MacBook Aluminum :: Can't Proceed Past "Enter Your Apple ID" Page After Syncing From Old
I just received my new aluminum macbook and hooked up my black macbook to it last night to transfer my files/info overnight using migration assistant. This morning, it looks like the migration has been successful, but the new macbook seems to be stuck on the "Enter Your Apple ID" page. I have entered my ID and password on the new machine as prompted to do so, but both the "Go Back" and "Continue" buttons at the bottom of the window can't be clicked on. Does anyone know what gives? If I turn the machine off and on again, will I have to start my sync again from the beginning?

MacBook Pro :: System Lock Not Responding?
I read a few posts and articles before i ordered my new i7 MBP with HR matte display about some of the models sometimees froze all of a sudden, now it seems mine has this same issue.. 3 time now, since i got it on the 25th of May. 15 min ago i was sitting and responding to a thread on Facebook, then out of the blue, everything stops repsonding. System is running, mouse is frozen, nothing i can do but to hit the "big button" and restart the entire system. Loosing any work that i might be doing is actually the worst scenario since im a photographer.. Anyone experience these random freeze ups too ? And last but not least, what will Apple do a about it when i contact them in the morning?.. Replace it or let me cancel my purchase and if replaced, how long does that normally take? (Bought it through Apple Store).

IMac Intel :: Question Mark On StartUp ... Using Startup Prefs Lock/Unlock?
I have an on-going problem with my my intel imac running 10.6.2. Here's a typical event sequence:

1) Just before shutting down at night I check Startup Disk Prefs. It states "You have selected MacOS X 10.6.2 on Macintosh HD". The padlock is locked.

I then shut down from the apple menu.

2) Next morning I power up (no keys) and get the blinking question mark.

3) I power down with the power button.

4) I power up with the power button (not using any keys).

5) It powers up fine. I check Startup Disk Prefs. Reads correctly but the padlock is unlocked. I leave it unlocked and change nothing.

6) I shutdown from the apple menu.

7) I power up (no keys) and get the blinking question mark.

8) Go to step (3) ... and repeat the sequence. Happens every day. If I do a Restart from the apple menu it finds 10.6.2 on HD, no problem.

MacBook Air :: System Enter To Endless 10.5.6 Update Mode
I downloaded the 10.5.6 update for my MacBook Air, and I installed it. In the middle of the process, the leopard aurora screen vanished, and it was replaced by a dark grey coloured screen, somewhat blueish, with a spinning wheel. It's been like that from over an hour now. I'm afraid to force quit, because I haven't brought Leopard Restore DVD with me, although my Time Capsule and iMac are here. I was running in battery mode, and had almost 2 hours left. Could that be it? Sleeping mode while installing the update?

MacBook :: Will Not Boot - Antivirus Hung Up And Lock System
I have a macbook with OSX 10.5.7 and 4gb ram. Having fallen victim to the current scare tactics out on the web, I downloaded and installed PC Tools's iantivirus. All went well with install. About half way through the initial system scan, iantivirus hung up and locked my system. I had to do a hard power off with the power button. Now, my mac will not boot past the Apple logo. I don't even get the spinning wheel. I have booted to my install disk and ran disk utilities and everything checks out ok. I reset the pram and removed the battery and power supply and held the power button down for 10 or so seconds. Nothing. After several minutes, the system restarts and the cycle begins again. I cannot get into safe mode.

MacBook Pro :: Caps Lock Key Won't Work / Substitute For Caps Lock?
I recently bought a replacement keyboard on ebay for my MBP and just installed it. It's been about a week, and just today, I noticed the capslock key doesn't work.. I'm not sure if it has been this way, or if it recently just stopped. The light doesn't come on at all.

I was curious if this was a common problem? If not, is their anything I can do as a substitute for caps lock? Another key perhaps? Or, a button on the task bar or something?

3. After replacing the power input should I also scrap the MagSafe power adapter?

Mac Pro :: Are There Extra 4-pin Power Connectors?
I bought a PCIe eSATA card for my Mac Pro and have installed it, and the system sees it and I'm able to install drivers, but disks aren't showing up when i plug them in.

There is a 4pin power connector on the board as well, but I think that's just so it can power external devices via the 2 power plugs it has on the back.

Are there extra 4pin power cables inside the tower, or a place for me to plug some more in?

Who knows how to interpret a Kernel Panic Report? I have been having recurring KP crashes on my 2009 Mac Pro Quad 2.66. It frequently happens when attempting to restart or shut down the computer, at the last second, after it goes through its shut-down routine, it will KP freeze. Snow Leopard :: Can't Authorize To Unlock System Preferences / Sort It?
Since I upgraded to 10.6 (which was the easiest upgrade I have ever done) everything works perfect with the exception that when I try going to the system preferences to change disassociate the remote with the MBP it's all greyed out and it won't let me change anything. So I go and click the lock to allow me to make changes. Then I see beside the lock "Authorizing". That goes away and the lock stays still leaving me with no way to make changes.

I was able to: sudo -s in a terminal window.

I can still install programs that require my admin password.

I even ran the permission fix in the disk utility.
