MacBook Air :: Cannot Import Cds To Itunes Error Not Privileges?
Dec 4, 2010
i just got my macbook air with the super drive.I am trying to import my original cds into itunes, butit does not let me, cause it says i dont have the privileges
or something like that. NOTE: this is my first mac, second i have the itunes media in an external hard drive, if anything has to do with it.
Do anyone knows why this massage pops when I'm trying to import file to the library? "Attempting to copy to the disk "Data1" Failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."
So prior to my snow leopard update everything was working fine. Than I installed SL and ever since than I cant down load anything at all from the store.
The message I get says the following:
"there was a problem downloading (insert name of movie or whatver here). You do not have enough access privleges for this operation
I have my MBPro and am set up as the only account on the computer and it is set up as admin. I have checked absolutely every box to enable me to install items; but each time I do try to install I get the error message
The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items.
Hope someone might be able to help. I am attempting to copy files from a USB attached to my iMac external hard drive to my new NAS drive system, which is connected through my Airport Extreme by gigabit ethernet.I know the NAS is using a file system that I do not recognize (its a WD ShareSpace, 4TB/3TB Raid 5 NAS), which could be causing the problem. Basically I am attempting to transfer all the files stored on the USB external to the NAS. When I copy all the files and paste them to the NAS through Finder, I get an error saying it could not be completed cause I have Insufficient Privileges to do so. There are thousands of files to go through, but I have pinpointed two folders that are causing the problem, which themselves have thousand of files.
I have done this a million times before, making me wonder if there is a limit to the number of photos that you can have in your library?(Currently, 24,637 photos) System: just upgraded to iLife '09Mac Version 10.5.6 Same camera, same process... But won't import photos as it says there are issues writing to my iPhoto library.
When I drag some MP3s into iTunes it will sometimes at first say "importing" at the top as if it's working, but then show this error. After it happens iTunes won't import anything at all till i restart my computer.
I have just bought a new macbook and am very pleased with it. I am having a problem with iTunes. I have two accounts on my computer (mine and the wifes). I have an iTunes folder in my public folder which is accessed by both accounts. My wife has subscribed to some podcasts which have been placed in the folder and are visible to her account, and download onto her iphone. When I subscribe to a podcast on my account it attempts to download and then states: 'You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.' I have amended the access privileges for the folder to shared and read / write for both accounts.
When I try to drag music into iTunes to add to my library, I get the following message: And before you ask, I already tried both repairing permissions and restarting.
I recently put all my itunes music on an external hard drive. Got it working ok and deleted the files on my computer thus freeing up 200Gb or so. I could still play my music ok and the playlists / covers there as expected. Then i tried to add another album and it said unable due to my access privileges? Now my itunes is taking forever to open. 30 mins and counting. How do I change the privileges settings on my external disk for me / and administrator and do I need to do it at the music folder, the itunes folder or on itunes on my computer?
I recently purchased an MP3 album from Amazon, which downloaded fine. Unlike previous times, however, the Amazon Downloader app didn't load the music into my iTunes library. I tried to manually add the album to my iTunes Library, with no luck. I was able to load the album into my iPhone Music app by dragging and dropping on my iPhone device in iTunes (after turning off iTunes Match).. If I double-click on the songs on my hard drive, they will play in iTunes, but do not import.Â
I am running Mac OS 10.7.3, iTunes 10.6.1 (7) and have iTunes Match active on my computer.
I just install new boot disk SSD. And move home folder to HDD. Every thing is fine. But when I open itunes this warning pops up- do not have enough access privileges for this operation. My HDD can't verify disk permissions it greys out. Perhaps that hdd is not bootable disk anymore. my new SSD disk 120GB is system boot disk now.
When trying to update applications or download music purchased i am getting the error message you may not have enough access privileges and check your network connection and try again.
I am not using itunes match. able to update and download from mobile devices.
I have an Imac, with CS3. I use Iphoto to import my images straight from my canon 50D camera, which has been very easy for me to do. I've been importing jpegs up until now. Yesterday I attempted to import about 50 RAW images, but an error occurred and would not import them. So i suspect the error is because i am trying to import RAW images.
I tried to import a .mod converted (in Streamclip) .dv file into iMovie 6 but received the following error: The file could not be imported: The file Macintosh HD/Users/alix/Movies/MOV03A.dv cant be imported; QuickTime couldnt parse it: -39
I'm trying cut out a few clips from this video and I keep getting an error message when I try to import the video into IMovieHD.The movie is saved as a .vob file on a cd. I have permission to use everything from the video but only need a few clips. When ever I try to import the video into IMovie i get the message

I want to set up my 2006 mini with iTunes from my macbook. What is the best way to import or migrate it to that is is complete with playlists and podcasts etc?

I recently started doing a bunch of music importing on my rev. a 1.8 ssd. I must say I am quite impressed with the ~24x apple lossless import speeds I am seeing. this ssd kicks butt. Its quite a bit faster than my old 2.4 imac or white macbook.
How to import AudioBooks from Macbook OS 10.4.1 onto an Ipad2?Â
I have many audiobooks which I am currently attempting to have re-loaded via the Apple Support network and have requested that these Audiobooks purchased in good faith between 2008 - 2009 be made available for download on our recently purchased Ipad2 via ITunes. This download procedure has worked very well for the 18 songs purchased in the same period. However, I have followed a discussion on the Apple Support community by TASA posted on the Nov 13 2011 and have made a similar polite request to the Apple Support afficionados, so far with no success. My question is this How can i transfer the Audiobook files which appear as m4b across to the Ipad2. I cannot sync the MacBook because the operating system is a mismatch. Attempting to use a camera connection kit by Apple and using an SD card to copy a single audi file has not worked. What other recourse of action is there?Â
It is all very well suggesting that Audiobooks can only be downloaded once, as has been mentioned by a discussion pundit. However this was not in the Terms and Conditions from 2008, of which I have a copy.
After migrating my old iMac to my new one, every time I start iTunes, I get the following message: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (4002).
How do I solve the issue of this message "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation" on my iTunes? I already went to the folder of iTunes inside the Finder and change all permissions to allow read and write... no improvement at all.
When I attempt to upgrade I get an error message, "Could not purchase "iTunes Plus Upgrade". An unknown error occured (1004)." This has occurred over the last few days and after restarting.
Just went from Windows to mac and want to bring my windows itunes playlists. when I hit export and save it on a usb and hit import in mac itunes, then I get the playlist but its all empty. It kinda sucks if I have to sort out all the good stuff again, so I hope I can get my old playlist back. I have it on my ipod touch as well, so I dunno if you can transfer playlist from ipod to mac
