I have a MacBook Pro from 2010 and I can't even watch a youtube video, it stops and stops. Video has become impossible so annoying that I have to avoid it. Not the experience I expected when buying a mac. I spent a lot of money on this for a machine to be unable to play any video.

I wanted to watch a DVD on the TV rather than the Macbook. I have an external DVD drive and insert the disc - it plays OK on the Macbook. I have tried then play it on the TV via the Apple TV using airplay but the screen just goes grey. I have used airplay to play a film.

I have this problem a wile now. When I play music (or watch a movie) I can hear there is something wrong with my sound output. It's hard to describe, but is is like someone is playing with an equalizer. The high pitch sounds (voices) are constantly changing in volume. maybe the basses to, but its hard to hear that. BUT, the strange thing is, when I play something in windows (parallels) it is much better... The bass is here more dimmed for some reason.

Can I play a dvd on my iMac to watch on my wifi tv? Can built in Airport send dvd to tv? I actually have an external router connected now, and can stream Netflix on my tv, but not everything is offered streaming. Also, we own some dvds that we'd like to watch. My dvd player is broken and I don't want to buy a new one if I don't have to. I also have an old (1st gen) mac mini that's just sitting in a closet- could that be used as a dvd player?

I have a Samsung external drive from which I can play and view these small discs that are not compatable with iMac. I need to upload from these discs to a New Project or a New Event in iMovie. I cannot figure a way to upload for editing and produce a finished movie. My iMac forced me to get a Canon HF-R100 camcorder with an SD card for the iMac SD slot.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to watch video of any duration, now. Downloaded tv show and slowed to freeze, stills, with audio going forward. I used to be able to. Watching streaming video is also similar, though have the variable of the wireless to factor in. I have one of the original airs with regular hard drive. I turn off virtually every application, but still doesn't work!
View 1 Replies View Related My wife and I have never had a TV and have always watched DVD's on our not-even-one-year-old MacBook Pro and after moving into a house, yada yada yada, we finally purchased a Samsung LN46C630 LCD TV.
Now, we aren't ready to buy a Blu-Ray player yet so we want to continue to watch DVD's on our MBP and hook it up to the TV and watch it from there.
I started having trouble when I go to differant websites. Sometimes the pictures for related stories don't load and I'm left with a small blue box with a question mark in it. If I go to sites like Hulu or Utube and I select a video it doesn't load at all so I can't watch anything at all. I have no trouble watching videos I have in "Finder", they play just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe MBP is such a beautiful machine made of aluminium, that I'd feel bad if I happened to scratch up the palm rests with my watch. When I was trying out a machine in the store yesterday, I noticed I had to pay special attention to weather or not my watch (with a metal band) would scratch the palm rests. Do any of you who wear watches with metal bands have issues with scratches/damage? And no, I won't stop wearing a watch or switch to a band made of silk to accommodate the MBP.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically I can't decided between the 11 inch or 13 inch Air and thats due to the fact of not having any idea if the 11 inch will be capable of handling the tasks that I need. I have a ton of 1080p/720p mkv movies that I always watch on my current early 2006 macbook, that's a must do for my upgrade to an Air. The second part of what I will be doing is having a dump site for my pictures.
I have a T1i and take a ton of photo's nothing professional or anything, but as a poorly touched hobby. I have been considering using iphoto/Aperture since its only 79.99 in the new app store. I am just slightly concerned if the little 11inch can handle simple aperture photo edits, to fix crappily taken photos. The ability to play my movies is the most important issue, the whole picture thing can be sorted out on the Quad core Pc in the office.
Is it just my macbook air that is slow gets really hot fans start blowing and it stutters during any kind of videos i already had the logic board switched out and it is still tripping out i want to throw it against the wall !!!!!
