Dec 3, 2008How come when I play online games like world of warcraft on my mac air the videos look just plain awesome but when I try to see a youtube video it looks soo bad its depressing??

Applications :: Quality Uploading IMovie Video Onto YouTube
Jan 27, 2009I have tried uploading directly from iMovie to YouTube using the preset and it looks absolutely horrendous. I have also tried exporting into NTSC quality and the "large" preset and they both still look terrible. The video I am using is imported DV from a Sony Handycam, it's not that great of camcorder but when I watched the videos on my TV it looked fine. What is the root of this problem and how can I fix it?

Oct 28, 2008I'm not sure how to fix this problem guys... I tried this in three different browsers (Safari 3, Firefox 3, Camino). When watching a video on Youtube, it always defaults to standard quality. When I click on high quality, it gives me an error message saying the video is no longer available. I sent my friend a link who opened it in his Safari and it shows the high quality one. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

But when I use a video converter to make it 1280x800 (the highest resolution on my 13' macbook pro) it just stretches the movie so the quality becomes worse. how to make these movies full HD or Blu-Ray and change the aspect ratio so the movie takes up th whole screen.

Well I didnt' read the fine print and BAZINGA! I noticed that it comes without a video card.
So For video editing, watching hulu and youtube and netflix What do you guys recommend.
I do have a PCI GEforce at home with 512 megs for PC and I was wondering if I could flash it and if so, does anyone know of a good walkthrough?

I tried watching HD youtube videos on the highest end Air (rev B 1.8 ghz / 128 ssd) and on the lowest end Macbook and Pro. I let the videos fully load before watching them to eliminate variances in network lag. Please do the same if you wish to verify the results.
The MBA stuttered every few seconds throughout the video. The MB and MBP unibody machines were able to play the video without stutter. CPU use on the MBA fluctuated between about 130 - 170% while it was about 130 - 140% on the MB and MBP according to activity monitor. What are your results with rev A and rev B MBA machines on the following short HD video? Does it stutter for you or are you able to watch the full video without any stutter? Apr 8, 2009How can I get the best quality video? In the past in different programs I have made the movie into an .avi and then imported that file into a DVD program is this the best thing to do? The quality settings on iMovie and iDVD are a little confusing. Also, is there a way that you can fit the finished DVD to disk, im sure I have seen this in the past, this would in some cases achieve the best it can do depending on the disc size. On my finished product, the menus (made in iDVD) are a little jumpy, would burning the disc at a lower speed make it easier for DVD players to handle the DVD. Also, while we are on the menu.... I set music to it, but it would loop acording do the looping on the menus, is there a way to make the audio play through even though the menu/images are looping? I have also mixed video and images in the movie, the photos don't really look great, I made a Ken Burns type slide show which is separate to the movie and that looks not bad, but the actual images that are within the movie pan quite badly and aren't as sharp as I would have hoped. Is there something I need to do differently on this? Just thought also, when importing on iMovie 09 is the quality not so good, I have heard that the best is iMovie 06. Is there any truth in this?

It's a 2nd gen Black MacBook with 2ghz processors, 2 gb of ram, and an upgraded WD 320 GB HD. Is this thing about to take a dump on me? Is the motherboard on its way out? Is there any chance of fixing this thing? It seems the only thing my computer is good for theses days is doing light browsing on the internet. (read light browsing = no flash and no html5.)

May 12, 2010was wondering if when your watching a youtube video or anything that makes the nvidia 330m kick in do you experience a lag when hitting the full screen button? I have the graphics switcher/indicator program installed and whenever I go to full screen it goes from intel to nvidia and there is a good 1-2 second delay from clicking the button to going to full screen. If I force 330m to be on at all times the lag goes away. This seem normal? You would think Apple would have ironed out this kink. It makes my computer go from feeling snappy to slow when my netbook can full screen faster.
