I do a lot of banking on my computer and I've read that Adobe Flash has a lot of problems. I'm concerned it might affect the security of my computer. Am I the only one concerned about this?

I'm having trouble view YouTube videos. When I try to view a video, it tells me my flash player isn't up to date. But when I download the latest player from the link they provide(which it tells me is successful), I still can't view the video.
Anybody have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Three days ago, I stopped being able to download or view pdfs online. The problem persists whether I use Safari or Firefox and with both Preview & Adobe. I have never had this problem before. Now if I try to view a pdf online, I get a blank screen. If I try to download a pdf, I get an error message stating that the pdf cannot be opened.

Whenever I log on to Youtube or ABC for example to watch TV Shows, the audio is fine but the video seems to play every 3 frames or so. Is there a reason why this is? I have broadband internet and other parts of web-surfing go smoothly. Is my laptop too outdated to play online video?

I've recently upgraded to Lion and have found that Quicktime movies and embedded Flash movies won't work. With the embedded flash all I get is a black box, and with quicktime movies, such as the ones on the Apple website, I get nothing - the irony of not being able to watch movies on the Apple site with my Apple iMac gives me a little chuckle. Anyways ....... I've been reading thread after thread and trying lots of different things but nothing works. I've got this feeling inside that says it's something simple but just can't seem to find it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if it is possible to view the contents of my Time Capsule online? I always bring my MacBook to work and watch videos during my lunch hour etc and it would be nice to connect to the Time Capsule so I have my entire library available. If it isn't possible then I will just continue to pull shows off the Time Capsule back to the MacBook.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have a great DSL connection and a TP-link router. I just got a RAM upgrade hoping that was the problem, but it wasn't. Is my system just not speaking the Java and Flash lingo, because it's old? I got it in March 2006. How come my partner can watch video just fine here on his used PC laptop with Windows XP?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iMac 17" G5 1.6 intel with 2 Gb of RAM. I can watch videos with no problem unless I try to watch one online such as Youtube or something like a video on Fox news. I have a highspeed cable modem hookup through Cox Cable. I have tried switching between the airPort and direct ethernet hookup but is makes no difference. I don't have this problem with my MacBook Pro.

I'd like to view online content on my Samsung 7000 series LED. I don't mean streaming saved content, rather using my TV like a wireless monitor. My iMac is connected wirelessly, and the TV is wired to my router. Is it just a matter of getting something like a D-Link Boxee Box or Slingbox?

Here recently when I've been watching videos on YouTube, The Video will load to a certain point then after that it stops and when the video gets to that point it just pauses and stops. To be able to watch farther into the video I have to keep refreshing my computer every time this happens and sometimes it loads farther, and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried to reset Safari, Deleting cookies, Deleting history, but nothing worked?

Some flash videos and particular sites cause my MBA to overheat and results in choppy playback, but for the most part the temp isn't a problem. Generally the temp is just fine, but as I progress through the video it gets more and more choppy. Eventually it's unwatchable. It doesn't matter how long I leave the MBA to rest/cool (minutes or hours) the playback is just as choppy when I restart.
I'm confused because I thought the playback issue was related to heat
Any ideas? My apologies if I've missed the answer in another thread.
I have a Macbook and a new HGTV...I want to watch movies etc. from my mac onto my TV. I got a mini DVI-DVI and a DVI-HDMI cords...they plug in fine, but nothing happens....is there a setting i'm supposed to change...or what is the problem?....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've never really had a problem with my macbook, but for the last two weeks or so, I can't watch any Flash videos like YouTube. It'll work for about fifteen or so seconds and then the whole thing will start skipping and the whole computer acts choppy. Firefox (or Safari) CPU usage spikes, and the computer gets really hot. Then I'll have to wait for a minute or so for the macbook to cool off before I can use it. I've tried downgrading from Flash 10 to Flash 9 -- no better.
