I will not have internet coverage for a month and need to stop my inbox being overwhemed by mail in my absence. So far I have not succeeded in finding a way to opt out of reciving ASC e.mails.

Being a recent convert from Windows and Outlook, I'm struggling to keep track of my emails on my Macbook Air as related messages get grouped together and stored under a single item. Is this setting configurable in some way and, if so, how do I manage it?
For the last few weeks I've been getting unsolicited email from "iTunes <itunes@new.itunes.com>". Is there anyway to stop this? There is nothing on the email that says to be taken off or at the iTunes prefs.

Does anyone know how to stop Mail from retrieving all of my emails, basically when I set it up it always starts to retrieve all of my emails from my Gmail account, I probably wouldn't mind but I have about 30,000 emails and that takes up a lot of space.
In the last six hours, I received hundred of spam emails. The iMail on my Macbook Pro is just receiving these emails and I can't figure out how to stop them. I even don't receive emails from anyone (or I am not sure if I am receiving them because I select all emails and delete them).
I tried to check iMail preferences hoping that I can find something but nothing has happened.
What I mean is that the link will open the browser (which ever one is set as default,) but the browser opens to the home page instead of going to the page specified by the link in the email. it is not because I haven't set a default browser.
I am using OSX 10.9.3 on mid 2011 Macbook Pro. I am working in Apple mail and e-mail thru a google account and a pop3 account.
My question is: How do I stop, copies of my (as I am) composing e-mail, from showing up in the mail trash. I can have as many copies in the mail trash as the number of words in my message. I have looked thru the mail, apple support (non fee based) and thru FAQ in communities.
I bought my macbook pro about 10 month ago and I have started facing a few problems. When I tried to search my receipt I realized that I already lost it. it is possible to go back to apple store and get a copy of my receipt ? and will they repair my macbook pro if I don't have the receipt ?
I am new to Mac-have recently migrated from PC to a dear little MacBook. This may be a server problem, but thought I would ask. Suddenly my inbox filled up with 1500 old emails (3-4 months' worth all marked "unread"). Have I inadvertently done something?
How do I sync my emails on my phone with the emails on my Macbook Pro, so that when I delete items off my inbox on my phone it will automatically recognize it on my Mac? Rather annoying having to see the emails on my Mac again after deleting them all.
My MBP has this issue every once in a while where I have to hold the power button and force shut down. Randomly the volume keys/brightness etc. stop working and i can't open apps or shut it down normally. Everything still works though (can still function in open applications) Anyone know what the problem is? It fixes when I force reset.
I've searched this issue online, and it seems Mac Mail doesn't let you confirm that an email has been received. Is this true, there is absolutely no way to do this?
How to generate an acknowledgment of receipt with MAC mail (Snow Leopard)? Some times it is very important not to contact a person (that is at the moment not available), but to know if he has got or read the mail !!!
I was thinking about buying a small scanner for general scanning, and then I heard that there are scanners aimed specifically at scanning receipts and business cards. This seems like a great idea (for archiving receipts and tracking spending, as well as filing tax returns), and I was wondering which scanner you recommended. With general scanners I've had in the past I've run into a lot of bad luck with drivers and scanner software not getting updated as the OS got updated, meaning my scanners became obsolete very quickly.
