I'm trying to import a cd to my mac air from my pc. downloadedAbout the Migration and DVD/CD Sharing Update. The mac recognized the pc and the cd , but fails to play or import it. i get the message the cd could not be found.

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I can no longer import P2 footage. I get the stop sign and error: no data.In the import window I can play the clip and everything is fine, but when I add to the clip to the import queue it just times out.
Any thoughts? Is it somehow related to Quicktime being updated by Snow Leopard?

I recently purchased an MP3 album from Amazon, which downloaded fine. Unlike previous times, however, the Amazon Downloader app didn't load the music into my iTunes library. I tried to manually add the album to my iTunes Library, with no luck. I was able to load the album into my iPhone Music app by dragging and dropping on my iPhone device in iTunes (after turning off iTunes Match).. If I double-click on the songs on my hard drive, they will play in iTunes, but do not import.Â
I am running Mac OS 10.7.3, iTunes 10.6.1 (7) and have iTunes Match active on my computer.

I'm just about to take delivery of a new iMac 24" that will be running Snow Leopard. It will also have Aperture 2 on it.
My question probably is a stupid one. What is the best way to import all my pics from my old MacBook that has Aperture 1.5 on it? This old MacBook is backed up always to an external firwire drive which I can in turn hook up to the new iMac. I'm assuming (= hoping) that Aperture 2 will just have some kind of import option that will do all the work for me. Or is this too much to expect?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith PCs, I was used to importing pictures to my hard drive and then viewing and editing them with whatever software applications I wanted. With my Mac, I notice that when I insert my SD card, iPhoto starts and asks me to import, which I agree. Unfortunately, it imports the images to an iPhoto folder that I can't easily access from another program, such as PhotoshopElements. I have read how to use Finder to navigate to these imported images in the iPhoto library ("Show Package Content") and then I copy the folder of images and paste it to a folder in my "Pictures" directory in Finder.
I find this tedious and also redundant as I now I understand I basically have two copies of every image, one for iPhoto Library and the other for accessing via other programs, such as Photoshop. Is there anyway I can simply import images straight to a folder on my hard drive? Also, if I do choose to access these images via iPhoto, am I correct in assuming iPhoto will automatically create a duplicate folder, just for accessing in the iPhoto library? If so, isn't this a waste of hard drive space? Can this be avoided?
When I try to do this using itunes sync, I get the message that my iphone will be replaced with macbook ibooks and that is not what I want to do. I want to do the opposite. I tried downloading different things from my Macbook and it does to " downloads" whereby when I do the same thing on my iphone it goes straight to "ibooks" like I want it to.

It is all very well suggesting that Audiobooks can only be downloaded once, as has been mentioned by a discussion pundit. However this was not in the Terms and Conditions from 2008, of which I have a copy.
