So just in the past couple days the quality of my outgoing ichat/skype video isn't good according to my friend. but the quality of her incoming video is normal/great. i got a new router yesterday, cause our old one was dying and i kept getting kicked off, but the problem still exists. 2 days ago everything was fine.
i've fiddled with the bandwidth preference in ichat and the streaming thing in system preferences-> quicktime.
Is there a means to copy all incoming and outgoing email through the Apple Mail server to one inbox? As an example, Bob sends and email to Jeff and receives a reply. I want a copy of each of those emails to, say, info@company.com. Is there a means within the server config or some other method to accomplish this?

I'm having such a hard time syncing Gmail with Apple Mail now that I've done a fresh install of SL. First of all, in Gmail Settings, the instructions for setting up Apple Mail are for Apple Mail 3.0. But the Apple Mail with SL is 4.0. The instructions say to "Check the box next to Automatically set up your account." Pic of what I'm talking about: But my Apple Mail does not have that check box: Once it's setup it says it's supposed to look like this: Notice that it's POP and not IMAP? And in mine, once it's "automatically setup" it's IMAP and not POP: When I leave the settings as is, and try to send and receive mail I keep getting an error that says something like "Can't send mail on outgoing mail server". And when I change the outgoing server to POP I get the same error. I've tried everything, I've setup and deleted this e-mail account from Apple Mail at least 4 times now and I keep getting the same error.

I have clicked on the outgoing message "X" but it continues to send.
The default signature in outgoing messages from iCloud is "sent from iCloud". I can change that on a new email but that will work only once; in the next email the signagture is again "sent from iCloud". Is it possible to create a new default signatute? Is it possible to create this new signature in color?

I want to add a new account to my mac mail I allready have two accounts working my third one can receive email but not send
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have 4 accounts set up 3 aol and 1 yahoo. Â
they are all having problems one of the aol wont update all my new mail and is like 5 days behind. it used to but doesnt now. Â
i try and send emails from each of them and none of them send it comes up with outgoing server problem and its driving me nuts. Â
just want all my mail accounts set up so i can send and recieve from them all i feel like deleting the mail app and just doing them all manually but why should i this is one of the reasons i wanted a mac!
I tried sending an email this morning. It was addressed to about 220 people, all BCCd.Â
When I hit send, I got the message:
Cannot send message using the server Gmail [it's a gmail account, obviously]
The server "smtp.gmail.com" did not recognize the following recipients:
Big list of every email addressÂ
I couldn't get out of this screen, so I force quit.Â
Now that message is still in the Outbox, and every time I try to open Mail, it tries to send that message again, and I get the same error message.
I ended up going onto gmail.com and just sending it from there with no issues.Â
I would like to delete this message so it would just stop crashing Mail, but I can't figure out how to do it.Â
I'm running 10.7.3, the version of Mail is 5.2Â

I need to send a mass email to all of my iCloud contacts. I select the "+" sign to add email addresses to an outgoing email. Do I really have to check the "to" box on all 700+ email addresses? Or is there a way to "select all"?

My prob is that I have directed my gmail and my office mail address both to my mac mail. I get all the messages and my office account exists as well, but when I respond to a mail that came into my office account and I reply to it, my gmail address is seen as a sender address, not my office one. What can I do? I have already put my office email in the outgoing add. and the smtp field.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have some screenshots which I would like to paste directly into an outgoing mail message. I am NOT talking about adding it as an attachment, and am NOT talking about simply adding an icon within the message which the recipient must then click on in order to open up and see the screenshot. What I am talking about is PASTING the screenshot/picture directly into the body of the mail so that the recipient can see it right away the same way it can be done in Outlook. I have seen up to this point completely misses the mark by explaining how to add an icon (which needs to be clicked to be seen) within the mail rather than answering how the image can be shown in the message itself.

I was able to set up monitoring incoming mail with sender_bcc and that seems to work when mail is incoming and BCC's to a 3rd party to check the mail.Â
Now for the person sending an email to a person outside the organisation. Need to do that because the company has been made aware that emails have been sent out to the opposition.Â

I've noticed a problem with my mac mail. The number 1 over the mail icon comes up to show I have a new mail, but upon clicking into mail to see it, who it is from and the subject line is there, but it takes 20-30 seconds for the mail to download. This is happening across all email accounts, coming from a mixture of imap and pop accounts. I've also noticed in my activity monitor that my amount of free system memory is very low (dropping to under 50 meg when I have things open). If I install more system memory, do you think this will solve the email problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a @me email address and have also two email aliases connected to it. Now all mail is downloaded in one inbox (of the main @me mail address). I would like to have that email from the alias addresses is marked as that (or maybe put in a colour) or is in another inbox folder.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe SMTP server I use for sending email had been working fine up until about a week ago. Although no changes were made to my setup, now virtually every time I send an email, I get the pop-up "Cannot send message using server xxxx".
When click on "Try with selected server" (the same server), it will then usually send okay; sometimes it takes an additional attempt.
Is this some keychain issue or something?
I've deleted the SMTP server and re-entered all the info, but it's still happening.
The SMTP server is the one from my ISP, so they should be okay with it.
I can receive mail without problems, and reply without problems, but when I try to compose and send a new outgoing email, I cannot find the send button, unless I go to the main tray in mail and click send. The icon does not show up in the toolbar options.

I have suddenly been deluged with apparently undeliverable mail sent elsewhere but returned to my email address from Hotmail. I am neither a subscriber/member of Hotmail, nor of Windows Live. How do I simply block a sender from my email inbox? With the PC there was an ability to name senders, but I cannot find the same on my iMac.Â

I am losing random incoming emails in my .mac email address. I first discovered it last week when my wife was getting emails that I was copied on that I never got. Checked inbox, trash, junk, iCloud and never could find them. Then today, just by chance, I had to verify a link via that email address. When the verification is sent, I see it hit the inbox with the new email counter and then it immediately disappears. I have disabled all my Apple Mail rules and Smart Mailboxes. As I mentioned, I have checked everywhere I could think of that it might be going.

I have a 2nd gen white Macbook (2,1) that my wife uses for only email and web search (I have moved on to Macbook Pro). Her Macbook is running very slowly. I've looked through these forums and found snippets of advice. I did the Mac Hardware Test, Extended Test, and it says nothing is wrong. There's 1mb RAM, a 2mb processor, and 59gb of storage left. She has only two programs at the most open at one time. I'm lost as to what's making it run slowly. Would bumping the RAM to 2mb
