I have a problem with my magic mouse, whenever the mouse is connected, I am not able to connect to the ineternet via wi-fi.When the bluetooth is off and I use a different mouse everything is ok.
Do u have any idea what could it be, or how to fix it?

I have moved to a new place and I was able to connect my imac and mobile devices to the internet via WIFI but not my macbook pro. I have tried all the suggestions I have seen here but didn't work. Such as: turning off and on the airport, restarting the router, renewing DHCP lease, entering all ip data manually, deleting the network and putting it back, etc.

I don't know what's wrong with it.My ipod touch connects just fine and yet when i try to connect my new macbook it won't allow me to connect.I've never owned a macbook - so i have no idea how to fix this.

I'm running OSX 10.5.8 on a Macbook Pro, and today I've been unable to connect to the internet via ethernet or wi-fi, unless I'm in safe mode. Then everything seems to work as it should, which makes me believe that this is a software issue rather than a hardware problem. I've tried making a new account with administrator priveleges, but that doesn't solve my issue. Does anyone have any advice on how I can connect to the internet under my normal user account, rather than in safe mode? I should note that I won't be able to get my hands on my repair CD or perform a clean install of OSX because that stuff is at home, and I'm in college. Also, I'm at a university and don't have a router. I just use the campus-wide wi-fi. Finally, my roommate has no problem accessing the internet in our room via ethernet or wi-fi, but I do. I have the 13" Macbook Pro mid 2012 model and for some reason the wifi status bar would show full strength however when I open up Chrome or Safari the webpages won't load at all. I'll get a message saying something like "can't connect to Internet." I first thought it was my modem but all the lights are lit up and it shows I do have an Internet connection. I get the same problem with my ipod touch 4g as well. Only on the ipod's side it will try and connect but fails to do so at all. So I have two devices that fail to connect despite an existing Internet connection.

My father made a wifi network for our house. When I got my Macbook Pro in December 2011, I had no problem connecting to it. As soon as I turned on my computer, I was automatically connected. However, for at least 2 months now, I am unable to connect to my network. When I try connecting, a message will pop up saying: "Unable to join network, Connection timeout occured." I talked to someone from AppleCare, and they told me since my router to the wifi network was not from Apple, I would have to unplug the router and turn off my computer. Then wait 2 minutes or so, and turn everything back on. Is there anny way I could try connecting to my network without turning off my computer?

I can even select network diagnostics and it walks me through steps where I choose my network, reset my cable modem, base station, etc. and at the end it says it is unable to fix the problem. i have a 2nd MBP that I use on the same network with no issues at all. This issue started showing up about a month ago but did not happen often. Most of the time it happened when I had shut my MBP down since I had to go take it with me to meetings. Often after removing the battery for a minute I could boot up and it would work but now no matter what I do it won't work.

I notice when hard wired I get settings of.
IP: 192.168.2.10
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
When not Wired I get
IP: 169.254.209.184
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
(I renewed DHCP lease and get the same)
(I entered all the IP and Subnet manually (same as wired settings) but it still would not connect.
I also tried re-install os X, as well as resetting my modem and setting my home network back up.
My macbook connects to my wifi connection which is secured without any issues. However it wont let me connect to the internet. I keep getting a message on the airport icon that has an exclamation point on it that says "no internet connection available." Also, when I open up the network settings under the airport settings, it says self assigned ip address can not connect to internet. I have no idea what is going on because all of my other computers and xbox is connecting to the internet just fine. I already tried to restart the router and the modem and I also emptied the cache on the macbook. I tried to call Comcast but they were not very helpful.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my 6 month old Unibody has had an issue for a while that it drops the internet connection, though keeping the network/WiFi connection. It started out just on campus where there is a campus wide SSID that is unencrypted, though requires a login to start browsing. A restart of the computer fixes this issue, though it always repeats itself (usually after 30-45 minutes of browsing, no downloading). Lately, the issue has been getting worse. It is now dropping the connection on other APs, and even stops the Airport card altogether (KisMac can't even scan). I had a backlight bleeding issue fixed by Apple. Is this connected? I know the airport card is in the screen, so maybe they didn't fix it well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt my uni campus they have wifi everywhere, but when you connect to it (which my mac does automatically) you have to go in through a login page before you can use it. How can i get it to login once it connects to the wifi (i do use other wifi connections which dont require login). There is no wifi password (just the login page). Other than for ease of use, the other reason i am doing this is because i am setting up my cam to take pictures of a thief if my mac were to be stolen (then upload to ftp). The more auto connected internet - the better.

There are 2 other computers in the house (Windows based, don't know if that's go anything to do with it) and they both connect just fine.

I have a MBP that will not connect to the internet. The airport shows an ip, but shows failed for internet and server. I have another laptop, desktop, ipad 2&3, iphone and 3 ipods connected to wifi and work flawlessly. I called the ISP and spoke with them for about 2 hours and they say all settings are right, and they can even see the MBP on their end. Wanted to add, i cannot connect with ethernet either, wired directly to modem by bypassing router.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend's MacBook (OSX 10.4) recently decided to not access the internet. I have a Linksys wireless router with 2 PC's connected (via ethernet). She usually connects to the router using her built-in AirPort. But, a couple days ago, she was surfing the internet and clicked on a page, and she got the whole "You are not connected to the internet" window. Usually this is no big deal, just a quick power cycle for the router and we're back on track. This time is different. Not only does she still see the router (192.168.1.1), and can access it, but even when she's hardwired via ethernet cable the Macbook can't access the internet.
I love tech'ing things out, and am a real geek for troubleshooting. But, I can't figure this out for the life of me. My other PC's can connect wirelessly, and surf the internet with ease. But, her Macbook seems as if it just doesn't want to access the internet.
I have an AirPort Extreme for almost a year now. I have never had any problems till today. Suddenly all devices in my home were not able to connect to the internet except my MacBook. I tried resetting and even restoring the AirPort Extreme but nothing has worked. The only thing recently that has happened was that I updated to OS X Yosemite Beta but that was days ago.

Everytime I open up my lap from its sleep mode and try to connect to a website it says, Unable to connect to the Internet. My network connection shows an active connection to the access point. I know the problem is the DNS. When the system is in the state of saying it can't connect to the internet I can both ping my local router, and through an IP for yahoo.com into the browser and have it resovlve.Â
Once I start my system and let it wait for 30 to 60 seconds it will finally work. For some reason the DNS is waiting for a while to kick on.Â
I have some trouble connecting to my wireless network using my macbook air. The problem is, when ever I go to my homepage which is google it shows the webpage but then if I went to search for something it shows " safari can't open the page" and I went back to my homepage it won't work again! showing safari can;t open the page.

There are several PC users in the house able to connect, but my iPhone and MBP are unable to establish a connection. Stranger, is that when I plugged into the ethernet, my laptop was also unable to connect using the "Automatic location." I setup a new location and was able to use ethernet, but wifi is still not working. I used to be able to connect to the network and as far as I know no settings have changed. I've tried resetting the cable box, wireless router and the computers, and I also tried dumping all network related preferences I could find.
