MacBook Pro :: Screen Was White After Powering On?

I bought a MacBook Pro Unibody a month ago. I had the stock 250GB HDD inside of it. I replaced it with a 320GB WD HDD. The screen was white after powering on, and wouldn't get past that stage. I put it inside an external enclosure and strangely it booted up and allowed me to install Snow Leopard. I took it to the shop and they said the hard drive was faulty ?!? so I'm looking at it now and it's working cause i'm writing this post now.
The question I have is in regards to returning to the store tomorrow. Should I leave the inside of the Mac hard drive less and carry the hard drive with me in the enclosure tomorrow? Or should I leave the hard drive inside the computer and then have them open it up and diagnose the drive? I am looking for the quickest way possible. I wasn't sure how apple would look if I brought the computer in without the drive... I just want to show them how crap of a job they did and show them the drive works fine.
I've begun to notice a ring, roughly three inches in diameter, in the middle of my Air, Rev C, Screen. It is a white ring, a couple of millimeters thick, that I can see best behind an all white screen, i.e. a blank page of a word processing document.

Anyone seen anything like this before. I can actually see part of it right on the white of the page I am typing in this thread.
So my 20" 2.4 Imac crashed on me twice tonight. A box popped up telling me to hold down the restart button for several seconds to restat. The second time I did this it just sits with a white screen and give three loud beeps over and over. Is there a fix for this? Is it my ram? I'm at a loss.
My step mom has an iMac. The first gen intel one and the other day out of nowhere there was a white screen with a folder on it and now when you go to start up the iMac the screen just stays white.. What would be the cause of this and what should I do to fix it .. thank you
I was using my ibook just now, when suddenly, the screen went black, as if it were sleeping. I don't know if it was sleeping, but it would not wake up. I turned it off, and tried to turn it back on. But when it comes on, I just hear the fan. The apple logo does not light up. I'm not sure what's wrong.
As a new user of Yosemite I noticed that after powering up my iMac, there is a download bar on screen. This happens every time and I would like to know just what its doing...?
When I go to front row, all my video content plays sound, but the picture is just a pure white screen (shows the slider to move chapters, etc., but the screen is just white).
Any ideas for solutions? I did google searches, etc., to no avail. I have a MP (not early 08), which I upgraded the graphics card to a 2600XT, and it's running Leopard.
so i go to turn my imac on tonight and it makes the normal noise when it always turns on but the screen stays blank(light blue)....after about 2 minutes this little picture of a folder with a question mark shows up in the middle of the screen. it keeps making this clicking noise as well. ive tried unplugging everything and restarting it here is a pic of what the thing that pop ups looks like [URL]
there are two things that the macbook is doing to me. one is that sometimes when i move the screen up or down (the hinge is rather stiff) a white (thin) line flashes across the screen. but recently, while randomly browsing through the internet, the screen almost... i guess faded to a gray screen, but like gradually, and not like a kernel error, like the display just faded away. happened twice in a row, did a battery pull and now wont do it again.
My screen just started to occasionally have a flicker of a white line show up...It doesn't happen that often, should i worry? Is it worth taking it into apple? (Under warranty still) Since its not consistent i wont necessarily be able to show them what its doing..
My mac screen is frozen with white fuzzy lines going across the screen. I shut it off and turn it back on but it still remains white fish lines on the start up screen. I've tried revolting it, it works sometimes but now its stuck at the starting screen. I have been at this for 2 hours to try and fix it but nothing has changed about the screen.
I have a Macbook Pro late 2010 model and it suddely gets a white screen and the only way to fix it is to restart it. After about an hour of working the white screen comes back. I re-installed snow lepord (not clean install) and that seemed to fix it for about a day but i just got another white screen , any suggestions into fixing this or finding out the cause would be great as the closest apple store is about an hour away and no that accessible. I dont have to be touching the computer for it to do it which makes me think its not the logic board.
This morning I noticed a soft white spot on the lower left corner of my Macbook. It's not a dead pixel. I've seen those before and this is different. This spot only shows up as a light spot when the screen has a light background. On a darker screen it totally disappears. The spot is a few mm in size and. I've examined the top of the LCD case and it's smooth. The Macbook has not been dropped in anyway.
I just installed a new 750GB HDD into my Late 2008 Macbook Pro. I turned it on, and now theres just a white screen with a cursor that I can move around. I tried putting the OSX install disc in and holding down option, and that did squat...What do I do?
When working on my Mac, some times the screen fades up and goes white. The current window becomes invisible and unclear. Most of the time I have to position my Mac against the wall or against someting hard when I am working.
My MacBook screen has started to black out. I have to click the brightness button to 0 and then click to 3 bars to see/read the screen. Any higher brightness blacks out the screen within seconds.
I just got my macbook pro in march. Yesterday, the screen began to occasionally freeze (but other things like audio would continue to play) and slowly get brighter and brighter until it either turned completely white with a few small black stripes, or revert back to the regular screen and function normally. It has been happening more and more frequently recently.

We clicked on a pop up request to update software. Then screen went white and computer will not respond or shut off. how to return our computer to normal.
My macbook pro is stuck at a white screen and doesnt boot. I tried resetting, tried to safe boot by pressing shift, nothing works,. It is stuck in white screen.
I had been having the spinning cursorĀ that wouldn't go away. A few days ago I updated my Macbook Pro 15 with updates. There was 8 all together. One was the multi update for lion. It would say that the file was corrupted during the dowload and try again. This was when i tried to download all 8 at one time. After a few times i noticed it was three files that wouldn't go through. So i downloaded each individually and the updates went fine. i used the computer for a day without any problems. Then when i tried to boot up the next day i got the spinning cursor again, it became hot and shut itself off. I then tried to boot again and now it just freezes on the white screen with the apple logo. Sometimes the logo will go away but stays on the screen.
