I have a Mac Book back from 2007 with no software updates and I was wondering how I delete my cookies? I see everywhere that you go to Safari-Pref-Securities....but I don't have Securities under my Preferences.
How can I delete tracking cookies on a MacBook, Safari 7.0.3?Will this prevent airlines, car rentals, Expedia, etc from knowing when I repeatedly search their sites for fares?
My daughter's iMac runs OS X 10.6.8. When she selects a cookie in Preferences>Pivacy and clicks Remove, it disappears and then reappears in about a second. I have routinely deleted selected cookies on my computer for years and never had this problem
I try do delete cookies in Safari 5.1.7 with settings to "Block from 3rd parties and avertizers". Most cookies can be deleted, but there is one named 194] that I delete and 2 seconds later it reappears in the cookies list. I tried to search the mac for 194] but nothing comes up.
More than 100 cookies instantly reappear. I tried emptying cache. I tried deleting individual cookies. I changed the setting to always block instead of just third party. I changed plugin settings and auto fill settings. I don't know what else to try. Still, the cookies persist. Â
My next previous computer was a powerbook circa 2003, and I got it up to 10.4..and I could easily manage cookies, see what they were and who from- AND when Isaid block them it WORKED.What the **** is going on with this bit where they offer a block 3rd arty cookies and from advertisers - chcek box, but it STOPS NOTHING?
For some time now, Safari has not been saving my cookies. Or to put it in different words, every time I access my email, or gmail or Facebook or twitter I have to login again. It is getting quite frustrating now.
I'll be switching from a PC to a MAc, and it just dawned on me that there are a number of cookies on my computer which I would like to take with me. I find some cookies to be very valuable. Some sites, I want to remember me; such as, banking and some shopping sites. Also forums and other places which have passwords and can remember me, or can remember where I've been on the site. Is there anyway to take those along? My procedure is to copy everything I need to my external drive and then copying from there to the Mac. I don't think I'll have much of a problem finding out where things should be put; so, I'm not using any automatic migration assistance or plugging the two computers together.
Once I am done clearing the cookies more websites that I have not even gone to start loading again ! If I download Do Not Track Plus will that keep this from happening ?
Everytime I quit the Safari, it automatically deletes all my cookies data, even though I ask it not to. In the settings section it seems ok, cause I checked in the check box to save my cookies.
Can't keep cookies out! Certificates were an issue until keychain fix. Now use 32 bit/rosetta. How do I get a full 5.0.5 without reinstalling 10.6.8? I updated to 10.6.8. Had no problems with 10.6.7.
