When I change an item in my calendar, my Macbook Pro sends me an e-mail message. I'd like to turn off those notifications. The calendar is saved on I-Cloud.

I cannot seem to get my iCloud calendar to stop sending email notifications to others for every single event I change. I've tried unchecking the box that says "email me when this calendar has changed", to no avail.

Whenever I update anything on my shared calendar, all those who subscribe to it get an email/notification about what I've changed or added. Same if someone who I'm subscribed to updates anything on their calendar, I get an inbox full of emails telling me they have done so. Am I able to stop sending these update emails/notifications? And/or is there a setting to stop receiving these update emails/notifications?

My coworkers and I share numerous calendars using icloud. Recently we have began to receive a deluge of email notifications for every change, tweak, or addition made to the shared calendars. We have been using shared icloud ical calendars for over 8 months and have never had this issue until it started earlier this week. My email inbox has become literally overrun with ical notification emails.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMine is only a month old after being replaced due to a fault and now after the IOS 5.1 update it freezes when I try to unlock it and it has also frozen at the end of a call meaning I couldn't finish the call. I had to hold both buttons to reset it which doesn't always fix the freeze the first time.Also I have noticed that all my calendar notifications on the dashboard have gone too. No matter what I do with the notifications in the settings the calendar won't appear.

Just downloaded it right now and it's excellent! However, I notice a possible flaw in which whenever I receive a message from someone, it will notify me on both my Mac AND my iPhone! As you might imagine, it's pretty annoying given iMessages are flying through on my Mac. I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop iPhone notifications when messaging on Mac. I hope this feature will be added in ASAP from Apple if it doesn't exist yet!

How can I "mute" my whife's calendar? I want to see it, but not receive her reminders and notifications. She has the same problem, she don't need to get a pop up every time I have a meeting. Is there a way to "mute" shared calendars?

I keep getting MobileMe password errors in iPhoto and it won't accept my current working (in iCloud, iTunes, etc.) password. I saw an article that said I needed to migrate from MobileMe to iCloud in System Preferences but that option does not appear for me. How can I stop the error window from popping up and making my iPhoto app icon bounce in my dock demanding my attention?

My wife and I subscribe to each other's ical calendars via iCloud and it's been working fine since first set up months ago. Suddenly today, she got a ton of emails after I updated and added a bunch of events in my calendar. This hasn't happened before today. Neither of us changed anything and I know I made similar updates in my calendar earlier in the week that didn't generate emails to her.

When I originally set up iCloud, I was using Google mail. I have now migrated my calendar and email to iCloud and have migrated all third party accounts to use my icloud email address for mailshots, notifications etc. All that seems to be remaining is Apple's own discussion pages. It seems I cannot get notifications sent to anything other than my original gmail account, is there any way to change that? I have a forward on gmail so it's not a massive problem, but I would prefer to take gmail out of the equation completely now.Â
It still seems very strange to me that an Apple user's primary email address cannot be an Apple owned domain (as per their list of rules in the AppleID section). I have my icloud address as an alternate email address so at least it does allow me to log in to icloud.com etc., using that icloud address.
I've recently changed service provider for my exchange (now using 2010 on PC and and outlook for Mac2011). I had been using 2003 and my iphone synched fine and also updated the server when I deleted emails. Now I have several issues. When I upgrade the software on my iphone it duplicates contacts and some calendar appointments. Also whilst emails I delete on my Macbook air update the server, my iphone isn't updated and also if I delete things on my iphone they don't delete on either machine. (This use to be fine on earlier software and before I had the Macbook). My iphone wants me to update to iOS 5.1.1 but both of the last times I've updated the software it duplicates appointments and deletes a whole load of contacts off the server. Am wondering whether it's because despite settings changing it is holding history of the old account.

Installed Mavericks yesterday over Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and have had a host of problems that have paralysed my computer use. The most irritating problem has been that I use the glass chime for my calendar alert. Well, it won't stop ringing--it's like a button's depressed and stuck in that position. It renders the audio unusable now, which means no VOIP calling or audio of any kind as I'm forced to keep it on mute. My mouse is fluttering all over the place.

When I want to add both the name and location of a place for a Calendar event's location (say, the name and address of a restaurant), Calendar and/or its integration with Maps will auto-complete the address. But when it does, it removes the name, and only fills the address.Â
Almost every time I then try to manually enter the name, it still changes it to address-only when I save it.Â

I use my Mac Mail to send my personal emails... However I also use it to monitor my work email. However, when I use my work Gmail account to send multiple messages either on my phone or on my computer through Gmail, whenever I go into mac Mail I have 40+ copies of the emails I sent. I tried to look in the setting if there's something that disables this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLike Outlook, but not Outlook And not Entourage. I tried it and it's sooooo slow and does not have nearly the feature set of Outlook. I know outlook is coming to Mac with the next Office release, but I can't wait that long. Perhaps it's just being a lifelong Windows user and being tethered to Outlook for the past 10 years or so. I have been using the native Mac tools (Mail, iCal, Address Book) since I got my MBP about three months ago and I'm getting frustrated. They are all perfectly good independent apps and they do integrate nicely, but they just aren't as powerful as what I want. Especially in the to-dos category - way too wimpy for me! Moreover, I am really tired of having to flip between apps and have 3+ windows open for something I am used to being able to see in a single window. In a perfect world, I'd like it to have iPhone sync as well, but if I can at least get something better on my desktop, that would be better than nothing.

This did not happen before we recently upgraded our phone software, maybe thats involved, maybe not. am having trouble trying to get my iCal to sync with my Google calendar. I want it so when i make changes to either ical or google calendar it automatically updates the other one. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
i had looked at the option to publish my iCal calendar but when i click on calendar in iCal to choose "send publish email" it is greyed out.
I have 2 email accounts setup in Mail - 1 is an iCloud email and the other is a Gmail account. All the email for the Gmail account ends up in Junk on a daily basis. How can I get Mail to not do this? The email isn't marked as Junk by mail but simply ends up in there.

I was wondering if there is a way to stop Mail from download 3 years worth of mail from my Gmail account, and just get the last few weeks or few months. I took the Gmail account offline in mail after the first 1000 messages or so. I went through all the Preferences options and menu option, but maybe I missed that setting.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried sending out an email with Mac Mail that had 82 iPhotos attached...it wouldn't send which is fine because I found other means to send them on a different computer. The problem is that the same email I initially tried to send keeps resending over and over again and is hindering being able to get incoming mail. The photos have been deleted off the computer, and I have repeatedly tried to delete the email and move it to trash, and empty trash.....but the email keeps resurrecting and trying to resend.
