead of OS X, the Option key does not function correctly to bring up the OS select screen, and instead will go straight to OS X, as that is the default OS I have set up to boot into.
So basically, if I restart from OS X, the Option key works fine and I can choose to go into Windows, but restart from Windows and I have no choice in the matter, it makes me go into OS X. Any idea why?
My first thought is that it has to do with the fact that I'm using Apple's bluetooth keyboard (and mouse), but once the computer has actually restarted, why would it matter? Does the computer remember the BIOS from Windows when it restarts, and therefore fails to recognize my bluetooth? For the record I have to turn my keyboard off then on again when entering windows to get it to be recognized and work, but not the mouse, which works fine.
My Mac book air keeps asking me to restart it..
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using my Itunes on my OS X (Late 2008 Macbook pro 15 inch) and everything is fine and then I am done. I click restart. Everything happens normally it shuts down and so forth but doesn't restart and just stays off. I click the button to turn my mac on again and I hear that start up noise but 1 second later I hear the shut down noise that it makes. And the little button that u click to open your mac when its shut lights up barely and then turns off.
I have no idea what might have caused this and have tried a couple of things like taking out the battery and the adapter and clicking the turn off button for 5 seconds. But no dice. My battery is at full power so it can't be that it just needs to recharge. I really need to use my laptop for work Monday and its Saturday...
