Everytime I upload that ical backup file... nothing happens in google calendar. It does nothing in Firefox... and safari I just get 0 was transferred. I just want to bring over my calendar to google. Does anyone know what is going on? Anything I am missing?
I have lost all my address book and iCal content on my MacBook Pro. How do I restore from my iPhone? I tried synchronising my iPhone to the MacPro but then lost all the content on the iPhone. I managed to get it back using the restore. This means the only content I have for Address Book and iCal sits on my iPhone!

I have wiped my calendar data and cannot find how to restore it from Time Machine. Have looked at several posts but my problem is that I cannot find my Library/Calendar location or any iCal files. What should I look for and could the files be hidden?

One of several calendars was accidentally deleted from the desktop. It is still present on the iPad and backed up to the desktop. Additionally, the iPad version can no longer be edited, copied or moved.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import an ics file (made by a website) in ical.
When I'm trying to import it, iCal asks me in which calendar but when I click OK, i get the following error:
iCal can't read this file. there are no activities added... (or something like that, i translated it from dutch).
I've been searching for a way to import a CSV calendar file (intended for Outlook) into iCal. I googled this problem extensively and found a free on-line translator, but it did not work on the file I would like to import. I believe a commercial product can also do the deed, but I really don't want to cough up a bunch of money just to have this one file translated.

Yesterday I restored my late 2008 macbook and set it up as a new mac running Yosemite 10.10.1. Everything went great except I can't find my user file that would have my music and photo file in it.

ICal has decided it won't allow any more new Events, not from invoking New Event from the File menu and not from entering directly into the calendar itself. On click-drag in the calendar, a little box opens, just as though I were about to be able to enter a new Event, but on releasing the trackpad button, the box disappears.

I want to migrate from my iTunes account to my MobileMe/iCloud account. But before I can do that, I need to create a backup of my calendars. My problem is though, that iCal constantly freezes when I'm saving the backup file (via File > Export > iCal Archive…) and I have to force quit it after a while.Â

I'm wondering if there is a simple way to import a text file format into iCal. I have a variety of operations that would become immensely easier to do if I could create a CSV file, for example, in Excel or Open Office and then just import that into iCal, rather than sit there and type each item individually.I have both event data and tasks that I need to do bulk imports for.
I've searched high and low and most of what I find involves importing CSV into other applications and then exporting it to VCal files before finally bringing the data into iCal.There has to be a simpler way.
Does anyone have the Mac Mini setup as a Server for File Sharing, iCal Sharing, etc. using 10.5 Leopard Server. If so, does it work well or are there issues. Currently, I have a Western Digital My Book hooked up to the Time Capsule to share files, but the lack of setting permissions will not work in the near future.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed GCALdaemon to sync iCAL with Google. Everything went well until I came to this:
Put a colored label on all folders in '~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources'.
open ~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources
Terminal ********:~ Roody$ open ~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources
The files /Users/Roody/Library/Application and /Users/Roody/Support/iCal/Sources do not exist.
So I checked and it doesn't exist indeed.
I do a home photo editing business. One of a my clients sent me a disc that she zipped to compress because there were a lot of pictures on it. When I try to open it on my Mac Book Pro I keep getting an error message that it cannot find alias and what program do I want to use to open it. It also gives me an option to "fix alias" but it doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? Why can't I open zip files on my Mac Book Pro? I should probably mention that the client also uses a Mac Book Pro and her pictures were in her iPhoto before she zipped them on a disc.Â

the only solution i've found that works is i have to re download itunes everytime to make the restore or upgrading my iphone work, i've tryed the recovery mode and the dfu mode itunes just sits there after the final loading process, so my question is is there a way i can get it working back to normal without having to re downloading itunes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iMac wouldn't boot. All it would do is come up to a utility screen. So, I opted to restore from a backup (I use Time Machine that does backups to an external drive connected to the fire-wire port). I select the date of the backup that I wanted to restore and went to the next screen. When it got to the next screen where you needed to select a destination drive... it didn't find any in the system (there was no drive to select).
I assumed the hard drive died so I bought a new one. I put that in this evening and when I tried to boot the machine and restore from a backup to the new internal drive... the same thing happened. It did not recognize the new hard drive I just installed. I replaced a 500 GB Western Digital hard drive with a 1 TB Western Digital hard drive. Now I'm thinking the original hard drive is still good.

I had to restore my system due to the Trojan virus and seem to be up and running with a lot of info from these boards. The only problem I still have is not being able to restore my itunes to the latest play list. I keep getting the list I loaded in May of 2011 when I put this computer in service. Where I can find the list I had before dumping and reloading?

When I activate Time Machine everything works fine. Last night I noticed that the "Restore" and "Cancel" buttons on the right and left sides of the screen aren't there. I can click where they should be and it either restores or cancels; I just can't see them. What happened?
