Software :: How To Hide Or Change Ip Address?
Mar 30, 2010Is there a way to hide or change my ip address. I have moved to Mexico from the US and several websites including some shopping and my financial institution sites will not let me do things on the site because they see my ip is from outside the US.
Several sites often open in Spanish even google and it is a drag to constantly try and get these sites back in English.
I have nothing to hide I just want use the internet as if I was still in the US.
Any help would be appreciated.
OS X :: How To Hide Invisible Files On Leopard 10.5.7
Jun 25, 2009On Leopard 10.5.7, I had to unhide my invisible files for some job using the command:
#defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
#killall Finder
I am trying the reverse commands but the Finder still shows files what are supposed to be hidden.I tried:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
followed by a killall Finder and even reboot.
I would like to avoid a re-install. Who can confirm a working solution as some in this forum suggest that the above reverse commands are no longer effective on Leopard?

Dec 18, 2008How do you configure Leopard so it automatically hides all file extensions? I've gone to Finder/Preference/Advanced and unchecked the 'show all file extensions' option, but it does nothing. To remove the file extensions, I literally have to go into each individual file. There has to be some way around this, but I'm new to OS X. As far as I can tell, extensions are showing for most (if not all) file types (e.g. avi, pdf, rtf, doc, docx, etc.).

Jan 25, 2010I've recently acquired a 23" ACD. I've seen the "BackPack" shelf concept that attaches a little shelf onto the metal foot of the display. I was wondering, has anyone come up with a solution to vertically store a MacBook (Pro) behind the display, also attaching to the display (or onto the surface if more support is necessary) in this same manner? After hooking my new ACD up to the laptop, I can't help but think how sweet it would be if my laptop could be tucked out of site behind this gigantic screen.
I guess I'm not really looking for a commercial solution if one exist (as they tend to be exorbitantly expensive, but more for pictures of home-made solutions to this sort of thing. I'm never going to look at it for more than a few minutes at a time, so I could care less how it looks!

The updating of the contact database, as as function of the installation of Snow Leopard, produces/creates/brings to your attention, multiples of some contacts that did not exist prior to the upgrade. Most duplicates or triplicates you cannot delete. Some will allow you to delete one but not the other. You can delete them using MobileMe or on the iPhone but not by using the Address Book.
