MacBook Pro :: Strange Noise While Watching Youtube/vimeo?

I have strange beep/chrr noise from up left corner of my macbook pro i7.

This is happening only when I am watching youtube/vimeo or something video over flash player (10.1). I tried HW acceleration on/off and still this problem.

Later I noticed this problem is only with Safari, when I use Firefox or Chrome problem does not exist.

Reinstalled flash, cleared all caches, still there.

By watching .flv in VLC, QuickTime or Movist also nothing... My safari is 5.01 version.

MacBook Pro :: Gets Warm When Watching Youtube Full Screen?
Is it normal to expect an almost brand new macbook pro 13" to get slightly warm when watching youtube fullscreen? It gets to maybe 60 degrees or so, as far as I can remember iStat saying. But I can definitely feel heat along the entire front part of the keyboard. Also, my battery is only at 94% Health and lasts about 6-7 hours running mainly basic things (Adium, Itunes, Google Chrome). It's at 6 cycles now and I have had the computer for about a week and a half. Should I be worried? I have already calibrated the battery.

MacBook Pro :: Watching Youtube Video In Full Screen?
was wondering if when your watching a youtube video or anything that makes the nvidia 330m kick in do you experience a lag when hitting the full screen button? I have the graphics switcher/indicator program installed and whenever I go to full screen it goes from intel to nvidia and there is a good 1-2 second delay from clicking the button to going to full screen. If I force 330m to be on at all times the lag goes away. This seem normal? You would think Apple would have ironed out this kink. It makes my computer go from feeling snappy to slow when my netbook can full screen faster.

MacBook Pro :: Computer Made A Strange Little Noise And Shut Itself Off?
I was using my mac all day today for homework and such, when all of a sudden it made a strange little noise and shut itself off. I tried turning it back on, but absolutely nothing happens. It was plugged in at the time, and also had a full battery. The lights on the side that tell whether or not the computer is charged still light up, and they all say it is fully charged. But no matter how many time I push the on button or how long I hold it, nothing happens. I've had this computer for only a few months, so what the heck happened?

MacBook Pro :: Strange Noise Coming From HDD Or Board?
I'll just copy/paste the description on my video. [URL. My MBP is going nuts. This happens when I start it up. I've already gave it to my local Apple store and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and told me to install the OSX on a fresh install. I've done it 3 times since last friday. Sometimes I cant even get past the login screen, it hangs itself up at the blue screen. Is it the HDD, a fan or the whole Board that is singing its last prayer?

On MBA Rev2/SSD after watching 3-4 minutes into a video, on a flat wooden desk, in the new "Watch in HD" format which is suppose to be 720p, the fans rev to 6200rpm and temp at 80C. Mind you I am still in safari and not watching YouTube's full screen mode. And recovery times for the fan to slow down even when it's back to 50C is a bit long. Is this normal behavior for a Rev2?

MacBook Pro :: System Making Strange Noises / Noise Increase When Notebook Is Moved
I have a June 2010 17" 2.66 i7 UMBP. This is going to sound really silly and I do not really know how to describe it correctly, but it has begun to make lots of strange "Tapping/Clicking" noises. It happens quite regularly when the notebook is stationary but increase whenever the notebook is moved.

I am familiar with the hard drive clicking noise but this is totally different - it kind of sounds like a small metal ball-bearing inside a small, thin glass sphere knocking or clicking against it's side or like tapping a small thin glass object with something like a thin metal rod.

I am sorry for the poor description but that is the best way I can describe it & know I must sound like a complete idiot but I am not very savvy to computer issues but I hope someone can identify what these noises are if if they mean that something bad is going on.

MacBook Pro :: MacBook Pro Very Hot When Watching YouTube Video
in October 2008 I bought my MacBook Pro Unibody (Details in my signature).

Since about 3-4 month is gets REALLY hot really fast, also the fan is very noisy now.
Now I can have my MacBook turned off for the whole day, then turn it on, watch a YouTube video and the fan is going nuts and it gets really hot.

I made sure that the MacBook is on a flat surface, like a desk, but it still gets very hot. I can't even have the laptop on my lap anymore or else I would get burned through my jeans.
Another problem is, that the fan is so loud, when I use my internal microphone with skype, people say they can't hear me cause of the noise!

When I touch the surface of the laptop around the ESC keep, I think I could actually cook an egg!

