Whenever I click on a video clip to view it tells me I need to install Adobe Flash Player, which I did, supposedly successfully. However I still can't view videos from the internet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running Lion 10.7.3 on a early 2008 Intel based Mac Pro. I cannot play most internet videos. No error message with Safari. Firefox notification indicates Adobe Flash crash. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash over a dozen times. I have also reinstalled Lion. My other Macs (iMac and Mac Mini) have no issues. I recently upgraded my graphics card to a Nividia Geforce 8800 Ultra 768MB. I have no issue playing my own video materials be it home movies, DVDs, or downloaded videos. Could their be a conflict with the graphics card driver and Adobe Flash?

I can't view any videos on my MacBook Pro without Adobe Flash and it is not available through Apple App Store. I do a lot of banking on my computer and I've read that Adobe Flash has a lot of problems. I'm concerned it might affect the security of my computer. Am I the only one concerned about this?

A couple days ago my mac book pro (with snow leopard) stopped allowing me to play videos. An embedded video in an article comes up as all black or missing altogether (a large white space in the article). If I go to YouTube, the "screen" is black.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTried bringing up a 2 minute QuickTime Tutorial on Apple's site with my new iMac set up connecting to the Net with a Dial-Up Modem.
However, after the video very slowly loaded it would stop after the initial few seconds of a start-up.
Does this mean it is impossible to view Web videos using a Dial-Up Modem?
I'm experiencing problems when watching videos on apple site. I have sound but no image, when watching trailers and tutorial videos(on apple.com) and etc.

Two things: (1) I am unable to view YouTube videos, even those I posted previously and (2) videos friends email to me. Does this have anything to do with the recent malware affecting Macs? Do i need to update Java or disconnect it? Is this an Adobe Flash problem?

I have a Mac G4 10.4.11 and (for some unknown reason) as of today i cannot view any videos online... just black rectangles... sometimes nothing at all. I'm running Flash Player 10.1.102.64 (the latest compatible with 10.4).

I have installed Peruin, update QT for snow leopard and updated to the latest flash player.....any suggestions. I "got info" on safari and told the application to open with rosetta. there were a number of other programs that I needed to do that for so I thought that would work...but nothing does!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a good ol eMac with 1ghz processor, 1Gb RAM and Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11. I would like to watch youtube videos and just surf the web. But when i go to watch youtube videos they are all choppy and glichy. I dont watch them in HD.
Is there any way i can watch them like in a different player. It does not matter if they are not in HD i just want to be able to watch them smoothly. I have also installed flash player 10 and nothing has changed.
I am not able to view any videos on my mac laptop. I can't view videos on youtube, comcast, or any other website and I have no idea why. I was able to 2 days ago and now I can't.

(ex: Working with Core Data, Implementing Push Notification). Certain videos appear to download but when I try to play them, the download starts again. I have "downloaded" the same video 5 or 6 times, and it still won't play.
Other iTunes video downloads from iOS Development Resources work without any problems (ex: Ingredients of Great Apps).
Specifically: if I am in iTunes, and navigate to iTunes U, then select the iOS Development Videos category, I see a list of all the videos that are available. If I click the little "Get" button for many of the videos in the list, the download process seems to work perfectly (I see the progress of the download in the header section, and it all looks normal). However, as soon as the download is complete, the "Get" button reappears and the video listing looks just like all the other videos that have not yet been downloaded. If I attempt to play the video (select it, and click the Play button) the download starts all over again. I have found one video that actually downloaded, and can be played.
Is there a setting that controls this behavior? I haven't been able to find it.

Rented 3 movies last night from the iTunes store. Download began and ended just fine. When I tried to view one of the movies, quicktime opened with this message: "QuickTime Player is not authorized to play “Clara's Heart.m4v”. In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes" So, I tried to open with iTunes, and discovered that I couldn't.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro with a 20" ACD. Whenever I full screen view something, like say with VLC or even a web browser video, I lose functionality on the other screen. It never really bothered me until I realized I needed the multi-tasking. Is there anyway to keep functionality on either screen when the other is in fullscreen mode?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble view YouTube videos. When I try to view a video, it tells me my flash player isn't up to date. But when I download the latest player from the link they provide(which it tells me is successful), I still can't view the video.
Anybody have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
I thought I fixed it with a wireless-n router and it worked perfectly till now. I was loading videos on youtube in seconds with no buffering and fully loaded, and could stream even 1080hd videos on there and other sites no problem. Now the MBP is going slow again, like there's this lag when browsing, and I can't even watch youtube videos anymore unless their 240p as anything else buffers every couple of seconds.
It's not the internet, as like I've said before I have an pc in another room across the condo on the wireless network and its blazing fast browsing and watching/streaming videos. I've seen other post about this lately and really leading me to believe these $ MBP just suck on wireless networks, b/c I can be right next to my router and no changes... and my girlfriends cheap netbook can stream videos faster with no buffering then my expensive piece of aluminum.
I saw someone else say enter this for DNS and I had already done that, so is something screwed up here?:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
and Search Domains next to that says: domain hsd1.fl.comcast.net.
Im using time capsule and MBP trying to watch hd videos on youtube . Its running to slow and wont keep up with the videos. What can I do to make it faster. Or is it my macbook?

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play videos nothing appears except a message saying Missing Plug In, no videos will play on any site. A pop up window sometimes also appears on safari saying "Flash Player (Safari Internet Plugin) quit unexpectedly". I installed chrome after I identified that videos didnt play in safari but videos still didn't play. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing flash which did nothing! I'm on a 2008 macbook model 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM on OS X 10.6.5.
