I would like to link to another page within the website without that page existing on the navigation menu on the homepage. Is this possible? I have tried using HTML but does not work. I'm new at iWeb. I have 6 navigational pages. 2 of the 6 pages will have sub pages with those sub pages also having sub pages. How do I link each sub page without creating more navigational pages on the homepage? I don't want 12 navigational pages on homepage.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I was persuaded to set-up a "Linkedin" account which I did. To begin with it seemed to be working fine and I steadly started to build up my profile.
But in the past month, whenever I log in, the site just hangs. I either get a blank white page or the browser just never finishes downloading the page.
I've tried Safari 3, Safari 4 Beta, Firefox, Camino and Opera web browsers. I've also fired up Parallels desktop and tried accessing the site through Internet Explorer 7 and the PC versions of Chrome and Firefox. Again, I can't get beyond my Linkedin homepage before the site freezes on me.
I've tried accessing the site on my new iMac, and eMac and iBook on the same network.
I'm using an Airport Extreme base station (UFO type) which is configured to use Open DNS.
I do not have this problem with any other websites and I've done all the basic stuff like deleting cookies, resetting Safari, fixing disk permissions etc. to no avail. Other people I've spoken to (other Mac users) don't seem to have the same problem I do.
Under normal circumstance I would have contacted Linkedin to request technical support, but alas, the contact page wont load!
I'd like to gather opinions of web site designers with a traditional print design background... What do you see as the best software for a beginner to craft a web site that would compare favorably with the templates you'd find at WordPress or Squarespace? I find iWeb clunky, limiting and the designs slow to load. I'm looking for greater customization for a web site that will be photo heavy and text light, and I just haven't found any templates worth a dollar, other than those offered by hosting services such as Squarespace.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a page "Welcome" next to other pages ("About Me"...).
Since yesterday when I open iWeb and click on the "Welcome" name to select the page (to modify or just look at it), iWeb immediatelly quits. The same happens when I follow a link to "Welcome" from another page.
I can access all other pages with no problems.
I tried deleting iWeb's preferences file, restoring an older copy of my domain.site2 file, overwriting iWeb with another copy of iWeb (same version), nothing changed.
This concerns iWeb 3.0 (build 301) on Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Darwin 10.2).
Firefox has this option on OSX (each frame on separate page), but safari seems to lack such an option. I need to print multiple frames (invoices from zencart) each on separate pages. When I try to print with Safari it will either try and print the selected frame, or it will print all the frames as it's laid out on the page (all printed on one page). Am I missing this option somewhere? Is there an extension I can try (already tried print plus to no avail)?

how I can quickly print the first page I am looking at in SafariI cant seem to find an option to print page one of however many there are.
I dont want to have to go:-
Print>Preview>File>Print selected page>Print
as five steps is far too long winded with the amount of printing I am dealing with every day. What I really need to do is to print Paypal invoices WITHOUT them going over to a second page and wasting ink/paper.
With any (!) program on my server, print or even page-setup draws the dreaded beachball.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince updating Safari to version 5.1.3 and later (now 5.1.5) my HP 2605dn printer balks on printing some Web page with the error message, "Document too complex to print" and I have to recycle the power and empty the print queue. This wasn't a problem before as it printed any page Safari sent it. I'm wondering if others are having this same problem with Safari. There are some Web pages I have to print independent of others and some which just won't print anymore.

I recently installed the Dell 1355cnw color laser. I'm running it through my Airport. My iMac sees it just fine The trouble is that it stops printing after one page of every doc. Word. Adobe. Doesn't matter. It prints a page and then beeps as if complete. I've run the Apple updater. I've updated drivers (athough Dell's Mac driver support isn't great). This problem makes the printer virtually useless to me. Ironicially, my Windows based machine (which sees the printer through my iMac works fine), which leads me to conclude it's a driver issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn systems prior to "lion" when I wanted to select and print multiple different imagews per page, I could select the number I desired in "copies per page". Now when I select a number in "Copies per page", I get that number of a single image instead of 1 of each each different image.

For some reason, I can't get this to work right.
It's my understanding that these are supposed to pair up with little effort. Such as just turn on the printer, then add the printer, and I should print. It's all wireless, right?
Well, the printers power button just blinks, it says it's printing, but it takes literally 8-10min to print a page. Does one or two passes, stalls out for 20 seconds, does one or two pass, stalls out.... then, approximately half the time, it just gives up and spits out a half printed page.
What am I missing?
We have an HP Photosmart Premium C410.We using both Safari 5.1.2 and Firefox 10.0.We use a network connection from the printer to our MiniMac.We have been unable to get images (photo's) to print with the rest of the web page which is text (the text portion does print. This does not happen on all, but does happen on most web sites we go to.In order to get the image (or photo) to print, we have right click on it and copy it seperatly onto a WP blank. This is a big pain.We would like to be able to get the picture/image to copy/print with the rest of the web page.Would anyone know what might need to be addressed to get this to work properly.

The printing area is smaller than the page I want to print, 3 or 4 columns are on an other page to the right of the print area that I can print, I am not great on excel but would like to move the printing area so it can take all of it.

For years "Print" opened with the Orientation pre-set to print vertically, which is what I wish to use 95% of the time. Recently my Print began invariably printing Horizontally which I forget to change and I end up with a wasted piece of paper.

When I try to download something from download.com or other websites, it just goes to a blank page and the download never happen, I open the download tab and saw it was blank.
this really frustrating, its the same on Safari and mozilla on my Mac.
I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer!
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.

I have had difficulty in attaching my HP Photosmart C5580 printer to my new MacBookPro (OSX 10.6) through my Netgear WGPS606 print server. After much searching I found previous posts here which advised me to add the Gutenprint driver 5.2.6 which I did. That finally DID successfully attach the printer through the server.
However, there is a lag of many seconds (sometimes minutes) between the SEND command and the starting of the printer. Is this the new normal that I need to expect or is there a fix?
i have a 2010 15" MBP 2.66 ghz i7, with 4 GB ddr3 1066 ram, 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD, and the nvidia GT 330 M gpu. I tend to get down around 30 MB of ram when i am running Starcraft 2. I do not understand what pages in and pages out means. Before i started SC 2 it was like 50k + pages in and 0 pages out. After running SC 2 for like2 hours i have 150k+ pages in and 100k + pages out.I am pretty sure i just need to add some more ram but i would like to know what these mean so i can better monitor my system.

I have been working on a template where I have placed a two column table on the front page, left side being for a graphic for a letterhead, and right side column for text.
My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
