When I try to play a game on facebook, it only loads half of the screen like so... I've tried clearing out my browser, updating adobe, resetting safari, clearing out cache and cookies. Nothing seems to be working.

Safari 5.0.6 won't load Facebook onto my Mac G5. It will load all other sites and if I log onto Facebook from another computer it works fine. Facebook has worked fine until about 5 days ago.

If I have 2 tabs open in safari and try to open 2 facebook games like farmville and hidden chronicles I get the coloured wheel and safari locks up and I have to force quit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with Facebook on my safari browser. The thumbnail pictures and profile picture will randomly not load. Hitting refresh may or may not fix the problem sometimes. I'm not too sure what causes this, I've done lots of searches and I haven't found anything similar to this. I'm running Safari 5.0.3 with adblocker as my only extension (I've disabled it and the problem still occurs).

What happens is that when I'm viewing my Facebook news feed and start scrolling down the page (it then automatically loads new posts) my news feed "jumps". In other words, in doesnt keep in order and it jumbles me up back to stuff I've read.
In other words, somehow, loading the new posts causes my Safari to forget where I am on the page and take me somewhere else. Has anyone else experienced this?
The safari loading wheel is constantly spinning when facebook is open...Software is all up to date (The macbook is only 1 day old) and I've tried rebooting.

Over the past two or three weeks, my Safari has bogged down. It will load most Web pages just fine, but YouTube, Google and Facebook just won't launch. I managed to use it to download Firefox and it's working great. Safari is still a no-go.

I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.

At the beginning of last year I bought a 3.2GHz 27" iMac. About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.

I can log into Hotmail, Gmail and Facebook on my Macbook, using Firefox or Safari, but then that's it. The pages stop loading and I can't do anything like read a message or post a comment. All other websites work, so it's not an Internet connection problem. I've erased cookies, cleaned out my cache, changed my MTU, DNS, etc., but nothing works. I've also scanned for spy software and found nothing, which leads me to believe the problem has to be with my Macbook/operating system.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a MacBook and just upgraded my OS couple of days ago from 10.4 to Snow Leopard 10.6.1. Well actually my husband did it for me (Im not great with the technical stuff lol) and tells me it wasn't a clean install but that Apple didn't state this was necessary. Anyway everything seemed fine until I tried to access any of the online games I play from time to time on FaceBook. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the apps I'm talking about but basically you have 'neighbours' and can gift items back and forth, well all my neighbours in all games have disappeared and I have disappeared off their lists too. I found out that Adobe had vanished during the upgrade so I have now installed the latest version of that but although this enabled me to see one of the games I still don't exist on them!! The other games just wont even load - all very strange. Why should a change of OS effect online games anyway? I'm hoping that someone can tell me what I should do about this.....I know that Facebook games aren't particularly crucial but it's frustrating me not knowing why this has happened.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am Having some issues with Safari (I am using 4.0.5), if I open up a website the screen stays white like it normally does for a sec to load a web page but the loading icon keeps spinning and spinning and spinning....... until I click the "X" stop icon and reload the web page. As soon as I click the reload icon the webpage loads up instantly, it is getting really annoying and would be great if anyone has a fix. This doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen frequently and then be fine for a few web pages and then start up again.

The main page of most sites (e.g., [URL]) will load fine, but then when I go to, say, the Schedule page, the content is WAY off the right side of the screen, and there is no scroll bar on the bottom to scroll over. If I then search for a word that I know is on the screen that I cant see (e.g., the), it will find the word and display the page, but still not centered and partly off the right side of the screen. I've searched here thoroughly, turned off pop up blockers, and tried everything, and no luck.

It was flaky after the upgraded to 13.0.0 but resolved that with flushed caches, disk utilities, rebuilding the launch services etc, and I could still access it using Chrome.Having upgraded to 13.0.1 it is not responding to treatment. Have uninstalled Firefox completely - including all leftover files - and reinstalled: still nothing. It's running happily on Chrome under 10.6.8 so I know it's not a connectivity issue through the router.Obviiusly not the app, not the connection, only common areas are the computer itself, which seems to be running happily enough, and maybe something in OSX that has been affected?

I have a MBA 13" late 2012. It was working fine and suddenly one day exactly left half of the screen went bright and right half was normal.There was no drop, nothing. It's exactly straight half line in between the screen. Where left part of the screen is brighter.

I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..

I recently upgraded to a Macbook Pro 15" with a mini displayport, and I decided I would share my LCD monitor with my windows box. The desktop box is connected with DVI and I have connected my Macbook through an HDMI adaptor from Moshi. Everything works very well, and I'm pleased with the quality of the output, but I'm having trouble with a screen flicker in full screen games.
When I select full 1080p (1900x1080) in any full screen game, the screen "shudders." It does not occur on the OS X desktop, and I can only explain it as a shudder. Lines and text shift perceptively left and right, and the game is unplayable. I have experienced this problem in Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft, and Half Life: Episode 2 so far.
Could the problem be with my monitor and the way it handles an HDMI signal? The Macbook is flawless otherwise, with no other issues of any kind. The "shudder" only occurs during full screen games set to 1900x1080. Lower resolutions are not effected and work fine...
I'm stumped.
Edit: I should add that I have no other 1080p capable devices to test the output with.
The screen on my macbook (07 White 13" Macbook) is only displaying the top half of the screen.The bottom half is filled with colored vertical lines.On occasion it will clear up partially but mainly stays this way. I have reset the smc and pram. I have also disassebled and reseated the connection on the back of the lcd screen only.I have not reseated the connection wher it goes inside the computer body itself.
