Does anyone know how to remove 360 Controller Driver Daemon from the Startup Items on an iMac?I downloaded this so I could use an Xbox 360 wireless controller for Onlive but since downloading this I get a conflicting driver error when I load up Onlive.I thought I'd deleted this from my mac but I can still see this sitting in System Information/ Software/ Startup Items but I can't remove from here. It does not display in my System Preferences to allow me to remove from the Startup Items?

When I boot my MacBook Air I get this message, twice.Insecure Startup Item disabled
/Library/StartupItems/Intego Backup Assistant” has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings. How do I disable these messages? Intego is no longer needed and most files have been deleted.
I just fired up an older mac g4 for the first time in over a year with a different monitor then I had before. The problem is that when booted up I cant see the dock or the menu bar at the top on the monitor. my finder window opens but I cant open any apps. Or if I do they don't show in the monitor. I have tried several diff monitors, same story.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an old MacBook, model 1, 1. It is running OSX 10.5.8. I am getting messages telling me my start up disc is almost full and I have to delete files. I am not sure what this means, or what I can do to avoid deleting files. Is deleting old mesages in Mail be enough? Do I have to delete applications? Maybe I need to bite the bullet and buy a new computer?

This might be a "silly" question but here it is: I get this message: your startup disk is full. Do I need to delete files? What there is to do ? Where to look? Is it normal, my Macbook is getting really hot?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAbout a month back my computer started to take longer to turn off. it was about the time when I did a disk repair. So about a week ago I started to look to seee if there was a reason for it to be taking longer to turn off. When I open the console application, it shows that something that has to do ith google ( think) tries to do something. I'm going to post a picture here. I have search for daemon and google and deleted anything that i found, but it still showed the message so I put eberything back. Like all of the messages in the picture are from the computer just doing nothing, except a few for screen shots. Most of the messges are exatly the same. It is three messages that repeat every like ten seconds. The computer works fine and everything but i just found it wierd today cuz i left it on for 3 hours ad when I came back it was not sleeping and when I checked the console aplication it showed so many messages for every ten seconds and my computer is supposed to go to sleep after 15 minutes. Oh, I have a 2006 Macbook pro that has a Intel core Duo and runs with snow Leopard.

Sometimes when I restart my machine running 10.5.8 my desktop background appears but my dock, top menu and desktop icons do not appear. If I force a shutdown and restart, everything comes up normally. This doesn't happen every time I restart, but it has started only recently. I've repaired permissions already.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI decided not to keep the Trend Micro Smart Surfing program after my subsription expired. Well I deleted by dragging it into the trash can. It's been over two months and every time I start my iMac it pops up on my menu bar and tells me about my expiration of service.I emptied my trash can, but no luck. I have tried reinstalling the program thinking there may be some uninstaller program I needed to use, but it tells me I have to delete the current version first. I have searched in spotlight and in finder, but no trend micro or smart surfing shows up. I don't know what to do anymore, but it is a pain to have to deal with that program after I deleted it.

So I downloaded a drive program of a Razer mouse and I realized it did not work. So I deleted it.
But the problem is that it left a icon on my menu bar and I have tried the holding command and drag thing. It doesn't work..
I upgraded to OSX Lion and my only issue so far has been after a restart the airport icon and battery/power (time remaining icon) do not load in the menu bar for anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute after the desktop has loaded. I will be get an IP address and establish a connection but I am unable to use the airport menu bar prefrences until the after I wait for the icon to load. It's rather annoying when I need to select a particular wi-fi SSID after startup.
Completed PRAM reset, disk repair, and disk utility verification.

2 or 3 times recently the clock has been flashing and the apple menu text has been split up on starting. I've rebooted and the problem has gone. I'm using a G5 with OS 10.4.11. Might it just be needing a new battery?

I just jailbroke my iPhone 3GS and installed MyWi to work with my iPad. I also tried it on my MacBook Pro using Bluetooth. After I paired my iPhone and MacbBook Pro together everything worked fine. Now under the Airport Menu I see a separate category labeled "Devices" which is just below where my Home Network is.
My questions is how do I go about deleting this? I've tried everything. I deleted my device under Bluetooth Preferences, quit MyWi, messed around with the Network Preferences and it still appears under the Airport Menu. I even clicked connect but of course that doesn't work since I quit everything and deleted the device in Bluetooth settings. It's not even listed under "Preferred Networks" when you click on the advanced tab. It appears as "(my last name) Hotspot" and is under a tab labeled "Devices"
I had LogMeIn installed on my iMac and it worked fine for a while. Then the icon for the program in the menu bar at the top of the screen went gray. When I hover the mouse over the icon a spinning pinwheel appears, so I can't click the icon to start the program. I deleted the program and then reinstalled it, but the gray icon and spinning wheel never whent away. how to delete the spinning wheel

my DELETE functionality within finder is not working consistently anymore. I am only seeing this issue on my new MAC BOOK AIR (used for work and received just last week), and not on my macmini (that is also running Lion and I've had for a year).
Basically, I am having problems deleting files using CMD + DELETE. I hit this command and get the typically apple "ping" sound for a something that isn't working, however I can right click and hit MOVE TO TRASH and it goes immediately, which means it's definitely not a file permission/in-use/lockout issue.
I feel like I did something stupid to cause this, but it only doesn't work occasionally. I have noticed it moreso right after I open or have used a file, but while CMD+DEL doesn't work, the MOVE TO TRASH does, so i'm lost.
extremely frustrated and I've been through my System Pref settings alot in case I turned something off.