Here's a screen shot of the tempratures after booting up and watching YouTube for about 2 minutes.

The temprature goes above 80 Degress as well, depending if its on my lap or the desk. And yes I made sure that the back of the laptop is not covered.

MacBook Air :: Strange Noise When The Screen Is On?
Since I plugged my Cinema Display (20" alu) to my MacBook Air... I hear a strange sound inside the computer.

It comes as I guess from the graphic card, or the power, because when I turn off the screen (by putting down the brightness at its maximum), this time there is no sound anymore. When I turn it on, the sound restarts (by being high when the brightness is down, and down when the brightness is at its maximum).

MacBook Aluminum :: Strange Noise As Fans Vibrating Too Much
I have a late 2008 aluminum 13inch Macbook. When I turn it on, the usual apple sound comes on then a strange noise, this continues for about 3-4 seconds - it sounds like the fan is vibrating to much (although I'm really not sure) and its quite loud. Nothing happens until I try to play music, or load a big file, then the sound appears again- and continues until I plug my headphones in. As soon as I plug my headphones in the noise stops, but when I take them out it starts again.

MacBook :: Snow Leopard Causing Loud Fan Noise When Watching Video?
Are others experiencing this? I'm having issue getting a good solid answer after googling for quite a while. Some of the threads I have read also lead to no end result.

When I watch any videos, no matter what it is, after about 2 minutes my black macbook heats up and then run at fan speeds of 3600-4800rpm and it's super annoying and hot. As soon as I turn off the video, it cools down back to 1800 RPM and runs at 62 degrees. Sooooo odd.

I went to the genius bar and the guy there said that it is probably due to the fact that Snow Leopard takes advantage of the dual-core processor. I don't understand why it needs to utilize this processor where as it never had an issue on leopard before I upgraded.

I've also read that reloading the OS doesn't seem to help. Is this a common issue? Should I go back to Leopard?

I've only noticed that expose` is a little bit fancier on SL but other than that, I do not notice much of anything that is different.

MacBook Air :: Keys Not Light Up And Strange Whirring Noise
I got my MacBook Air last October. A month or two ago I was getting a strange whirring noise much like a hard drive spooling up, and this was happening every time I used the computer. Remote Desktop Client Update
Airport Base Station Update

Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 5

Now I have an annoying hum noise, that could possibly be the fan.I have run Disk Utility, but the annoying hum noise remains. Does anyone have any suggestions before taking this by an Apple Store. This was intended as a Christmas gift for my wife. Can anyone spare me the embarassment?

MacBook Aluminum :: Strange Noise On Connecting Audio Monitors To Sound Card
I recently buy a pair of audio monitors (high resolution genelec) for music production. I also got a sound card and the drivers are working great. The problem is that when I am connecting the monitors to the sound card I get a strange noise from the monitors, the only way to stop this noise is to unplug the power adaptor. When I am plugging it again I get the same noise. This strange noise (its like you hear electricity pass through) does not appear in my old low resolution monitors. There is nothing wrong with the sound card, I tried the monitors without the sound card and I get the same noise.

Also I tried a friend's power adapter and the noise didn't appeared. Lately I am also connecting my external display on my macbook (with the dvi-VGA adaptor) and I also noticed some glitches on the external display that is hard to been seen (its like you can see electricity pass through the display but it can not been seen easily). When I unplug the power adaptor the glitches dissapear. It is possible that the power adaptor could corrupt the macbook?

Mac Mini :: Watching YouTube Videos On HDTV?
It seems that music videos and tv episodes on YouTube have a high view content and I was wondering if watching these videos on your HDTV via a Mac Mini is a pretty good substitute for purchasing a physical DVD of these videos? I have a new Mac Mini with a built-in HDMI port and a video card that supports HDTV resolutions. Should I hold off buying music video DVDs and tv box sets and instead start to purchase them off iTunes or watch them on YouTube?

I don't currently own an HDTV but will eventually purchase one. If I want to start doing what I've described above, will I need to purchase a device (like a splitter) from my cable modem company, which is the same as my cable tv company, to connect the incoming cable lines to both the back of the tv and the computer in the family room? I currently only have one physical cable modem connection for the computer in the bedroom. I've never used a wireless connection and am not sure how they operate but I'm concerned about security issues with it regarding people driving by and people able to snoop in. I'm sorry if this is a basic question but I am still "old school" when it comes to technology.
