I'm a bit of an audiophile sitting in my home studio listening to music. I just switched to mac and was wondering if there's some music application that can play music files in a suberb quality through a 24-bit soundcard.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a MacBook Pro and have always used PCs before that. I'm looking for a simple music player that is like WinAmp on PCs. I know that most people use iTunes but I don't need so many functions out of a music player, all I need is something that plays my mp3s, .WAVs, etc without all the fuss and deal with simple playlists.
View 8 Replies View Relatedo iTunes is no "GOOD" music player - iTunes is yet another player that can only handle a few file formats/codecs and cause of that is utterly bull.

When I try to play any of these or download new songs I get error message -45054. I have checked and have shared folder in Users which I understand is important for iTunes. I am running OSX 10.9.4.

For some reason, when I go to listen to a band's music on MySpace, the player will load and play the music, but it won't show the song titles, and the little visualizer thing on the player all moves as one big blue block, rather than looking like a waveform. I downloaded the latest version of Flash, and I'm having this problem with both Firefox 3.5.5 and Safari 4.0.4.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had to reset the region on my DVD to watch a film I bought from Amazon. When I changed to region 1 I was warned I could only change the setting one more time after that. Later I attempted to change the setting back to Region 2 as all my other films are on this region. The warning came up again "this is the last time you can change this setting". That was fine because I had no intention of changing it back to region 1. But as I tried to change the setting it gave me an error message 'error: -70001' What does this mean? I still have one chance to change my settings back according to the system as agreed but it wont let me. What can I do? I havent used up all my chances and yet I now cant watch any of my DVD's.

I've made a slideshow (about 24 mins) in iMovie and 'shared' it onto my desktop. I've tried to burn it to dvd (+R) lots of different ways but all failed. I have iDVD on my MAC and am using Mavericks. I'm putting it down to 'pilot error' or possibly my age!

I am trying to transfer all my music over to another hard drive and everytime that I try, I get "error code-61" about 1/4 to 1/2 through it. I tried copying to a different hdd.. same problem. So I researched it, turns out its a permissions problem. When I try to run Disk Utility on the drive with the music it does not allow me to verify or repair the disk. I was thinking about trying to do the transfer in windows.

So had just sent in my MBP with dead logic board. Got it back. Everything works great except all my purchased music on iTunes needed to be re-authorized. No problem, I know the password. (By the way the account is an AOL account) So I type in my password, it recognizes it as being correct but would like me to update my account for use with an Apple ID. This is also fine (although I remember doing this a few months ago already. Whatever I'll do it again.)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI took my laptop in yesterday because there was dust inside the screen and they replaced the whole screen and top. However, it now pops open when I pick it up. I'm a student, so it gets carried all over the place in my backpack and I can't have it popping open all the time. It's not upside down or anything, its just when I pick it up. I am leaving to go back to school in a week and I can't drive the 1.5 hours back to the mall again. What can I do? Duct tape?
Also, if I have a campus authorized retailer, can they do repairs?
